Wife's Temper

by Dianne

A man goes to the doctor, worried about his wife’s temper.

The doctor asks: “What’s the problem?

The man says: “Doctor, I don’t know what to do. Every day my wife seems to lose her temper for no reason. It scares me.”

The doctor says: -I have a cure for that. When it seems that your wife is getting angry, just take a glass of water and start swishing it in your mouth. Just swish and swish but don’t swallow it until she either leaves the room or calms down.

Two weeks later the man comes back to the doctor looking fresh and reborn.

The man says: “Doctor, that was a brilliant idea! Every time my wife started losing it, I swished with water. I swished and swished, and she calmed right down! How does a glass of water do that?”

The doctor says: “The water itself does nothing. It’s keeping your mouth shut that does the trick”.

Just_lin, I cracked up @ your "done over packing, lol!
I wish I was going somewhere warm!! We have had two beautiful snow free days. One or two more, and then the boom falls on Sunday. Our temps will be dropping and winds up to 60mph/with tree damage and possible power outages! Just_lin, take me with you!!!!

Dianne, Funny blog. Jim is the one who clams up here lol! We have not had too many harsh words between us in over 40 some years. We both hate confrontations. There were a couple of times that I should have "swished" the water lol!

Barb, what's happening? How is the menagerie doing? Please don't send us your wind!!

Dianne, Funny blog. There were a few times that swishing would have helped me, too, with my husband and my mother. After they were gone, I remembered a couple of conversations I regretted.

Mary, I think your biopsy was today. I pray everything turns out OK. Congratz to your son for losing all that weight. Is he on a program? Our wind seems to be staying here. The rain has slowed, but will start again next week. Booo!

J/L, you should be happily cruising now. Have a great time.

I will know my biopsy results next Tuesday. I was a bit stressed out today. Their team talked me through it , even held my hand a couple of times. I am such a baby lol! My boob is on ice and has forgiven me 😬😅

Mary, what did knee dr have to Say? Did you have to take anti-biopics today? I’d have been stressed today too. I’m actually a baby also. I not good at pain. I’m sure your results will be great. Still praying.

Barb, i could swish sometimes too. We don’t have many arguments and if we do it’s akways about the same things..crazy. Swish swish!

It’s snowing hard here tonight. Originally for adt wascfor 1-3” but now changed to 2-6. I have movie tickets for barb and I tomorrow to see green book..I hope the roads will be ok. Louis said icy tonight. We had sonic for dinner. Too cold and bad to go out.

JL, I’ll bet you are eating great food tonight and having so much fun. Enjoy.

My Dr called to tell me didn't have to drive into Lansing if I didn't want to. He could give me the test results by phone. My biopsy came back negative!! What a relief! Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts sent my way!! My boobs thank you too :)

Dianne,My Knee Dr took ex-rays from different angles. He said all looks good. My pain is still from the surgery and all the scar tissue they had to scrape out. I just need to work on getting my knee to stretch out straight when I lift it. I forget the name of the muscle above my knee, but that is the main muscle I have to work on. I can go back to my Motrin tomorrow!

We had a horrible wind storm last night! Luckily we never lost our power! Our huge white pine lost a few branches, but not much other damage.

Oh Mary, I’m so happy to hear your results. I was praying for you so hard. What a huge relief and you can breathe a sigh of relief. We all can. So you just need to stretch that knee. I still have to do that with my knee. My first knee replacement the dr didn’t replace my kneecap and it’s given me issues over the years. Dumb that it wasn’t replaced. We are having nice weather this week so maybe I can send you that for a change this time.

JL.... cruising around and having a great time....sigh.

Barb..What’s up your way? Went to see Green Book and loved it. Did you watch the Academy Awards last night? I enjoyed them this year and thought it worked out fine without a host. I now have to go see Bohemian rhapsody this weekend. I really wasn’t planning on seeing it but I think I might like the story. I sure liked Lady Ga Ga and Bradley Cooper singing. I liked adam lambert and Queen too. I recorded the first hour so I was able to fast forward through the cartoon shows.

Tammy got released this week to start bowling again. She’s still in pt for her leg but so much better.

