Mary Happy Birthday! I hope you've had an extra nice day and that you took it easy for a change.

How are you keeping warm? My temps aren't near as low as yours and I swear I feel cold all the time. Especially my legs. Right now I'm in nightgown and robe with old fashioned sweat pants on underneath. The kind of sweat pants with elastic around the ankle so no cold air gets in.

I'm so glad your sweet Zoie is back to her old self after her procedure. I sure miss my Ursula. I'm going to be pet sitting the neighbor's gecko again in a couple of days through NYE. Somehow it's not the same to talk to a gecko as it is to talk to a dog. Ursula always acted like she knew what I was talking about. I guess she was just being polite. LOL

Dianne Congrats to Em on her college graduation. You must be very proud of her. What line of work is she interested in pursuing? My granddaughter is hoping to become a veterinarian and is working for one and taking the required courses on line. So far, my grandson doesn't seem interested continuing with school. At least he's gainfully employed. School isn't for everyone.

Did I tell you that my daughter has bought a house in Eugene? I can't remember. Anyway, she's been painting it, renovating the whole kitchen, etc. She was up until 2 a.m. last night painting and today she tested positive for COVID. The movers are arriving in the morning. Yikes! So far, she isn't sounding too bad but she's supposed to drive down here on Thursday to spend a few days here over Christmas. That may not be able to happen now. Darn it! Mostly though, I don't want her to try to make that long drive if she's not up to it, even if she tests negative by then. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I also found out today that my friend Jane has come down with COVID. She sounds pretty bad. I went and picked up her Rx for her and delivered it but made sure I was standing back at least 6 feet when she answered the door.

I also got my fudge and cookies packed up and mailed off to my brother and to my son. Glad to have that chore done with so I can relax. Of course I kept some here for my daughter and I, too. I'll keep them in the freezer until it gets closer to Christmas.

Barb I miss seeing you here on the blog. Our branches feel empty. LOL

Speaking of branches, I always had lots of cats and still got really big trees every year. Yes, they would climb up the trunk sometimes, especially young cats. The older ones mostly liked to lie under it. I only had unbreakable ornaments on the lower branches.

Hi…I’m here. Mary, how’s Jim doing tonight? Did he finally put on hospital gown? What does he have wrong? Hope he gets better soon and hope you don’t get sick.

JL, I hope your daughter will be able to go there for.Christmas. It seems like so many r sick right now. We r really trying to avoid anything. Yes, I’m extremely proud of Em. Her party yesterday turned out great with a large turnout. When they play that music at graduation and I see her walking….I got very choked up. It’s been a hard four years with Covid too. She plans on going into children’s therapy. I hope she gets a job right away. She’d like to get an intern job start. . We all went to graduation and the small family party afterwards. I did a shot with all of them . Kayla and Em were so surprised I dad one. I may. Be the alcohol police but I can losen up sometimes.

Barb, can us come back on nest? We went to a family gathering today and just got home. I love family parties. We’re going to Tammy’s for Christmas and then Todd’s on the 27th. I hope all the boys will be there but I have a feeling they won’t be. If not, only a mailed gift card next year. If they can’t make time for me then heck neither can I. We drew names with Tammy and group. And my niece and family. I haven done too well with the new guidelines. I have lots of presents. It makes me sad. Oh well…..

I heard a nice text from seaside today. She’s been sick with Covid. Thenooo her grandson inherritaed it too. That’s about it for the night …..Thursday the high will be -5. Brrrr
