This Night Owl Blog has given so much! It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"! We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly. And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :) It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!

Blue Eyes?
i met a old school buddy last nite
of my brothers, it was by pure
accident, i went out to dinner
with my cousins and there he
was to greet us,
to bring us to our table,
as soon as i saw him i knew
i turned to my cousin and explained
who he was, that he graduated with
my brother and went to the same
grammer school we went to at
dear old "St Francis Xavier"
when i asked he said "yes i know
your brother and i recognize you"
"how i asked, it has been so long"
"your eyes he said, so very blue"
my blue eyes, so many see them
so many comment on them, yet when
i see me, the blue eyes are, well, just
eyes, not blue at all, as it is me
i always say, others always see you
different then what you perceive
yourself to be, and i have my
blue eyes to prove it, i have discussed
this with lynn d, when she blogged about
disconnect, it was just the other day
and the best, the old school buddy
of my brothers, we discussed our
teachers, the nuns, he named so
many of them, what grades they taught
us in, and i then remembered!
bon's blog on teachers just the other
day, i could only remember two, and
now i know more, he had pictures
of some of the priests at our church,
we reminisced
he owns this restaurant, i had no idea
that he did, i had lost touch with him
since my brothers school years, it was
a last minute choice to dine there, it
was not planned
two blogs, two incidents, i truly
believe as lovey does, there are no
accidents, everything has a reason
and happens for a reason
this is life, as we know it!

gee this waking up at 5am every morning has been paying off.
sweet blog carol. how nice to have something happen that relates directly to what we all have been discussing here. you went in there hoping for a good meal, and ended up reclaiming a little bit of your life.
bravo sister friend!
the "not again" was for want2. she must be sleeping ;-)
wish i was sleeping. just can't seem to in the mornings anymore. i wake up for a couple hours and then want to just crash again. glynis has been having the same problem. are we.....GASP.....getting old????
**wondering if I should just keep going**

Morning Glories!
Hi Barb congrats on first. I have been awake for awhile but was reading and waking up. If I had known you were up and chatting I would have brought my coffee up and chatted away with you.
Interesting blog Carol. How fun to run into someone from your past. Even more fun when they remember who the heck you are! LOL
I always think how strange when blog topics come up in my life. It always gives me pause and a chuckle at time.
Makes me wonder what the universe is trying to get me to see.
Wakey wakey Owls where are you??
Wow Barb went back to bed.
Everybody else must have a really warm nest this morning! LOL
I will be back in a bit after I go drag the barking dog in and have some more coffee.
Good morning hooters!
Congrats Barb on #1-12!
Hi Lynn D & Carol!
Loved the blog this morning, how nice that you ran into someone from the past.
I don't live in my old home town, so haven't run into anyone in a long time. My best friend still lives near where we grew up, so she will occasionally run into someone we knew from high school.
It is really interesting that a couple recent blogs kind of tie into your experience last night.
I love our blog!
Have a great day!
Could it be that West Coast mornings are just too beautiful to miss, ladies???
BarbWa~~Congrats on being a HOOT!
Mornin' EBJ & LynnD! Those drugs working yet, Lynn?
15 comments. I thought I would have a long list of owls to say good morning to and then I discover the first 11 were Barbara playing all by her lonely little self in the nest.
Good Morning Barbara, you early, early little bird, Lynn, who finally joined her, BonO and East Bay J. Was Barbara crying when you finally arrived?
It is my little Tia's birthday today. She is two and supposed to be a teen ager now but she will always be a baby to me. I am taking her and her sister to Traci's baseball game this evening and treating her to a hamburger. She hasn't had human food since her last birthday. I will read the blog which is dedicated to my daughter Zona and I will be back.
Good morning barb x 12 (congrat #1),
Hi EBJ and bon bon
Hi Lynn and how are you today??
Busy here at work, no chance to chat yet! I'll be back....
Hi Tink!
TWENTY ONE!!!
23
24
25!
Good morning MEK!!
Happy Thursday!!
Good Morning, Barb in WA - congrats on first!!, second, third, etc... GOTTA LOVE..
I LOVE the "Stay in Bed you Lazy ASS DAY" - Think I will celebrate that!! :-)
Lynn D - how is your mouth today? Hope you are feeling better!!
EBJ - Good Morning - I love this blog also!!
Bono - howdy - yes, the mornings ARE too beautiful to miss - and the temps are cool....
