Happy Mother’s Day to everyone . Hope the day is nice for all.
Seaside: it warms my heart to see you posting on here. Please continue and we won’t kick you off. We are a very mild group. We talk about things in our daily life....gripe about weather....husbands.....we are probably kind of boring...talk about dinner, naps, no,politics, just things in general. you will be a perfect fit. You even get to talk about one controversial subject....your raiders and you have back up with Barb. Hopefully fb will let you back on but even if they do, still stay with us here on the blog. We love having you over here. I will, call you soon
I don’t do well with heat either but I don’t like the snow. I like spring and fall,if we are lucky enough to. Have it.

Mary, glad you got a few more Pt sessions. I sure that will, help that shoulder. Glad to hear Jim Is busy with yard work. What’s for dinner. Please don’t say you’re cooking on Mother’s Day!

Barb, what fabiulous meal is chad making today....ms lucky!! We are having jimmy johns sitting in Tammy’s drive-way. Fun day!

JL, how’s your back? Mine is terrible and he has me on all kinds of meds and nothing is helping. Oh well I guess

Dianne Happy Mother's Day! It sounds like you will have a nice visit with your daughter even though it will be out in the driveway. Here's hoping for nice weather but not too hot.

Last night I broke my strict protocol and went to my friend Kathy's house for dinner. We usually go out once a month for dinner and alternate who pays, Anyway, we've been missing out visits so decided to visit with strict rules. She's a great cook and made shrimp scampi which I love. I made brownies for dessert which she loves so that was a great dinner for us both. She has not left the house since the shelter in place. Her husband has only gone out for food. We all were freshly bathed, shampooed, and wearing freshly laundered clothes. I sprayed my purse down with Lysol before going to their house. We wore our masks except when we started eating and I sat alone at the far end of their large dining room table. I think we did a good job of visiting while still staying safe.

I really laughed at you being muted during your virtual meeting because Louis was snoring next to you.

Did you go to the dentist about your jaw pain?

Seasidelady Welcome and Happy Mother's Day.

We never got to know each other. I was a late arrival on the Ross Blog and although we both have been to Owl get-togethers, we were never at the same one at the same time.

I used to be Just Lin on FB and the powers that be had me provide evidence that was my real name, too. Of course it wasn't so I had to change that. I don't know why they don't accept Seaside if you have documents they asked for that have that name. I mean, really. What skin is it off off their nose, anyway?

Mary Happy Mother's Day@! I hope you are being treated special today.

I'm trying to decide if I should cook tonight or order something special. I could make chicken piccata but a few of my favorite restaurants are doing Take Out and I'm finding that idea pretty alluring. The deciding factor may be if I feel I should do hair and make-up today. LOL

I'm glad you will be able to get more PT. My daughter had an injection in her shoulder. As of the other day, it hasn't really helped her "frozen" shoulder much at all. They said to give it 2 weeks and that will be Tuesday. If she does nothing, it should clear up in about 18 months. Otherwise, it's surgery.

Barb Happy Mother's Day! Will Chad be cooking something special?

My nails are such a mess now. I hope my Vietnamese nail people can weather this long shutdown. They are very frugal people as they need to support elderly family back home.

Elizabeth sent me an orchid plant. Well, it turns out it was a different arrangement that she actually ordered but it was an orchid that I got. LOL I just hope I don't kill it. My son is on a very tight budget so I don't expect anything but a text or phone call from him. He is very good about always telling me he loves me so I am lucky in that regard.

It looks like the temperature is inching up past 75. If it goes much higher, I will start whining. Even my dog doesn't like it. When we were out on the deck earlier this morning when I was putting out the bird seed, she was already panting. She's like me. It doesn't take much for us to be uncomfortable with the heat.

Dianne, Happy Mother's day!! I made breakfast and have a large split chicken in the oven. I have a temp, semi permanent color setting on my roots right now. I sure look cute! The last two applications didn't take very well, so I am leaving this on a bit longer. How vain eh?

JustLin,My no 1 son called last night and serenaded me on his guitar. He and his wife were wayyyy intoxicated lol! Jim surprised me with a card and a box of my fave. Choc. "Turtles". Matthew feels bad because he didn't venture out to get his usual card. He is very careful staying home because of Jim's underlying condition and of course my age lol! I told him he is my Mother's day gift everyday he is here. He did buy me Alexa and rebuilt my computer , so that counts a lot!

SacBarb, I hope you are having a relaxing day, you know, from all the shopping, walking, traveling, and dining out lol! I bet it's nice having Chad there especially during this time. I know I appreciate Matt being here. He doesn't do much cooking, as I rarely allow it lol, but he does cook a burger now and then, and makes his own breakfast when he is up before me.

