The other day when BonO wrote the blog about Christmas music. It inspired me to find the video clip of this video that I had seen a couple of years ago.
This song is one of my Favorites that I shared with one of my Favorite Dialysis patients (I used to be a dialysis tech) This lady was very special to me, and I to her. Our birthdays are 6 days apart, mine is the 20th and hers is the 14th of December. People who have birthdays close to Christmas kinda stick together I miss her very much.
We used to play this song at least 3 times while she had her treatment and we would just sing along and have the best time. I still over play this song every year, I love it, as it makes me think of Miss Etta. God rest her soul.
She and I held hands during the 911 ceremonies on TV and wiped away each others tears, she by far was so very special.
That is why I still think of her every time I hear this song.
So for Miss Etta, please play this video a couple times... At least!!!!!

I love reading everyone's comments. My back isn't as good as yesterday. I think I overdid it so I will just do a check in. We have ten cm. of snow today. It's Tia's second time to see snow. Her first year it snowed and I couldn't get her to walk in it. Now she is racing around as happy as can be. Tango doesn't like it now. I guess when you get older it's not so appealing. The snow looks great but we aren't used to driving in it so a lot of plans will be changed today.
I think that is as long as I can sit here. Have a great day everybody. I love you all.

Carol I'm glad you like my snowmen. I have a small collection of them but they are in the closet with the tree and the rest of the decorations. This snowman was perfect for today cause he looks how I feel and the sun is shining.

Good Morning Hooters (I mean Owls): It is showing a booming 0 degrees on my computer here in Denver today, about 2" on snow but the sun is out right now anyway. Good thing our football game is away this week.
JODI: From Area 51: We are playing the Carolina Panthers and it is on at 2:15 Denver time. It is on CBS. I hope you get it this week...I put in a word to all the TV stations and the Broncos management that they had a new fan in WESconsin!
MEK: I like th breakfast burritos at McD's. I am never up early enough or want to go out in the AM but BONO..be sure you read Area 51 regarding the ones at Sonic. Our temp has gone up to 1 degrees now. Glad I am staying home in my comfy clothes.
I have kind of funny story to tell all of you. I have those candles that you can float on the counter. I just found them in a Xmas bag. MR D was in the kitchen last night and asked me "are these cookies available". I had no idea what he was talking about until I went over there to look. The scents on the candles are sugar cookie, vanilla, etc. Good thing I was home or he would have been taking a big bite! lol

Hey gang! It is colder than a witches wahoo here today! Even the dogs don't want to go out.
Well I put up a tree. I got a 6 foot fiber optic and it looks pretty good without ornaments so I am thinking maybe none this year. We will see.
I have vacuumed up enough dog hair to make shirts for a third world country and I am not done yet! Geeez!
I swear I just want to throw in the towel mix a drink and make out some more cards.

I just got back from ushering an early performance of Cinderella. They rotate this with Christmas Carol every other year and it is very funny. The step-sisters are played by guys in drag and there is a lot of subtle adult humor that hopefully goes over the kids heads.
I am waiting for my son to come over. I am taking him out to dinner for his birthday, which is today. When the hell did my kids get so old when I am just a spring chicken (or Owl).
IBB, I couldn't see the video, but I could hear the song. I love this version, too. You are lucky to have been able to share such a connection with Miss Etta and she was lucky to have you too.

Dianne - I just read the last comment and saw you asked about my tree (I will read the other comments tomorrow). I got some of it decorated today.
My family did not make it here because of the snow. We had 5 inches but then we had ice falling and the roads were not good. Police advised people to drive only if they had to. We are not used to snow here and the side roads don't get plowed or sanded. There were a few accidents and no planes are flying today.
My friend who flew in to take us to lunch yesterday (the lunch I missed) will have a hard time flying out tomorrow. When snow happens here it's a big thing. It makes people who are used to this kind of weather laugh at us. It's no laughing matter however when you are on the road and you have no traction. I have been in that situation and don't want to experience it again.

MR. EBJ was astonished to find out that Crystal was an Olympic athlete, and was even more shocked to find out she was a runner!
I'm sure her tribe mates will be surprised too. Remember the first episode when they had to run up that hill, someone had to practically drag her up.
It doesn't start for another hour, and I'm all ready! haha Got home from work late, sweet MR. EBJ had dinner ready so ate then got a shower, brushed Paula and now waiting til 8:00.

TINK: Sorry your family wasn't able to make it over today but I agree with staying home with bad roads. It's just not worth taking a chance. It is now a balmy -15 here in Denver at 11PM...brr. I haven't stuck my arm outside all day
What did you all think about Survivor? I can't believe Susie got so many votes. I was hoping for a different winner for the $100,000. I think this show got better the second half of the series. I barely could remember some of those original people that started on the show. It looks like some repeats have started already this week on some of the shows like DHW. Oh well, one less recorded show for me to find time to watch.

IBB~ What a fun video! I am glad it brings you happy memories of Miss Etta. My Mom spent a lot of days in the dialysis room before she died. I sure hope there were people there that made her as happy as you did Etta. Bless you for being there for her.
