HAPPY EASTER! I hope everyone has a lovely day. I know Mary will be basking in the warm sunshine. It looks to be a very nice day here. No hunting for Easter eggs but I did find $47 in a drawer yesterday. I had a vague recollection of putting it there but it took me a while to remember why. I finally remembered that I put it there as payment for my local taxi guy in case I spent all my money while away on a trip. I'm sure he would have taken a credit card but that was my thinking at the time. I didn't need him to pick me up for the last two trips I was on so it must have been my Europe trip with my daughter last April. Anyway, I put the money in my purse and saw that I only had $48 in there to begin with so I basically doubled my money yesterday. LOL

Happy Easter everyone. I just got home from a nice day with Dean and family, including his MIL. She was in a very good mood today and not snarky like she usually is. I stayed pretty far away from her and after we ate and the dishes were done, my DIL, her daughter, her mother and my sister all went into the living room and Dean and I stayed at the table and chatted. It worked out well.

J/L, I guess I can't post from my phone. I wrote the above post and tried to post it but my phone wouldn't post it so I had to type it again.

I love it when I find money. When Michelle and I were cleaning out the closet, I made sure to check every pocket of the clothes I was donating. I didn't find any money this time, but when I first retired I donated a lot of work clothes that I knew I wouldn't need and when I went through the pockets, I found a LOT of money. When I went out of the office for lunch instead of taking my purse, I just put $20 in my pocket and usually forgot to take out the change from lunch. I would find it the next time I wore that jacket, pants or skirt. I never bought one of those items unless they had pockets. So, I always check the pockets before getting rid of any clothes.

I have been boxing up stuff and going through files for a few days getting ready for the floor guys. I thought I could do it by myself so I wouldn't have to spend any more money to have someone help me, but it is not to be. It's too big a job, so I called Michelle and she is coming over on Monday and is prepared to work from 10:00am to 5:pm until Friday, if needed. The floor guys will be here at 8am a week from Monday.

Dianne, I put about 7 drops of the oil on my tongue and take it that way. I can mix it in with food, but it doesn't taste too bad, so I just drop it. It has peppermint mixed in it so it has a slightly minty taste. I haven't noticed it helping with my pain yet, but I am sleeping a little better.

Mary, I see you're having fun in the sun. You should be all rested when you get back home to resume your nursing duties. :)

Barb It sounds like you had a pleasant Easter and the MIL was even acting like a normal human being. Yay for that!

My Easter morning sure wasn't what I expected. My dog has a little growth on the inside of her left hind leg and I guess she injured it or something because all of a sudden I looked over at her and she had blood all over. Not only was it running down her leg, but it was all over her belly, tail, front leg and even her face. Oh, and she had been on the couch so blood pools on two cushions. So, instead of making deviled eggs, I was removing cushion covers and washing them (thank goodness they are removable) and trying to wipe her down as best I could. That sucker just would not stop bleeding for the longest time. Once my daughter arrived with her two dogs, I dashed to Rite Aid to get a syptic pencil in case I had to resort to that. As it turned out, I didn't. That was definitely not the way I wanted to spend my morning. I was able to drop my dog off at the vet's today to get that growth removed. I don't want to go through all of that again and I sure don't want it to happen when she's staying at my daughter's next month.

Oh, and another thing.... I had ordered HoneyBaked hams to be delivered to my brother, my son, and myself. I just got mini hams for my brother and I but ordered an 8 pounder for my son's family. Anyway, my son's ham had NO glaze on it. None! The glaze is why it's called HoneyBaked. My son said the meat was still delicious and he went and got stuff and made his own glaze for it. However, these are expensive hams so I just sent a complaint to the company about it.

Hi....Just here hanging out gaining weight eating Easter candy. I gained 2 pounds at ww today. I knew I would. I was so good at the brunch but not so good with candy that I buy. I then went to store Monday and it was 50% off...not good. I’ve got to get back on my plan. I still don’t drink soda but the candy kills me!

JL, I’d be mad about the hams too. They aren’t cheap and then to have them wrong. Have you heard back from the company? How’s your dog doing? Poor thing having to wear that cone. How’s that working out? Did your couch come clean? Scary. Nice that you’re finding $. I never do unless it’s a quarter in the washer and then I keep it.

I’m going to take myself to the movie tomorrow to see Three Billboards. It’s at the $3 movie. I have a diabetic and blood check in the morning and then I’ll go to movie in the afternoon. Heck, I might even buy some popcorn. Did you all see the ads for the Cheeto popcorn? I wnder if thats good? I’m sure no calories.

Barb, how’s the house going? I thought you might need some help...that’s a huge process. Are you going to be ready in time? It sounds like you had a nice Easter. It’s always fun to get some time alone with our sons. Barb, don’t you have an iPad? It seems like you do and you can post from there. I do everything on IPad...don’t even have a computer anymore. Any notice on the oil yet?

Mary, are you having a great time? Hope no sunburns. The water looks beautiful.

My ex son in law has to invited us to a Christmas trip to the Dominion Republic ..expenses paid. He thinks it’s the last family Christmas we will have with the kids getting older ( I don’t know where he thinks they are going) very nice but I’m totally not comfortable for Wendy (his wife) to pay for our trip. Tammy and fiancĂ© going too. Also I’m not thrilled with the heat and getting around the resort. I’m not a beach/pool person and I don’t think my travel chair would work in the sand so great! I told LOUIS to go..it’s ok with me but I dont think he will co it. PLus we go on our cruise two weeks later. It simply doesn’t feel right to me.

Hope you’re all doing well.

Where are you all ? No one has posted since the 2nd except me. I think I just have a boring life since I post so much.

Mary, you dinner looked delicious. I think you come home tomorrow. I hope Jim did fine while you were gone and that you had a wonderful trip.

Got my hair and nails done today. It’s cold and light snow all day. Opening day for baseball and it was 25 degrees. Brr...glad I wasn’t there. I like the movie except not the ending too much. There were about 18 of us in the theater. Had our taxes done and owe for the first time in my life ...not happy or expected.

Ok..that’s it. Check in my friends or I’ll have to go round you up!
