I see we have moved lol! I am re-posting from area 51

SacBarb,I made my last batch last night while making home made pizza. It took a toll on my back! Coring 12 quarts of strawberries is easy, but time consuming & back breaking! I went to the Drug store and bought a large flat bag to go in the freezer for my back. Motrin never helps my lower back. Today I went back on the tiny pain pill I have for my arm. I am not supposed to mix Motrin with it. With ice and the pill I am doing better.

Dianne, I still use my hats to keep the hot sun rays from lightening my new color. I have dark burgundy now. I love it! I may pm you my before and after pics lol. Too ugly! I still need to get a pedi. I have been trimming my own toe nails , but it's way too hard to see and bend over. Old age is the pits sometimes lol!!

Seaside. I bought Jim a nice bracelet because of his heart condition, but he never wears it. Men! I can't even get him to use a cane when he takes his Queenie out back for walks! He has been having a terrible time these last few days. He can barely walk 20 steps before feeling light headed.

JustLin, Well, Jim did it! He signed the papers and we will be getting our new whole house generator in about 3 weeks. Almost $10,00 because our whole house is electric. Their business is very busy. Actually it's the electrician that is 3 wks behind, probably because of all the power outages we have had.
I have had to take over walking & feeding Queenie and doing small things for Jim. His health has had me scared the last 3 days. Sometimes he can barely walk to the patio.....to smoke! Today he is looking better. I have been really pushing the water and Gatorade. He is not much of a water drinker. He may have been dehydrated. Men are such babies!

Wishing all Fathers out there, on earth or in heaven, a Happy Father's day!

Mary Yay for getting the generator. Was that $10,000? That is pricey for sure but what a blessing it will be when you need it. I'm glad that Jim finally gave in on that.

OMG! That's a lot of strawberries you were coring! No wonder your back was killing you. Could you sit at a table and do it? My back always kills me when I do the Christmas baking. It used to bother me a lot when I would wash all my dishes by hand. I was so happy when we remodeled the kitchen and I got a dishwasher installed. I still feel pleased as punch when I hear it running.

I want to see a pic of your new hair color. Sounds great. I'm still undecided about what to do with mine. I think hairdressers are opening back up this week but I'm not sure I'm ready to go, though. I'm still very concerned about exposure to the virus. I guess it would be safer to go earlier rather than later. We'll see. I saw that my nail place was open today. Not sure when I'll do that, either. My nails are thin and weak and having acrylic nails has not done them any favors. Maybe I'll let my natural nails "breathe" for a while longer. They look like crap. They peal and chip so easily.

Barb No, I haven't watched any of the rehashed Bachelor shows. I guess that's about all they can do now. I don't even like to read books more than once. One exception I have to that is The Stand by Stephen King. I think I read that 3 times. It's been so many years now, that I could read it again now and enjoy it all over again. I don't generally watch movies more than once, either. Jaws tends to suck me in, though. And I love the old Cary Grant flick, "Arsenic and Old Lace". It still makes me laugh. I guess "Fawlty Towers" never gets old to me, either. I guess the only time I watch a movie more than once is if I really loved the movie and am forcing someone else to watch it. LOL

My shoulder is still bad but better than a week ago. It's my left shoulder which is the one I need to hold my hair dryer when fixing my hair. I use the term "fixing" very loosely. Anyway, on Thursday I see my doctor and immediately after that I go one floor down to have my mammogram. It will be interesting to see if I can hold my left arm up and in place they way they want you to to get it out of the way when positioning the breast and getting the image.

Seaside Your little dog looks adorable. My dog is 82 lbs so "adorable" is not a term people use for her but they do say she is very pretty. Our big outing today was to go to the local pet store and get treats and some new toys. My dog will be 11 years old on July 3. Speaking of July....Someone in the neighborhood keeps setting off explosives. It's bad enough when this happens on the 4th and for a week or two afterward. My dog is terrified of these random bombs.

I also put peanuts out for squirrels and large birds. I put smaller seed out for the small birds. I enjoy watching them. My daughter put a bird house on her fence and a couple of chickadees nested in it. She videoed the babies coming out and flying for the first time. So cute!

JustLin, LOL, yes $10,000. My nails got pretty brittle from the shellac. I have been resting them for about 6 months. They are much better now. I need to make an appt for my pedi. I keep forgetting.
Sitting doing strawberry never helps once the pain starts. Really, the best thing that works for me is, ice and complete bed rest for at least 6 hrs. I rarely sleep more than 5, so I just lay and watch tv, until my bladder speaks to me lol!!
Your arm pain sounds just like my partial torn rotator cup. Therapy helped a lot. some exercises hurt, but I did them any way. I need to keep doing them, as I noticed today I was getting some pain today while blow drying my hair.

Time to get my sheets back on my bed. Zoie is getting anxious and wants to go to bed. She is a stinker this time a night.

Dianne We haven't heard about your cakes. Did you make them and did you like them? Inquiring minds want to know.

How was your visit with your new great niece? Isn't it fun to buy baby clothes? That's the only kind of clothes shopping that I really enjoy doing. They are so cute now.

