JL, sounded like u had a fun fourth planned. How was it? Fireworks are not allowed her but they r going of for days anyway. Scares me with the fields around and being so dry. We went north from her and met my two uncles and wives at the outback. We were home by 6:30. It was fun as always. What did e everyone else do? We like to,
watch the firework shows on tv.

Went to my primary yesterday and she was not ok at me even looking at back surgery. She said it’s a slim chance it works and recovery is terrible. That convinced me! She suggested radio frequency ablation. You have to go through tests to see if your a candidate and they put u out like shots and they burn your nerves. She said is much more successful and not hardly a recovery. Louis’s back is already hurting Naha and he wants surgery. He irritates me because he thinks he can do this between our Branson trip and cruise. He thinks recovery is three months. Oh, and then they will let him drive 2900 miles to Galveston? I doubt it. I think he’ll get shots again down the road. He’s big on surgery…Not me. I’ll.deal with it

I’m back in Ww again and even tracking. Lost 3.6 last week and 3.7 this week. I’m tracking but always in the minus on points. Oh well, I’m trying.

What have the rest of you been up to? Barb, Bebbie, Mary, seaside? Hello!

Hello my sweet Owls. I was having trouble getting in to the posting again. I don’t know what the heck’s wrong. But it finally worked and here I am. I’m still trying to clear up my sister’s credit card issue. I finally closed the account on January 31 and also put a credit freeze on her social security number with the three major credit companies. I’m really glad I did that because About a month after I put the freeze on, I got a letter from U. S. Bank denying to open a credit account because there’s a freeze on my account! Identity theft is really a nightmare! These perpetrators are relentless! My sister isn’t as affected by it it all because she doesn’t even realize what’s going on. I have finally quit telling her about each incident because she doesn’t remember 10 minutes later! It’s all very frustrating and exhausting for me. I’m so grateful to have Chad here to do some of the physical things for Marie, like gross-ry shopping and helping with stuff at her house.

On a lighter and happier note, Lynn is traveling in Northern CA with some cousins and we plan to meet up for lunch on Sunday. It will be so nice to see her.

Hi…BARB, THAT WILL be fun to have lunch with Lynn. Has it been a long time since you’ve see her? Boy, that credit card saga as really gone on forever, hasn’t it? Will it ever be done you’re probably thinking. It’s been pretty hot here and going up to 100 the next two days. I’m going to a friends 50th bday party at 6 tmrw evening. Hopefully it will have cooled off some by then. She’s having it at a bowling alley outside. Hope it doesn’t rain. I think she’s having karaoke too. Hope it’s manageable for me to get in there.

Ok….where r the rest Of you? Blog has been up since the 4th and no posts. I’m coming looking for u all again….

Here I am. I slid over from messenger.
Barb you sure gave me a funny visual of you begging the UPS guy lol!
Not much happening here either. I still manage to keep busy some how.
I went to my Chiro today and had a pedi.
Yesterday, Thurs. was Jim's 78th birthday. He went to the casino for a few hours. I had a pork chop dinner ready when he got home, and his Birthday cake. He always goes to the VFW on Thurs & Sunday evenings.
I was going to another funeral Thurs. @ 11:00, but decided I had been to too many lately and didn't go. He was very big in out community. He was very loved He had been in the school system, incl. teacher, principal & after retirement went back as a sub. He also handled the entertainment and advertising for our huge Fair. He had a mind of steel! He could tell you about things that happened 40 yrs ago and what he wore that day and the weather. I loved hearing him talk when I ran into him at the grocery store.

I have been having tummy issues for a few days. Mostly I feel fine, but I can't seem to keep out of the bathroom! It's probably something to do with my missing gallbladder and the junk I have been eating.

I have been looking for certain patio chairs in the market place and finally found 4. They don't make the heavy metal, rocking and swivel chairs anymore. Most are cheep plastic. I have been looking for a few years for used ones. Most have been over $100. Well, I found these for a total of $20! I repainted them and they look brand new! Doesn't take much to excite me lol! Well, maybe a cute UPS guy! LOL!

Dianne I had a good time on July 4. We had our 2nd Annual Block Party so lots of people were out on the street playing games, grilling or smoking meats, and socializing. It's weird that we had been having foggy, cold weather right up until the 4th and then it was great weather on the holiday (actually hot in the sun) and beautiful blue skies. I hung out with the family across the street, mostly. I made baked beans to contribute to our feast. We also had tri-tip, pulled pork, rolls, watermelon slices and several kinds of salads. The neighbor two doors down from me had his soft serve ice cream machine available so people could make their own ice cream cones. He also spent $1,000 on fireworks, probably mostly the illegal kind, which are spectacular to look at. My city is one of only two in the whole county that allows Safe and Sane fireworks. He probably had some of those legal ones, too. LOL At one point, a cop came walking up the street and went and talked to him but I guess nothing much happened. Maybe a warning? As the cop walked away, two teenage boys ran after him and he agreed to take a selfie with them as they held their lit sparklers. LOL After sitting in the sun all day and drinking the Gin Fizzes that my neighbor was making, I was pretty bushed by 9:30 and went inside. The next day, it was so foggy and drizzling, that I kept having to turn on my windshield wipers when I ran errands.

I don't blame you for not being enthused about surgery. The radio frequency ablation sounds like a better choice for you and your back. It looks like my friend who likes to cook needs to have shoulder replacement surgery. She'd had a rotator cuff problem for many years but now it's really hurting. I think I better start up with my physical therapy exercises for my rotator cuff so maybe I won't ever get to the point where surgery is needed.

Barb Well, that's going to be fun to get together with Lynn. It's too bad that time constraints prevent her and I from getting together while she's visiting SF and I'm unable to drive up to your neck of the woods on Sunday. It's funny because when she posted that she was in Remo, I thought to myself, "Too bad Barb and I can't meet her there". I didn't realize her road trip was going beyond that.

You must be looking forward to the day when all the Marie stuff is done. What a nightmare this has been for you. I'm very grateful that you have Chad there, too.

It will be interesting to see how they do Bachelorette with two women. It seems like we will only be seeing half of each other journeys, doesn't it. Maybe all the dates will be double dates. LOL

Mary Happy birthday to Jim! Did you make his favorite cake and what was that? I remember my mom would always ask me what kind of cake I wanted for my birthday. My two favorites were and still are yellow cake with chocolate frosting or devils food cake with chocolate frosting. I think the devils food cake was always my choice on my birthday. My brother's favorite was German's Chocolate cake and now that mom is gone, he makes it himself for his birthday using mom's recipe for the frosting.

Good for you for finally finding the patio furniture you had been looking for and being so industrious as to paint them yourself. I think you get more physical exercise than anyone I know. You are little but mighty, that's for sure.

I forgot to tell you about my Amazon delivery. No, it has nothing to do with a hot delivery guy. LOL I had ordered several different things so I had 3 boxes to open. The last one I opened was definitely not for me. I looked at the label and realized it was supposed to go to my new neighbor next door. I took the package over there and apologize for opening it as I had assumed it was for me. He leaned down and picked up a box off of a nearby chair and told me the same thing happened to him and that that box was actually for me. We exchanged our orders and laughed.