Hello. ..I hear an echo

Well, we got at least 4-5 more inches of Dianne's snow! Somehow she doesn't blow hard enough for the warm air to hit us :(

Dianne, Maybe when they did your surgery, your meniscus wasn't torn and worn out like mine and didn't think it necessary to replace. Who knows. I am glad mine is over. I am going to my grave with it lol!

JL, I have thought a lot about you these last few snowy days lol! Dam I wish I was with you! I see they are having a "Golden Girls" cruise next year. That would be about my speed lol!

Barb, My son isn't doing anything different except eating less. I notice he doesn't go back for seconds like he used to.

I am a little stressed out. My two step sons are driving here from Montana. They came last year at the same time and ran into all kinds of blizzards! That, and I really am not up to all the work involved like extra cooking & cleaning. We have a small house and only one spare room which is where Zoie and I have been sleeping. We will be back with Jim for a while lol! My Grandson will be flying in from Florida to meet with us, so there's that! They are all great kids/men, I'm sure all will turn out fine. At least this time they won't be visiting their Dad in the hospital. This is the 1st anniversary of his stroke. He is back to smoking full time :(.

Later......

Oh Mary...I’m bearer of bad news. 4-8” more coming here this weekend. Every weekend it snows! I’m really over it. I can deal with the cold but not the snow that traps me in the house. I’m hoping to go to movie Saturday. I did go to grocery store this afternoon to beat tomorrow’s snow crowd. Wow, it sounds like you’re going to have a full house. Is it this weekend they are all coming? How old is your grandson? Will, anyone help you with cooking? Hmm, even giving up your bedroom. Now that’s the tough part! Back to the snoring. Im really sorry Jim is smoking full time again. He must not remember how bad he was a year Ago!

Barb.....come out and see us.

I had to go to dentist today and it was all good. I don’t have to go back for six months. I went to my bladder dr yesterday to get this intrastem taken out of my butt cheek! It doesn’t help my bladder so no need to keep it. I should be getting a date tomorrow but already did my preop.
I have to be put out for it and then a few days recovery. It’s out patient though. I can’t get any mri with in in me and they need to for my back. So.....I just hope Ins approves it. My dentist was telling me today that her mom is getting hip replacement and they don’t want to keep her overnight. I think thats just crazy.

Ok...signing off. Night

Here I am. Not much has been happening here.

Mary, I’m so happy your biopsy was negative. It was very nice of your doctor to give you the results on the phone so you didn’t have to drive in that awfull weather. I’m so sorry that Jim is back to smoking. Does he go outside to smoke? My husband started going outside to smoke after my grandson was born because my DIL told him she wouldn’t bring him over if the house was smoky. And Chad and Arch go outside to smoke. I think they smoke a little less if it’s not so convenient for them. Not that it really helps their health.

Dianne, I did watch the Academy Awards and I thought it went well without a host. I also loved the Gaga/cooper duet. I loved the movie, too. I saw Bohemian Rhapsody and I loved that movie, too. I was surprised one of them didn’t win. I didn’t see Green Book.

J/L, thinking of you cruising in the sunshine.

Wow, we had an almost above freezing day with no precip!! Unfortunately, it's going to be downhill from there!

Diane, you need to blow that shit east or west!!
My Grandson is from Jim's oldest son. I believe he is about 26. He finished his military stint and is going to school in Florida on their dime. He completed college @ Montana after high school. He is a smarty. After seeing us and his dad and Uncles he is flying to Chicago to visit his girlfriend who is going to college there.
I will be doing all the cooking. They are all men lol! I am sure Jim will take them out to eat a couple of times. I'm not sure how long they will be here.
They will be visiting other relatives, some in Ohio. They will be in & out which makes for a confusing meal planning on my part.

SacBarb, Jim has been going outside for the most part. It has been terribly cold. Sometimes he sits with the patio door open and smokes in the kitchen.
I chewed him out yesterday when I saw him smoke in the living room. I don't want him stinking up the house again! He thinks when he opens the window or door, the smoke goes out..wrong. The wind blows it back in. I am turning into a biotch lol!!

Just_lin, missing you, but know you are having a ball!!!