Tinka - Good Morning - Happy Birthday, Tia
Goldie - don't you just hate when work prevents you from playing!!
:-)
Cpgem - great blog - just this week, I found a business card of an OLD friend in Colorado - called it - he had left that company -- but someone there was nice enough to tell me where he had gone - SO, I called - he recognized my voice immediately!! Found out he comes down here EVERY Christmas and had always wondered WHERE I was also - I was great to reconnect!!
I have some stuff the I have seriously been procrastinating about - SO - I need to get busy!!
I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
LMAO - Goldie - wow - I posted and thought - GEEZ - I'll have to say Good morning to more peeps!!
AND - it was YOU winning the first march of the day!!!
YOU GO GIRL!!! (busy working, my ass!!!!) LOL
Carol: Remember last week or so, we were commenting on how different our lives were, that you still live in the same neighborhood where you grew up, making events like you describe in your blog today possible, whereas I'm so far away from my roots?
Your blog SO reminded me of that, as nothing like what happened to you at the restaurant can happen to me. Even after 20 years here, virtually everyone I come into contact with on a a day-by-day basis is a stranger.
And yet, just two nights ago, I made a really weird connection across the internet with my childhood home town, Thornbury, Ontario, Canada (population 2000). I discovered a memorial web site to an appalling tragedy that befell the community in January of 06: Five (yep, count
'em, five) local teenage boys were killed in an auto accident while on their way to a hockey game. I went to school with one of their fathers.
Two nights ago, I discovered a virtual memorial site to the boys that is quite touching. It's a comment format like the owl's nest, but everyone's comment has a little virtual candle embedded in it, so each one is like a little physical note and candle left at the site of the crash.
It was AMAZING to read comment after comment from people whose names I recognize from my childhood, all now middle-aged adults like myself.
So I left a candle comment myself! I said:
"From across many, many miles, and many, many years, my sincere condolences to the families of this tragedy". It made me feel good to do that!
Meanwhile, back to the nest. Good morning, Barb (that was SO tedious... LOL!), Tinkatia, bon'O, Lynn D, Goldie, and Judy!
Good Morning OWLETTES!!!!
I like tinka thought ... wow so many in the nest...
BARBWA...Congrats on 1st....... 2nd...12th.....
Morning...
LynnD.. Hope the Mouth gets better real soon..I have always feared dry socket but thank God never had it,,,I am so sorry for you... Really hope it heals quickly!!!
Goldie--are the workmen done!!???
BonO...I live in a little town and hardly run into people from school.. but the other day I did.. and they looked sooo different..as I do... so we are probably next to each other alot just not knowing it... too funny!!!
EBJ..Morning..
MEK...is your project--- furniture coming...WHEN!!??
off to run errands...
have a great day all...
hi to those yet to land ..and those who landed while I was posting...
Hey Whabby!!!!
Hi IBB- the workman are AWOL. There are still 2 doors propped up in the hall that need to be done and they are not to be seen. Fine with me! I could use a break today.
My door has been replaced, so thats all I care about (selfish?)
Great blog today, it amazes me the contacts we can make years later with people who are from our "younger" days. I have run into people I haven't seen in years. And in places you would never expect.
We were in South Dakota and someone called my and my husbands names. WTF? Yup, they were on vacation there too from our small little hometown of about 8000in Southern WI.
MEK- I was really busy, I just happened to check in and see your 21 and couldn't help myself!
HI WHABBY- what a nice thing to leave that comment. Connection to the past does not have to be physical.
Top o' the mornin' to ya, IBB!
Good Morning Owls!
Carol: The song "Pretty Blue Eyes" is stuck in my head now. :)
Tinka: Give Tia a big birthday hug from me!
Whabbear: It touched my heart just reading your post about that beautiful website tribute to those teenagers.
Waving HI to BarbWA, Lynn, EBJ, BonO, Goldie, MEK, IBB!
Goldie: So true! Especially in the 21st century, when everything is so connected.
Selfish request: Owls, can you send supportive, healing thoughts to my sister today? She's in Boston for another set of eye surgeries to try and restore her sight in the affected eye and reduce the constant pain she's been in since the original problem last August.
On today's surgical agenda: Corneal transplant and cataract removal.
Thanks!
Comment # 35 and still very few in the nest. Everyone must be out sun-tanning.