Seaside, I have always love that name! Nothing makes me happier then sitting and watching the waves, whether on a cruise or on the beach.

Enjoy your Mother's day all!!

I thought I posted on Mother’s Day, but I don’t see it. I hope everyone had a nice day. Chad cooked ribs on the smoker and made a rub for them that was delish. We had leftovers for Monday, too.
You all probably saw my FB post about someone ripping off one of our lilies on Mother’s Day. Chad id researching camera systems so if it happens again, hopefully it will be on camera. We think it may be someone from next door, but we can’t accuse if we don’t have proof.

JL, How nice that you went to dinner at your friend’s. It sounds like you all took the necessary precautions, so it should be OK. I was given an orchid once and I kept it alive for about a year, then all of a sudden, it just died. I did nothing differently, so I don’t know why! I have never been good with plants, though.

Mary, I did have a relaxing day, which wasn’t much different from the past 7 weeks. LOL. I have been doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles on my phone. My computer has crashed for the final time, so I will be getting a new one soon. Chad is doing some research on them for me. I have always used a desk top and he thinks I should get a laptop. I’m conflicted about it. I think I need the bigger screen a desk top provides, because my eyesight is not great.

Dianne, have you seen a dentist about your jaw, yet? I got an email from my dentist saying they are open again and I can schedule my appointment that was supposed to happen in April, and also what their new protocol is. They will be wiping everything down in front of the patients now, to make them more comfortable about about how everything is sanitized.

Seaside, I hope Facebook will let you post again, soon. I miss seeing that cute Gidget.

SacBarb, I agree about the lap top vs HC. I am so glad my son gave me his old one and put my info in it. I can only take the small screen on my phone and tablet, for so long.
We have 3 cameras one facing the front door, the upper garage and the lower garage. We don't need one on the back patio as it is well lit with motion lights and can be seen easily from my kitchen. This house has many blind spots. I like to be able to see who is driving up.
RBQ ribs sound wonderful!!

It has been raining all day. Zoie hates the thunder! She either goes under the bed or runs up the stair to Matthew. We don't allow the stairs anymore, so we have to keep an eye on her.

Hi ya all!! Sounds like Mother's Day was a good one. I spent most of the day grocery shopping because my typical Friday errands didn't happen. This time I went to FOUR Safeway's before I found everything I needed. So crazy....but hey I can't survive without ice LOL!

Dianne--Thanks for the warmest welcome, I love being here too. And yeah I'm sure I will mention my RAIDERS from time to time but right now I'm just missing football! I will watch any team but that's not going to happen for a while. Poop 😥 You've always been quite patient with me and my RAIDERS. Maybe it's our mutual love for Manning! Lordy I miss that man!!

Hi Just_Lin! I remember you and was always disappointed we never ended up at the same get together. Don't you live in Pacifica, or am I thinking of someone else? I love that you got to have dinner and visit with your friend. Sounds like it was a lot of fun. I miss people so so much. Even all the strangers I meet along my errands. I am SO with you and the weather, 75 is ok but anything above that I'm a mess. It was in the 100's all last week and thought I would keal over! Cooler this week but supposed to be 90 tomorrow again. Not happy about that.

Mary--Well talk about a great Mother's Day. Cards, Alexa, rebuilt computer and intoxicated serenades!! Not much better than all that.

Barb---I think yours is the only beautiful face on here that I've seen in person. It sure was fun too, hope we get to do it again someday. I don't do anything on my phone except talk and text. For me it's just to small to really be fun. I don't have a desktop anymore but my laptop screen is 20 inches so it's nice and big. We had an executive board meeting on Monday on Zoom and it was really nice seeing everyone's faces. Couple weeks ago I had a video doctors appointment on the computer and it was SO nice. My doctor is wonderful and I loved seeing him.

Well ya all what's for dinner????? Wish the heck I knew, all I know is I'm hungry.
Take care**be safe** have fun! Love ya all 😎

Seaside! Did you forget seeing me at Judy's home? I believe you had a few family members with you. You brought us all a little gift bag.

We usually have pizza on Friday. We try different places .
Today was my last PT day. Man did he give me a work-out! I don't mean it in a "good way" lol!
I have been worried about Jim. He has not been looking or feeling to well. His legs really bother him. I make him take his phone when he walks his dog. Tonight I went along with them. I left Zoie home because she tires easily lately. Dam, we are all falling apart here lol!
Her ramp is supposed to be here Monday.
