i have always wondered what it would
be like to be a comedian, it looks so freeing
as you can do anything, all the things that
we say we cannot do, due to embarrassment
comedians seem to do and more!
they are so concentrated on the task at hand
that their faces are symboled into exactly what
they are doing, i know i could not hold by expression
that long, i would crack up as soon as someone said
"action", so a comedian i could not be
the other night this clip struck my funny bone
my laughter exploded
i have watched it several times
since then and each time laugh more
it is a good video for a relaxing Sunday
as we all need to smile
and of course a good "crack up"

Amicus - I love your 2008-2009 Broadway season. I wish I could be there. My favourite was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I saw it with Donnie Osmond. He was great in it.
My two dogs are not a bit afraid of thunder as long as they are with me. My last dog before these two was a Golden Retriever. She would run and hide in the bathtub. I would get her out and take her into my bed but she would tremble until it ended. I also had a Lab and storms had no effect on her.
Whabbear - I love spending Sunday afternoon watching movies especially if it is raining. One of my favourites is "The Ghost and Mrs Muir" and another is "Wuthering Heights". "Jane Eyre and "To Kill a Mockingbird" are two others. I love black and white movies on a stormy day. It adds to the atmosphere.
SacBarb - I hope you are feeling better now.

IBB: I NEVER put my purse on the floor. I am obsessive about it. In restaurants I put it on my knee. And I also don't put my flatware directly on the table. I always ask for extra napkins. I've seen people wipe off seats where poopy kids sat and use the same rag to wipe off the table. I think I've mentioned this before. And I always use those wipes on the gross-ry carts too.

HI ITEACH!! I made dinner and then didn't eat it, I feel so guilty.

ITEACH: Chicken strips and a salad...it just wasn't as appetizing in person as it was in my imagination...I think that happens to me a lot. ;)

I was lucky tonight, my mom cooked for me. She is a great cook.

What did Mr. Tina make on the bbq?
iteach~ just hamburgers....with asparagus, onions, mushrooms, peppers, and zucchini on the grill with some corn on the cob~ Just the fact that he made it was nice~
My mom made-
chicken that was marinated with something and then grilled it
fresh green beans with some type of oil on them
cut up potatoes with some type of spice stuff coated all over them
some type of creamy pasta that was really delicious
Finally something with bananas and cool whip
TINA: I love it when my hubby does that too...I also like when he bbq's..
Can you tell I don't know much about cooking only eating?

SacBarb - I am glad you are feeling better. I find a sleep can often help.
You already knew not to put your purse on the floor. I really learned something today about purses. I am so fastidious about cleanliness and yet somehow I missed the purse thing. My dogs feet and legs are washed after every walk. I never touch door handles with my bare hands. I use the disinfectant wipes after pushing the store's buggy. I am always washing my hands. I always hang up my purse in the rest room. I wash all clothes etc when I come home from the lodge and yet I have never thought of disinfecting my purse after it has sat on the floor of a restaurant or on the ground. I really feel I learned something today. I will never forget again.
VIG - Are you still out playing in the sunshine? What a beautiful day we had here. It's the best one yet with more to come I hope.

Zona, I watched Matthew McConaughey in "Wedding Planner" today as I had my rest. He is so gorgeous. No wonder he was named sexiest man in the World. I wish I could have found someone like him to be my gardener. I would pay him double just to look at him.

A special hello to Iteach. You weren't on the page when I was typing. It's getting close to the end of the year. Are you excited or getting too stressed to be excited? This year went fast. It seems like yesterday we were talking about how excited you were to be going back to school to see your new class. It sounds so trite but time is marching by.
I just scrolled back and saw such lovely meals. It made my dinner look like food rationing. Maybe I should get International students again. At least that forced me to make really nice meals. I can't be bothered when I am alone to make anything fancy.
TINKA: I'd come visit and pay half of your double!!
Tinka- The end of the year is very hard for me. Transitions have always been hard for me!
It takes me about two weeks after school ends to finally start to relax.
Tuesday we have a field trip to the museum in a town that is about one hour away. Then on Wednesday they will come to pick up report cards.
I still can't believe it is the end!
I just yawned for the third time. That means it is time for me to count sheep.

Tinka: If you haven't seen it yet, you should buy or rent the DVD, Andrew Lloyd Webber: The Royal Albert Hall Celebration. Donny Osmond performs a couple of the Joseph songs. It's one of my favorite DVD's, with the exception of Antonio Banderas doing the Phantom songs. I loved his accent in the movie version of Evita though. :)
I'm off to watch Hairspray.

Finally home from a very long and tiring day...
The BBQ was wonderful...
They had a flag burning ceremony(What you do when you retire a Flag) nothing dis-repectful... I learned a lot today... I thought when you burnt a flag you juast burnt it,...
You have cut the stars out and then cut the stripes and you lay it on hot coals never in a flame!!! It was amazing and I had to keep my sunglasses on!!!
Work was not so busy till the sun went down and then it busted lose...
So i am whipped .. and I just wanted to touch base....I thanked all the service men there for "What They Do!!!"

The restless leg stuff makes it hard for me to pratice my PIPS routine.
Try the hot bath/shower before bed to relax your muscles.
Sleep If you're trying to do the Pips routine while in bed.....well, therein lies the problem. LOL
I just did a little search on quinine,,very interesting.
Would love to see the look on Tasia's face as you practice that routine in bed!!!!

Hi Everyone!
I went to my sister's house to hang with my nephews and their friends.
My one nephew decided to have a small BBQ with beer, well there was much more beer than BBQ. But everyone had fun.
They bought a slip and slide, filled it up with water, drank lots of beer and one after another went slip and sliding! So funny
watching these young men, slip and slide! As as they slid and slided water balloons were thrown, and yes I got wet, from the water balloons tho. No slipping and sliding for me!
When I left there were still lots of beer, and no one has to drive home. They are all staying over, Which of course is a good thing!

Did anyone happen to catch 'our' Gladys Knight on the National Memorial Day Concert hosted by Gary Sinise on PBS tonight?. What an incredible program. 'Concert' was a misnomer, as it was almost a documentary. Gladys sang 'If I Could' and 'A Prayer for Peace'. She looks and sounds amazingly the same!
I've always respected Charles Durning's movie career, but had no idea the extent of his military service until tonight. WWII Silver Star, 3 Purple Hearts,landing on D-Day in the Normandy Invasion, one of the first to land on Omaha Beach, taken prisoner during the Battle of the Bulge , etc.

There's no way to write a short post about what I watched my mother go through over the years with RLS. I'll only say I'm glad she was deeply religious and therefore could never end her own life.
