I grew up listening to Latin music. I didn’t understand the words but loved most of it. We listened to a lot of Mariachi music. I even had Mariachi’s at my wedding reception. Happy Birthday was always sung in Spanish. My mom still calls me on my birthday to play Las Mañanitas over the phone. Now, when I hear contemporary music, some of it really speaks to me and that’s what this song did. I absolutely love it. It’s about a love that is lost but the memory lingers. He can’t decide whether the memories are good or bad. I love the music and the mix of their voices. I hope you enjoy it, too.

I have one more load to do and then we are off to a hotel!
We are going to Downer Grove to stay at a fun hotel with a big swimming pool.
We do this every year after Christmas with the kids. It is very relaxing and great down time after the stress of the holidays.

Tina, I agree--music just speaks to you even if you can't understand the words! When we lived in Korea, I loved the songs on the radio and would even sing along--not understanding a thing, of course! Ricky Martin is very talented--thanks for sharing!

LynnD, yes just my face is tan. Very strange. Today I look a little less tan and just more healthy. That's a good thing! The bad part is my hair is falling out by the handful. I think that's more from the weight loss, though.

Thank you TINA for such a beautiful song. I love Rickey's voice and I also loved hearing the female singer with him. (also loved her smile) I at times listen to a Spanish speaking station. It feels so much to me like the music is coming directly from the heart. I remember as a young girl wishing a mariachi band would play outside my window. I also love Peruvian music.

I didn't know they did infusion like that, like I mentioned I have given iron supplement to people as an intramuscular injection. Didn't know it could be given in an IV.

Lani, I'm glad your kitty came home. Paula got out the front door one night last week, MR. EBJ nearly had a stroke worrying about her. She must have hidden when he first looked out front, then went back a few minutes later and she was standing there waiting to come in.
That is the first time in her nearly 17 years that she got out, she has always been an inside kitty. So we were worried since she is not "street smart".
Luckily she was only gone a short time.
MEK it's about 45 here today, it's warming up! The sun is out so it is deceiving.
Tina I would go to Costco today too if I were you! The one near us is way too crowded on weekends.
We usually order from there on line, as they have free shipping for most stuff.
Lani, you and JL should plan a drive over here to the boonies so you can meet Poe (& me too!).

I've been to the grossry store, the bank, and gas station, now on my last load of laundry!
Oh! My gas station today is reg. unleaded for $1.77 a gal. It is up from $1.65 last week.

Hello Everyone....TINA AND JODI, I am so glad to see/hear you both have on your Bronco shirts (I already know that MEK and MRZ have theirs on too). JODI, the game is on at 6:15 Mtn time tonight. It was supposed to be on at 2:15 but when we lost (again) last week...the SanDiego/Broncos game turned into a huge thing so they moved it to national TV. The team that wins goes to the playoffs...so here is a big favor OWLS....YEA...BRONCOS...and you all can watch it tonight...aren't you lucky? :)

I found the lyrics in english online. This song is def a heartbreaker, as it seems its about a love that as been lost yet the memory is so strong and with this memory, the question arises. Is the memory a good one to have or does it just do one harm to keep the memory alive?
Such a valid question, and just a toss up. As I would want the memories of a true love, however my heart would probably break with each thought/memory..

Carol, my ex and I have been divorced for 36 years so it is "water under the bridge". I do like his wife (she calls herself my ex-wife) and she has been very good to my kids over all these years. It wasn't always easy when the kids were young and we were all so set in our young ways...but time moves on....

Its 65 here today... and the sun did not shine all day, it was cloudy but warm...
I was going to wear my flip flops, but I did not want to get carried away..
And BTW, I threw the socks out that I bought at the bowling ally last nite, there was just something about wearing them again (even after washing them) after I wore them with the bowling shoes..
Just the thought kinda grossed me out..

Carol, You should have gotten carried away. I almost wore my shorts yesterday but it was too windy. It was so warm though! Today, not so much.
I had the best thing happen today. I was at Costco with my daughter and her boyfriend. I found some Gloria Vanderbilt jeans. I always loved those and they had a size 16. I bought it and was wearing my sweats so I decided to change in the store before we left because we were going several other places. Well, I came out and showed my daughter and she said they were too BIG!! So, she went back and got me a size 14 and I exchanged them and the size 14 FITS!! OMG< > I was in heaven! ..still am.
Then, we were talking in the car on the way to Walmart and I was saying that I kind of liked being bigger because it is easier to be "invisible" to the opposite sex. So, we were at Walmart and I was getting cucumbers and this man comes up and asks me if the jalapena's were $1.68 a lb because that couldn't be the price each. So he kind of scoots in close (his cologne smelled nice) and I told him I would ask my daughter because she used to cashier. Well, my daughter and her boyfriend said the guy was HITTING ON ME!! LOL...gawd. I didn't have a clue. So my daughter says I should wear my wedding ring. haha.
That was my fun day of size 14 and being hit on in the produce department at Walmart (if that is really what was happening!).

BARB, I am sorry you left church early to hear the game!! I hope I don't get punished for that some day. I guess I will put my Bronco items away for a "maybe next year" season.