Good Morning Whabbear - (How nice you left a candle too), Mek, Goldie and Ibebold.
Carol - I want to meet you and see those blue eyes. Thanks for the great blog today. Isn't is wonderful to see someone from our past? The years just disappear. I love school reunions for that reason. I am off to have breakfast and take pictures of my birthday puppy. I will be back later.
Amicus: I was really shocked when I heard about the accident... can you imagine, five teenagers from the same small community? The comments on the site are quite interesting, and really show the resiliency of the human spirit.
It's also very interesting, from my atheistic perspective, to see the almost unanimous assertion that the boys were "taken" for a reason, and are now waiting for the rest of their families to join them in heaven.
Life is certainly a mystery, that's for sure.
Good Morning Amicus - I will give Tia a hug from you. I know what an animal lover you are.
Whabbear - My thoughts and prayers are with your sister today. Sending all the positive energy I can muster.
Oh my the nest is finally awake!
Hi Bono, EBJ, Tink, Amicus, Goldie, MEK, Ibb, Whabbear! Of course anyone else I may miss this morning.
Mouth is pain manageable this morning. So I have only taken Ibuprofen. I go this afternoon to have it repacked.
I saw DonnaJeans post from area 51 and I think I dislodged the clot on Sunday when I used the stupid syringe to rinse out the area. It was later Sunday afternoon when the pain and swelling started.
Whabbear: I will definately keep your sister in my prayers and thoughts!!!
Tinka: Give your baby a doggy birthday cookie from me! LOL
Ok going to wash some clothes so I have something to wear out of the house later!
Have fun gang!
Whab- healing thoughts for your sister and some for you too. It is hard to watch our love ones go thru things like that too.
Tink- happy b-day to your baby! I bet she enjoys that hamburger today. We are guilty of allowing Pepper people food. But it is only 3 or 4 bites after supper. She is not allowed near the table or people eating. She waits until we get up and when we start to clean the dishes she sits by the end of the counter and waits for her 'treat'.
Thanks, Goldie, Lynn D, and Tinkatia!
We have finished our birthday breakfast. Thank you Amicus, Mek, Lynn and Goldie for the birthday wishes for Tia. I am sure she knows it's her birthday today as she keeps staring at me expecting more presents. I know there are some people right now saying "Tinka, get a life", but it makes me happy.
Goldie - I would love to give Tango and Tia people food as it makes them so happy but Bichons get fat easily. I have both my vet and my breeder watching what I do very carefully. When I was a child our dogs and cats ate what ever the rest of the family ate and they were never fat.
Happy Birthday to Tink's Tia! Woof!
Thanks for allowing me to be "tedious" this morning Whab! And I am sending healing thoughts your sister's way. When my brother died we were only allowed to donate his corneas. We actually got a letter from a woman who received them. At least I think she got both of them. Made me feel good to know that someone was so touched by our gift of sight that she wrote us a letter. We also felt that it was so moving to be able to give someone back their sight when are own grandparents were both blind and did not have this type of surgery because the doctors feared they would lose what small amount of sight they did have in their one eye. They both had one glass eye, and very very limited sight in the other. So I'm happy for your sister and hope that everything turns out great!
I know this is long.....get over it!
I went back to bed to watch a random cable movie. My choises were a movie about aging ballerinas, evil spawn of the devil, a gay disco band, or the queen of egypt. Although the gay disco band was tugging at me, I went with the aging ballerinas for 1/2 an hour and then fell asleep. Aaaaaaah nothing like aging ballerinas to induce sleep!
Zonababy
Isn't that so neat to be remembered after years go by for your beautiful blue eyes. They are to me dancing happy eyes. That's what I see when I look at your eyes. Eyes say a lot about a person.I always first look into their eyes which takes me into their soul and into their heart.
Good morning owls. It's beautiful weather here. Wild flowers are in full bloom and it's my favorite time of the year.
home for lunch
have to march
to get to...
50
50!
Tink- I understand that and we are careful with the treats too. Pepper is 75 pounds of solid muscle. The vet says the amount she gets is so small it is doing no harm. Now, if it was up to her she would eat a 3 course meal- but she settles for the 3 or 4 pieces of "bites" she gets!
Good morning Barb! Again. Glad you enjoyed your snooze,
I just saw the quote of the day! LOL
I did mean that the door needed adjusting, not my ass (well, maybe that too!)
apparently am here playing by myself again, just like barb this morning....
okey dokey- well then I am leaving. Off to the bank and back to work.