I had a nice surprise the other day. I received an email from Amazon asking if I would answer a question for a customer about the hairspray I order through them. The question was from someone named Adrienne and she wanted to know if the hairspray was manufactured in Texas. I went and looked at my can and answered, "Yes. In Houston, Texas." A couple days later, I got a free can of hairspray from the manufacturer. Surprise! I wasn't expecting that.

JL....I haven’t made the cakes yet. I was going to make the pina colada one today but didn’t....I’m so lazy. I haven’t cooked since last week. We went to Father’s Day dinner with the family last night. It was nice to see everyone. Kayla and Ben didn’t come because they were once again fighting. He then cut his foot on glass and had to go to urgent care and get stitches. Kayla told me today that he is putting in some applications for a job....I’ll believe it when I see it. Ems boyfriend is working for door dash now and making some decent money doing it....finally. Wow, that’s nice you got a new can of spray. I’ve answered questions like that but never recd a gift for it. Our visit with little Lydia was great. She’s adorable. Yes, I love getting those girl clothes. Joanna said they have enough clothes until she’s 4! I think I’ll quit buying for awhile.

Mary, so glad you’re getting the generator. Was that Jim’s Father’s Day gift? How’s Jim feeling this week? I hope better. I’m taking my x sister in law to dinner tmrw night for her May bday. I have a Groupon too. Yes, we need to see your new hair. I was reading about our casinos now that they opened. Every other machine is turned off and when you leave a machine they clean it and out a paper on it that it’s been cleaned.

We r going to dinner on Friday night for her bday. I’m sure sleepy tonight.

Barb, I see they are doing bachelor replays every week now I’m like JL, I don’t like to see most movies again or re-read a book at all.

'Seaside, I hope you get back on fb soon.

Well, I have some things to do before bedtime and I getting very very tired Night all I

Hey ya all.......
DIANNE Well at least you get to see pictures of BRONCO's stadium. I get to see pictures of RAIDERS stadium....in Las Vegas!!! poop---but through it all they're still My RAIDERS and always will be. As long as some idiot doesn't decide to change their name I can live with it. And just like you I wouldn't be going to a game anyway, at least not now. Sure do need to see it on tv though! Yes things are opening up here and most of California. My Munchkin is uncontrollably happy and excited because he can have his hair cut next week. And for that I am truly grateful LOL! Got an email----my new PINK bracelet is on it's way YAY!

MARY I'm sorry Jim has a bit of a time walking. I guess he'll use the cane when he absolutely
has to right? Silly men. So glad you guys got the generator and I'm sure the first time you need it, it will be worth it.

Just Lin 82 pounds?!?!?! Eighty two?! Let's see....how many Gidget's would that make LOL!! What kind of baby is she? Wish I could get my hands on her, I would squeeeeeze her and lots of kisses of course. If she likes that anyway. Don't even get me started with the #(*&^ fireworks! Seems every year people complain how much worse it is than the year before. Not here because it's super bad for at least two months, every single night. I live across the street from a huge park so people (idiots!) are always over there doing stupid stuff like that. My baby is a mess. She's either wrapped around my neck or hiding behind the toilet. It just breaks my heart that our babies have to go through that. Illegal means nothing.

I haven't heard anything from Facebook. Zip zero nada! I have no way to contact them. The only way you can contact them is when you're logged in and DUH! I can't log in. I'm at a loss. Missing ya all on there and seeing faces I love.
I hope everybody is safe and healthy and finding fun! LOVE ya all πŸ₯°πŸΆπŸ˜»πŸΏπŸ¦…πŸ€

OK Dianne, here I am. Sorry for being MIA. The days are becoming a blur and I don’t realize how many have passed since I checked the blog. Anyway, we haven’t been doing much. Chad cooked corned beef and cabbage on Father’s day. We didn’t go out to the cemetery this year. I was afraid there would be a lot of people. It’s been very boring at my house.

Seaside, I wonder if we can advocate for you to FB? How can I contact them? Or, can you email them, if you can’t logon? The are sure being jerks! How long is your term on the board? Is it a elected or appointed position? I hope the chaos has been eliminated with that last board action. It can be so stressful.

Mary, I remember making strawberry jam many years ago. I was much younger and it still wore me out. A friend gave us 6 flats of berries and I don’t remember how many jars of jam we made, but it took about 3 days. I never wanted to do it again.
Congratulations of buying the generator. You will be so happy the next time the power goes out. I can understand why Jim was reluctant to get it. That’s a lot of $$$.
What’s the little pill you take for pain called? I tried the gabapentin and it wasn’t any better than Tylenol . I can’t tale any ibuprofen because of my kidney disease, so I just take Tylenol.

JL, Do you have a Thundershirt for Ursula? Todd has one for Sakima and it helps for the fireworks noise. Sakima had two seizures over the weekend and their Vet put him on phenobarbital. This was the second episode he had and they did $1200 worth of tests on him. No diagnosis resulted from all the tests. I don’t remember if I mentioned that Todd got laid off due to the virus, but thankfully he has another job. Since he worked for the company for 9 years, his severance takes him through September, so his new employer hired him as an independent contractor until that runs out and his perm/full time position starts in October. He is on Vicki’s health insurance, so it works out well.
