It's that Time

My Christmas Shopping and wrapping of the presents are done! I feel so relieved. Each year I say the same thing "I am not going to get done" but yet I do. I am usually done by the week of Christmas and this year was no different I finished yesterday.

I take such great care to try and pick out the perfect gift for that special someone on my list. I usually succeed, but there have been times, when the person opens the gift and they look at me kinda strange and in that moment I know "not the perfect gift". But its all good because that is what gift receipts are for and the good ole exchange.

I was not to much in the holiday spirit this year, and still don't feel I am. But I pushed myself, as we all do, because we know we have to. This past year has caught me totally off guard and I feel I am running, running with no direction.

These next two days will be busy ones, which I am glad for, as when one is preoccupied, your mood kinda shifts, and I am looking for that mood change. And I guess I have to make it change, cause that Jolly ole fellow in the red suit is on his way.

HO, HO, HO

Just checking in. Yep feel like I am running and running with no direction too. :(

Will try to check in in the next few days. Have a doc appt. this morning and I need to finish xmas crap on my list.

I want to thank everyone who sent a Christmas card. They are a bright spot in this dark world I have been living in. So thank you very much!

EBJ! Wow, so beautiful!! :)

Carol: Mee too about running in the dark.

LynnD: I am sorry to hear you are in a dark world now. Mine is getting lighter and lighter. :) But those dark spots will never be gone entirely, I guess they are there to remind us how much we should appreciate the light! :) Both sides of the coin have value, although its hard to see the value when you are in the dark.

Have a beautiful day everyone. My daughter got her wisdom teeth out today so I had to take her and get her home safely in bed with pain meds and mashed potatoes.

Wisdom teeth gave her knowledge on what it's like to "go under" and be in pain. I am sure she wil not forget..lol.

xo xo ..love you all. Have a great day..and happy Ho Ho Ho - li - daze.

Well I thought I was all done with my shopping and the kids did the wrapping for me and then when I looked I realized I was short gifts for two of my grandsons and did not have a clue what to get them. Soooooo, off my youngest GD I went last night at 11:30 to Walmart to scout around and my son gave me some ideas. Now I probably have too many presents for those two boys and ended up picking up a few other things and spending too darn much (and I was really being good about cutting back this year)!!!! Oh well---it's to a good cause my adorable grandkids. My two GD's couldn't think of much for a list this year but I came up with things. Boy, they sure thought of more when we were shopping earlier yesterday and I am kind of a sucker!!

I have been feeling much better the last few days (actually last sick day was Monday). Got results from tummy biopsy yesterday and all looks good so that is a relief.

I know it has been a hard year for so many owls this year but I am wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and even more HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR TO ALL.

Good morning, Hooters. The Holiday Rush is almost over and we can breathe a big sigh... for a few hours, because we all know what the 26th is, yes? More shopping!

Diane, you made me think; We ask people, "What do you want?". If they reply, "Nothing, thanks", we don't take that at face value. We assume that means, "I'm not telling and you have to figure it out". When people tell me, "Nothing, thanks", I give them exactly what they asked for.

Hi, Bebbi and Bon!

Dianne: I AM SO GLAD to hear that! Hope it keeps up through the next few days so you can enjoy Christmas!

Judy, you're looking fabulous! LOL!

Bon: Your response immediately reminded me of that great Frank n' Furter exchange with Magenta in RHPS:

Frank: Magenta, you will find that when the mood strikes me, I can be quite generous.

Magenta (seriously sarcastic tone): I ask for nothing. Master.

Frank (equally sarcastic) : And you shall receive it. IN ABUNDANCE!

CAROL - It is crunch time and I still have to wrap gifts, figure out what I have left to buy and just DO IT!!! This holiday season has been a whirlwind and I'm exhausted. The last couple of days have crazy busy at work....over $5,000 in sales on my register alone. All in a 4 hour shift!!! Sam and I went to my Dad's this afternoon to spiffy up his place for Saturday. Dad normally pays her to help him, but she said no thanks and Merry Christmas Grandpa <3

DIANNE - Thanks for the call....♥ u...mean it!!

WHABBY - Enjoy the time with your family!!

BEBBI - Happy HO HO HO to you, too!!

BONACHICHI - Ugh.....yes, I'm afraid that we will be out shopping again, but not til the 27th here. My kids decided not to give me many ideas, so they're getting some cash so they can shop til they drop!!

MOHO - Sorry about your crappy day. A Cary movie to make it all better perhaps?

I still have much to do, so I'm signing out for the night. I'm getting up at my regular work time and hitting Wallyworld one last time. This gives me time to get everything done (and a nap) before I head out for Christmas with my hubby's family!!

Whoops....my bad. 7 hour shift. Not 4!!!