I am going to be out of town this weekend from noon on Friday until Sunday afternoon. I hope I don't go thru hooter withdrawal!
I could probably march my way to 75 but that might be overkill.
oh goldie.....MARCH AWAY! LOL!
Wow, Barb! That is fantastic!
I wonder who's cornea my sister is getting! I'll have to ask her later...
by the way goldie....i was not playing with myself this morning....it just looks that way.....
whab....that is the sad thing about corneal transplants. someone had to die to donate them. but what a gift to give someone. kidneys, heart, lungs, the gift of sight. i'm so glad that we have the technology to be able to save someones life when someone else lost theirs. i hope all owls are organ donors. if you are not, i'm sure you have your reasons and that is ok too.
Whabbear - I thought that the names were kept secret. Is this a new "right of information" policy they have now? I think it's a good one. I think a person who receives such a wonderful gift should be allowed to say
"thank you".
Goldie - I like your vet. I can't see how a little treat could ever hurt. After Tango became fat a few years ago and I had to put her on a diet to get her back to normal I became paranoid to cheat even a little. I have to admit Tango became fat from getting more than a little taste after dinner. I did spoil her. Now I know better.
#60 Time for Slim Fast and a nap. See all you owls this afternoon.
Mornin' HOoters!
Barbwa Congrats on #1 and the nice little opening march.
Carol Loved your blog today. Isn't it fun to run into someone from your past like that? It's a touchstone to your childhood.
Twenty years after moving away from my hometown, I was in a hospital waiting room and in walks a nurse. It was a friend from high school! I was so surprised to see her there.
As some of you know, Custard contacted me more than 40 years after we had last seen each other. He had dreamed about me 3 nights in a row and felt it was urgent to find me. We have so many common memories about places and people in our hometown. I have reminded him of things he had forgotten and vice versa. We didn't have time to do everything we wanted to do on our recent visit "home" so we are returning in a few weeks. We act like teenagers when we're together. I guess that's a good thing.
I was recently contacted by an ex-fiance that I hadn't seen since in 42 years! Once again, though, it was fun to reconnect and catch up on each other's lives.
Hello owls!!
barbara in wa, you certainly had fun this morning!
Tinkatia, happy birthday to Tia!!
LynnD , glad ibuprofen is taking care of the pain.
whabbear, I am praying for your sister as she goes through this surgery. Even if you don't believe in prayers, they are heard anyway.
Whabbear Sending love and healing thoughts to your sister.
j/l you have men coming out of the woodwork!
I'm a donor. If it still works when I am done with them, I hope my organs are transplanted.
I believe it still is pretty much a no tell policy unless both parties want to know. I certainly would love to meet the person who donated life to a loved one of mine.
ok barb, going to take you up on it....
marching....
on my way...
to..
that was for kgirl!
getting to...
left, right, left,
73

Good Afternoon all...
Whabby-- your Sister is in my prayers today....
Tinka-- Maggie and Gus wanted me give Tia some Scooby Snacks from them... Happy Birthday from my pups to yours...
And you haven't heard anything yet.. just listen... I spoon feed my dogs the leftovers...
I started it when I had 4 dogs...to make it fair.. and I just kept it up...
Carol..
I forgot to say earlier...
From the one picture you have of yourself on MS... you have the most beautiful blues I have ever seen.. I can believe anybody who has seen them in person would NEVER forget them!!!!
Goldie--LMFOA @ BArbwa playing with herself!!!
LynnD..Glad the mouth is feeling better!!!
Need to shower and get ready for work..Must Deliver!!!
Have a great night all...
Whabbear: Sending a prayer for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. Please let us know how she's doing. ((Hugs)) for you.
For those who enjoy musical theater...
Tonight, PBS is airing the musical, Camelot, live from Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic. Here's the link if you want to read more about the production and the cast.
Live from Lincoln Center: Camelot
There's also a place on that page where you can check your local listings to see what time it starts in your area.
My local PBS station is airing it again on Saturday so that's when I'm going to record, because I have to record Grey's Anatomy tonight. :)
WHABBY - You and your sister are in my thoughts and prayers.
IDIOT - Zona's eyes are brown!!!
GOLDIE - Have a great weekend!!!
