If you haven't seen it, what are you waiting for?

Dianne Well, it looks like Tina liked the movie a lot. I still haven't seen it. John is doing great after his angioplasty but Jane came down with sinusitis. She probably got it from hanging around the hospital. I had dinner with them last night at a local little place we sometimes frequent for a casual dinner. She sounded like crap and just wanted to go home and lie down. She had gone to the doctor in the afternoon. There's another movie out right now that I am interested in seeing. It stars Melissa McCarthy and it's a serious role based on a true story. It looks very interesting.

Mary Well, darn it! If you would have won that lottery, I was hoping you'd take us all on a trip. I guess your luck is dependent on being in a casino. I didn't even buy a ticket.

I laughed when I wrote about your mail lady and how you "tip her over Christmas". I had a visual image of you pushing her down. LOL

Barb Well, how's it going with the kitties? Has any mingling occurred?

I've never been to Pinkberry nor have I seen one around here. Is it frozen yogurt? When I was working in Burlingame, there was a frozen yogurt place nearby and I really liked their chocolate frozen yogurt. Regular yogurt I don't care for. I keep trying to like it but I just don't.

I'm not sure If I will go to that movie. I have seen 3 versions. My favorite one was with Kris Kristofferson.

JustLin, yes, it would have been a hell of a trip lol!
LOL, @ my "tipping".

The two Jennifers took me to see A Star Is Born and we all LOVED it. Everyone burst into applause when it was over.

J/L, we have mingled the cats and it is going so-so. Tara, whose meow is just a soft squeak, hisses and does a low, soft growl when she sees any of the new cats and Mellie also hisses at them. So far, no contact has been made between my cats and the newbies, but twice Niko and Trinity have gotten into a screaming match lasting about 10-15 seconds and some fur did fly. Apparently they have never liked each other. They do try to stay away from each other. Niko looks a little like Mellie and sometimes Tara will hiss at Mellie. Not sure if she thinks it’s Niko, or she is just pissed about the ‘crowd.’

Mary, Chad and I went together and got $40 worth of Lottery tics and we won a whopping $8. I have seen the theee prior Star movies also, and I still loved this one. Each one was a little different, and the music was different in all of them. It is well worth seeing, imo.

Dianne, I would like to see that movie with Melissa McCarthy too. The Gilmore Girls are airing on POP TV and I watched a couple of episodes last night. I really liked that show, and Melissa did a great job playing the cook at the Inn.

Mary 2, I think you said you never heard of Pinkberry. Yes, it’s frozen yogurt and Ross used to talk about it in his blogs. For a long time it was only in SoCal, I think. We finally got one here about two years ago. My fave flavor is their chocolate hazelnut and I usually get candy pecans on it.

SacBarb, I am wondering if that is where I went in Vegas. I never paid attention to the name. It's a serve yourself and your container of goodies gets weighed. Not sure it's the same . I will prolly see that movie if it comes to our small town.

I almost have everything packed for my gig tomorrow. Jim will help me unload and put up speakers, then drive home. I don't mind doing it by myself. Sometimes having Jim there is more work lol! I usually know everyone there, so it's a lot of fun. It is pretty hectic until after the costume contest, then most head out to other bars with contests. It gives me a break until they come back.
I will probably tell Jim to stay home (usually been drinking) and pack my stuff up. I usually find a couple of guys to take my speakers down.

Have a great week end all!
Oh, btw, I won $6.00 lol!

Hi...Mary, we won $18 and bought more for the power ball. I bought a few more today. If I could just win a million I’d be happy! I think it’s fun to see people in costumes. Some are so original. I’ll bet you will have fun. Do a lot of people show up? It sounds like it. Mary, I’ve seem the movies too and this is well worth seeing. I loved it.

Barb, I remember Ross always blogging about that yogurt place. We don’t have any here either. I was hoping to go to in and out when we were going to drive to LA for cruise but that’s out. Maybe there will be one in Long Beach but we won’t have a car anyway...never mind. Are you enjoying Chad cooking for you? I’ve watched the two episodes of The Connors as I wanted to see what it was like when they had rose Ann die. Actually it’s been kind of good. I think the ratings aren’t great but I get a chuckle out of it.

JL, what’s the name of the Melissa McCarthy movie? I think I might have seen coming attractions a while back. I really like her. How’s your leg feeling? Is it still swelling or hurting? I’m trying to stick to my ww points and having one heck of a time doing it. Erything is so high in points....even those fun size candy bars. I have an issue with sugar ...I love it!

Today Emilee and her boyfriend came over to a few things around here for me like organize and clean the ndercmy bathroom sink as I just can’t get way back there. She ended up taking a lot of things home with her. We all went to lunch too. It was so nice as I really miss the kids coming over like the old days.

We’re still having nice weather in the 70’s. They are saying snow on Halloween day. I just want it it to be nice when we drive to Branson.

