As I look back!
i am feeling quite nostalgic lately
looking back on my teens always
puts me a 70ish kind of mood
i wonder if i knew all the possibilities
that were ahead of me, i wonder if
i took life for granted, as being a teen
you are so much more into yourself
and your "so called" friends, nothing
around you matters
so as i was looking back, i found
this, and smiled ear to ear, as it made
me happy! it was so great to be a teen
in the 70's
i am so very glad i have the memories
and now looking back it seems like magic!

I'm sorry. It's been so long since I read this morning's comments I don't remember who was first today.
Carol I'm more a child of the 60's so I like everything from Paul Anka and Johnny Mathis to The Rolling Stones and the Doors. Prior to the Beatles coming on the scene, I was a big Elvis fan. I used to collect Elvis cards that you would get with bubble gum. Similar to baseball cards. Anyway, I used to basically swoon over them. The insides of my closet doors were covered with Elvis cards. Now, on the wall over my bed, hung a large poster of Johnny Mathis that must have been about 4 x 5 feet.
Mary/MI I'm so glad that Joe is out of surgery. Big sigh of relief.

Hey, owls! Here's a quick and dirty story from the 70's.
Some of you will remember that my sister has been having serious eye problems since last summer. As luck would have it, one of her high school friends is now head of optometry at Harvard. Her name is Joan, and she has been incredibly helpful to my sister, to the point where she and bro in law are heading to Boston next week for some American eye surgery!
But back in the 70's, I have this really clear memory of Joan and my sister repeatedly heading into separate bedrooms at my parents house (parents were out, natch) and making out with these two guys. Each time they would come out of the bedroom and report to my friend Rick and myself what they'd just done; Joan gave her first BJ, as I recall.
I would LOVE to remind her about that night now, in an e-mail thanking her for what she's done for sis. But I can't remember the guy's name she was with (the name of the one with my sister was Paul Cramp. Anybody out there know Paul, or any of his friends? LOL).
It's driving me crazy trying to remember it!