TINKA - Happy birthday to Tia!!! I'm sure she'll enjoy her special day!!!
Goldie They are coming out of the woodwork! It's absolutely bizarre!
I actually have to do some work today so I need to get to it. I've been procrastinating long enough but I will fly through periodically and try to keep up.
Good afternoon everyone! I am back on Michigan time! My body is confused, but then so is my brain. Who has the deep blue eyes Zona or Carol?
Whabby~ Special thoughts and prayers to your sister.I can't believe she has been in pain so long!I remember when you mentioned the first surgery on the other blog.Bless her heart.
I will be donating my usable parts after I've gone to heaven, heaven knows they are needed here!
I'm not sure if I mentioned that my sister & her hubby are missionaries. They use their singing as their messages. My BIL left for Mexico this week for a huge gathering of missionary preachers. When he got off the plane on a Texas border town he was greeted by tears. It seems that a van full of missionaries were hit head on.Two in the van were killed,5 others were injured. One killed was originally from about 20 miles from me. The car that hit them head on lost all seven passengers! I guess the car had a blow-out.
I will post a couple of my sisters album covers on my space later.
MARY/MI - I bet it feels good to be home. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the people that died in that tragic accident. How awful. ((((HUGS)))) to you.
CAROL - How fun to reconnect with people from school. And I must say.....YOU have the most amazing blue eyes!!!
GOLIE - You're just a marching fool today!!! I love it!!!
ZONA - SWAK.....just cuz I luv ya!!!
left, left, left, right, left!!!
left, left, left, right, left!!!
MEK?!!?
left, left, left, right, left!!!
GOLDIE?!!?
left, left, left, right, left!!!

100!!!!
Jodi - Tia says "Thank you" and so do I.
Zona - I love you too. I loved our long phone call yesterday. Hope you are feeling well today.
Ibebold - If you spoon feed leftovers to your dogs then you are my kind of woman. I guess I should clarify that and say "dog lover". Other wise it might not sound right. LOL
VIG - Thanks for letting me know how you are. Watch out for falling doors.
Jodi - Congrats on 100.
Hi Everyone!
I am sorry I have missing from the nest!
I went out to dinner last nite (as you all know) and got home late, I wrote the blog, and then passed out!
Thanks to everyone yesterday for the comments, about all of our weight issues....I am still struggling, as I guess I will always!
TINKA - Waving a wing at you!!! Please give TIA a squeeze from me. :D
Barbwa:
Congrats on 1 thru 12?
Jodi:
Congrats on 100
I had a great time last nite, it was so much fun, talking about the past!
It was so strange that two blogs, came together in one night.
Whabby:
Thinking of you and your sister, best wishes are being sent your way!
Please keep us posted...
Lynnd:
Hope you are feeling better...
Tinka:
Happy Birthday to Tia...
Mary/Mi:
Welcome home, So sorry for all those people, special thoughts for them as well as their families.
and
I have the blue eyes, My picture represents the color blue, as I was posting the picture I thought of Zona, as I always send her happy blue thoughts, so the picture was for her as well as representing the color blue.
Make Sense?
Tinka~give Tia a birthday {{nuzzle}}for me!
Goldie "over kill to 75" too funny!
Amicus~Thanks for the Camelot link.
Jodi~ Yup, good to be home. We need some "real" food! LOL! Too much fancy freakin food!
Tina~ I hear you are going to Hawaii! When?
I will be making my European trip plans this week with my niece. She is staying here with me until we go, so it will be easier to make our plans. She is big on pre-trip lists and planning. It doesn't hurt that she speaks French!
Whabby, thinking positive thoughts about your sister!
Jodi:
Thank You!
Hi Carol!
Waving a wing at ITEACH!!!
Carol~ LOL! Thanks for "splaning" that to me! I am slow today.
iteach:
Hello! I was just gonna send you a Howdy and you bet me to it :O)
Hi Jodi, Hi Mary!!
Mary/Mi:
When I was posting the blog, I thought of it perhaps being confusing, I probably should have explained it.
Whabby:
I am fortunate that I live and work where I grew up, My agency is around the corner from where I was born, and my agency is a 7minute drive to my house. I do feel that I have missed out on living elsewhere, I have not broaden my horizons so to speak. And now I am not sure if I can.
I give everyone lots of kudos, who have moved away from their
familiar surroundings.
Ibb:
Thank you!
barbwa:
Yes, it was a sweet blog, and the meal was delish!