Dianne, yes, Ross really liked Pinkberry frozen yogurt. I think it’s as good as any of them. They are all pretty much the same, imo, but this one is close to my house.

Joshua and his fiancĂ© stopped by today and brought me a bottle of wine and a birthday card. I love it when he comes over, too, especially since he is my only grandkid! His fiancĂ©’s parents have moved to Washington and they are thinking of moving to Seattle after they get married next November. I will really miss seeing him.

Mary Did you spend your big winnings of $6 yet? LOL Well, you won more than me because I didn't play. I guess that means I saved a dollar.

How did the Halloween party go? I hope there was no obnoxious drunk people. What was the cleverest costume? Some people get so creative. It's fun to see what people come up with.

I forgot to answer your question about the virtual waiting room to get Hamilton tickets. You know how you go online to get tickets to a show by going to the website of the venue, choosing the show, choosing the date, and picking out the seats you want? Well, because this play is in such high demand they made a virtual waiting room for when sales became available tot he general public. Prior to that, tickets could only be bought by season ticket holders. Anyway, I knew they were going on sale to the public that day at 10:00 so I got on the website about 5 minutes beforehand. There was a special screen telling me I was in the virtual waiting room and that everyone there prior to 10:00 would be assigned a place in line randomly. People who came in after 10 would get numbers after that. Anyway, at 10 a message on the screen told me the number I was assigned and there was a number showing me how many were ahead of me which kept going down as time passed and people made there selections. Until we got down to the nitty gritty, it did tell me it would take "more than an hour" so I was able to walk away from the computer until 5 hours later when it was getting closer. I was also told that i could not buy more than 4 tickets and that once in, I'd have 12 minutes to complete my transaction. I was also reminded not to the leave the waiting room or I'd lose my place in line. Once my number was finally reached, that was a kind of heralding music like something special was happening. LOL I was now able to see the performance dates and times and search for availability. Usually, the theater diagram would show available seats in the different sections but not for this. This confused me for a minute as the diagram showed no seats and I first thought that performance was sold out but I was wrong. Whatever section you picked and how many tickets for a particular performance, they would assign the best seats available. I knew I wanted to go in May so I didn't waste time going back and forth looking at different dates. Heaven forbid i'd get timed out and lose my place after waiting 5 1/2 hours. I was able to get center orchestra seats at a reasonable price so I jumped at them. It's a nice birthday present to myself. Was that explanation long enough? LOL

Barb HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR BARB. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

I hope you have a great day today. Will the boys take you out for dinner or will Chad cook something special for you?

I've still never watched DWTS Juniors. Those juniors are a little too precious for my liking.

I also remember Ross talking about Pinkberry. He was very excited about it but he gets excited easily. LOL

My dog was greatly tested today and she passed. We were out on the deck this morning and I had just put out the birdseed for the birds and the peanuts for the squirrels (big birds take those, too). Anyway, we are still there when a squirrel came up and went over to the peanut dish to grab a peanut. The dog saw it and I told her "Stay" and she did! I was so proud of her. I know she wanted to chase that guy soooooo bad.

Dianne That's really nice that Emilee and her boyfriend came over to give you a hand. Hopefully, you'll see more of Kayla now that her boyfriend has shown his face.

my leg isn't really hurting anymore but is still has discoloration and that leg swells more than the other which is really a circulation problem which would be helped with weight loss, I'm sure. The technician who did the CT Scan on it told me there was a good deal of deep tissue trauma. I think I did a number on the veins in that leg. It is what it is and it isn't stopping me from doing anything.

The Melissa McCarthy movie is "Can You Ever Forgive me?". They really should have found a better title as this one is hard to remember.

You must be getting excited about your upcoming Branson trip. I've been trying to get out and walk more so I can keep up with my daughter if we go on that cruise in Feb. that we put deposits down on. Stamina wise, I really backtracked with this leg thing and needing to keep it elevated whenever I had down time. I need to build up my endurance again. I did take the dog for a nice walk yesterday and did so a couple days prior to that, also. When I go to the local shopping center for lunch at the coffee shop and grocery shopping, I try to park so that it requires me to walk back and forth across the parking lot.

Just a quick fly-by. I’m in bed. It takes a couple of days to recoup from my gigs lol!

Justlin, I had a couple of drunks, I think I handled them pretty good. I know everyone there, so I have to be careful how I do it. Yup, I have blown my big lottery win lol!

Dianne, There we’re done pretty wacky costumes last night. My favorite was a tall guy dressed as a giant red crab. He dropped to the floor and crawled all over the place! Lol!

Sacbarb, Happy Birthday! I hope you got my card. I sent it real early to be sure you would get it on time.

I’m on my phone, so not sure this will post right.

Oh Lort! I need to get on my PC and re read the posts. I am getting all mixed up between who has a hurt leg, who’s dog was good, why was someone in a virtual room and someone is going on a trip somewhere on a cruise and Brandon something or other! I’ll be back when I get some rest! LOL!
