****** 23 ADULT TRUTHS ******

by Dianne

1 Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind-of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Light than Kay.

17. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front.

21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.
(wonder where this guy works)

22. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time.

23. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important!
Ladies quit laughing!!!!!

Morning Glories!

I agree with number four! LOL

Up early with a headache, going to suck down some coffee and see if that helps.

Waving at everyone.

LynnD Good morning!!! You sure do look pretty sitting up there in first place. Are you at the beach? Sorry about the headache. I hope it's better now.

We have beautiful blue skies today and a slight breeze.

Dianne Thanks for the blog today. A lot of truth there. I got a chuckle out of #19. I hate it when I have to keep asking someone to repeat something and I still can't tell what they said. I end up pretending that I do just because it's so darn embarrassing to continue to ask them to repeat themselves.

Dianne, I agree with all of these, some more than others, like the fine line between boredom and hunger. I have been having a hard time with that lately.

Lynn, Sorry you have a headache, but you are still the prettiest today. I hope the coffee helped. I agree that we need a sarcasm font, too.

J/L, Sometimes I think I should just get a hearing aid. I hate missing out on what may be juicy conversation! ;)

I think I'll stay home today and just veg. I've been a busy bee for over a week and I'm tired (or lazy). Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon Asters!

J/L I am back home. I still have my darn headache. Don't know if it is sinus pressure or just being back home. :)

Waving a wing at you and Sacbarb!

Just_Lin said...

SacBarb Fortunately, I can usually hear people okay but sometimes I don't understand them due to their accents. It's embarrassing because every time I have them repeat what they said it's like I'm saying, "You no talk English good". LOL

LynnD Maybe a glass of wine would help? :)

There are pink blossoms all over my plum tree and a robin was sitting on my deck railing today. I think spring is on the way.

Hi Guys!!

DI: I like the first one! I do it all the time..and usually more than 3 times! :D

LYNN: You look gorgeous today. I hope your headache goes away soon!

J/LIN: With my gongy head..I'm lucky if I understand anything at all..ever! ;)

I know this won't be a popular statement..but I'm so not ready for Spring!

BARB: The boredom and hunger thing gets me too..all the time. I usually give in to hunger..and then I get caught in the vicious salty/sweet cycle..

Thanks everyone for the comments on the song yesterday..jazzy it!

Busy day tomorrow..wish it was busy in a fun way! :D

Have a good evening everyone! :)

Zona Yes! I get caught in the boredom/hunger thing late at night and if I have somethng sweet, then I want something salty. What's with that? Maybe that's why I liked Payday candy bars so much as a youth.

Hi...thanks for the comments today.

It's been a busy day today. We had. Memorial service to attend tonight. It was sad as the woman was only 52 years old. It was one of my best friends sister. It was hard for Louis as his mom is just barely hanging on to life right now. It's just been a sad day.

Lynn, pretty pretty. Hope your headache is gone tonight.

Just_Lin said...

Dianne I'm sorry to hear about Louis' mom. Hugs to you both.