I adore Italian Food!
We had Chicken Savoy, Shells with Pot Cheese, and a Spring Salad. We ate it family style so we all could get a taste of everything!
See told ya all I was still struggling!
:O)
Mek:
Yes I agree, reconnecting and bringing back old memories is sure fun!
I am glad you found your friend!
I am going to finish up here at my office, I will check back when I get home!
Hope all had a good day!
~~waving at iteach
TOTD~
When I decided to change Dentists many years ago I didn't connect his name to my hometown. He came in after the DDS assist. finished. He took one look at me and yelled "Mary is the you"? He was one grade ahead of me. We went to the same school from the very beginning, k-high school.
He is still my sweet gentle DDS after 10 yrs.
night.owls.sb - It made perfect sense to me. I would know your style of writing anywhere. You are unique. Tia is getting a 'big head' from all the shout outs. Thank you so much.
Mary - I gave Tia your 'nuzzle'. She loves {{{nuzzles.}}}}
Iteach - How are you doing?
TGIF!!!!!
I am having trouble logging into myspace. Is anyone else or am I unique too?
CAROL - As many of you know.....I have lived in the same town since I was 1 1/2. I love that my children are growing up in the same community/school district that I did. Many of my classmates have moved away over the years, but more, and more they have migrated back home to Oregon, WI!!! Next year will be my 25th year class reunion - and I can't wait!!! Even though I live in a small town, we had a pretty large class of about 225. I have often felt like maybe I should've spread my wings and lived someplace else....but I guess this is where I'm happiest. "There's no place like home".....just a little quote for DIANNE!! :d
124
125!!!
TINKA - Not having trouble with ms....but it is awfully SLOW.
Hi Tinka, I'm doing fine.
Just a little overwhelmed with my end of the year school duties.
1. Retirement party for the kindergarten teacher.
2. Good-bye party for the 30 volunteer citizens from our town that worked with our struggling students after school.
3. Our end of the year field trip to the Discovery Museum.
4. End of the year testing
5. End of the year report card grades.
My head is spinning. I'm off to the store to find something for my mom for mother's day.
Hi Everyone!
CPGEM: Thank you so much for the wonderful Happy Blue! You must have just sensed that it would be extremely welcomed! Again. :)
I live in the same neighborhood I grew up in. When people recognize me, it's usually from gradeschool, which always amazes me. Maybe it's the personality they are remembering? ;)
I also believe there are no accidents. I don't always understand why things happen the way they do..but I do believe there is a plan for everyone. But why must we often cry to get from point A to B? This is something I wonder about.
CONGRATS on FIRST BARB/WA!!! and 2nd thru 12th!! :)
LYNND: Hope you are feeling better this evening.
TINKA: I loved talking to you last night. Happy Birthday and a big hug to TIA!
JODI: You make me smile...love you!! :)
Breaking this in two...
Family drama afoot..so please forgive me if I wave and run! {{HUGS}} to everyone!! :)
Zona - I am probably in the middle of your two posts. Glad you are feeling well. Tia says
"Hi". She is so spoiled today. She has been waiting all day for her hamburger. I know she has. I thought it was nice of Carol to dedicate her blog to my daughter.
Jodi - What a nice surprise to get a phone call from you. The world is becoming smaller with all these phone calls. Now I have a voice to put with your picture.
Lynn - I hope your mouth is feeling better. (((Hugs))))
I must get back to my birthday girl and her sister.
Iteach - I forgot to commiserate with you for all you have to do between now and the end of the year. I can remember all of us getting so stressed. Take care. I will be thinking of you.
Good Evening everyone!
Ok I don't know which is scarier the dentist or Mr. Lynn D and his wandering over the lines when he drives!!! Gaaaack
Went in and had the socket re- packed. I have to go back tomorrow and possibly Saturday.
The emergency dentist pulled the packing out and said I kid you not, " This is the worst dry socket I have ever seen"! Can you believe that???
He kind of looked at me and I told him that every dental anything for me turns into the worst whatever. His nurse made comforting noises until I looked at both of them and said the dentist is so NOT my happy place!
It is better and I am rolling with it what else can you do?
I too am an organ donor. They can have what ever is still good to help anyone they can. However I think they should skip my teeth! LOL
Mary: Welcome home!
Waving at everyone!
Iteach: Summer break is almost here!!!!!! Take the long look and you will get through the end of the year! (((Hugs)))
LynnD~ LMAO! "They can skip the teeth"!
ITEACH!Big breaths! :-O :-)
Hodi, where is my call??
I'm baaaaaaaaaack- dang I missed 100 and 125, congrats JODI!
Tink-doesn't Jodi have the best laugh??
MARY/MI - What's your number?!!?
Jodi~ Tina & BonO have it, but I will myspace it to you. I wanna hear your voice too wah wah wah!! LOL
Helloooo Owls! Just stopping by at the end of a busy day at DemHQ. Obama's back on campus tomorrow evening. Then Hillary, who's in So. Oregon tonight. Didn't want to let the day escape without a few shout-outs though...
Bear: As an agnostic, I send BOTH prayers(I want to believe they are heard) & good vibes for excellent post-surgery outcomes for your sis. We were with her (and you) last time, and we're with her now. I read your touching 'memorial candle' post, and wondered if you left any contact info. If you did, I'm guessing you will hear voices from your past soon.
LynnD: Hugs for continued oral comfort!
Goldie: Had an experience similar to your So.Dakota surprise...mine was in the airport in Philadelphia. Strange feeling to hear your name called out so far from home.
Amicus: Thanks for the PBS Camelot heads up.
Mary/MI: Good to have you safely back in the nest.
Carol & Jodi: Seeing the rest of the world is fine, but I still envy your multi-generational hometown roots.
(Zona): :o) Hope all is well with the "family drama". A bit of that here, too. Daughter just called from NC. Her dad (my ex) is there for what I think he fears may be a final visit. He's facing hip-replacement surgery and fighting kidney failure.
VIG: Still in one piece? Be safe! (btw, did you notice Randy Pausch updated his site today....not good news. Cancer has spread to his lungs, lymph nodes and abdominal cavity).
Wishing all a good TGIF. I'll try to keep up but may not be around often. Seems we're going to skip Spring and go straight to Summer here~~mid-80s to 90 forecast for next week....and I don't even have baskets or bedding annuals out yet!
p.s.~~Mary/MI: Just saw your post....you'll have to call again soon. Not sure I heard YOUR voice over the wild revellers last time!
BonO~ I was at the pool. They had a DJ.You were hearing the loud music LOL! I sent Tina the picture and she left me a 4 letter comment "BITCH" LOL!!
Where's the MEKAL sisters?
Mary/big mouth~ I'll have you know, i keep looking at the picture~ (whore!) :)~
Bono and Tinka...thanks for the well wishes. I have been staying in a hotel all week..and had a heavy wooden closet door jump the tracks and hit my back really hard....knocked me to the floor! As my friend said...good thing I am sturdy (a nice way to put it!!!) or I would have been squashed! I am choked that my back is really sore and the hotel is not overly concerned about it all!
Glad that it's a Grey's day! Fans of McDreamy, McSteamy and McStiffy....enjoy!!!!
Bono...sorry to hear that about the amazing professor. I hope he has pulled out all the stops and is fighting the good fight!
Whabbear...sending good thoughts to you and your sister!
Tina~ "You complete me" LOL!!
mary~ you make me laugh my ass off....let's work on my stomach now, k? :)~

Thoughts and prayers are going out to your sister Bear Buddy.
Hi gang !
Hi Want!
VIG - I am so glad to hear you are okay. I would like a few words with the manager. There should be some compensation for that injury. I hope you didn't have to pay for your stay there. It's just lucky it wasn't one of your tiny students that was hit. It could have been a real tragedy. As it is I bet you are sore. Get in the Hot Tub.
Goldie - Yes Jodi has a nice laugh and a pleasant voice. I can't wait to phone Dianne again too. We had about a 2 minute call and I was going to phone her back the next night. I got busy and she got sick. One should never miss out on an opportunity. It doesn't always come again quickly.
Zona and Vig also have lovely voices on the phone. I am getting spoiled.
Whabbear - My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sister tonight.
ZonaBaby - Good Night my beautiful brown eyed daughter. I love you. Get to bed early.
Carol - Thank you again for the great blog. You are so creative.
Thanks to all of you who helped make this a special birthday for my 'fur baby' Tia.
We had a great day.
I am taking my two 'babies' to bed early. It's a busy Mother's Day weekend coming up.
Stay safe and God bless.
Love, Tinka
