American Idol is winding down!
i must say i did enjoy this season
more than last years
my favorite is David Cook, i have
enjoyed all his performance's and
think his voice is strong enough
to be the next American Idol
i will admit i did not vote every
week, as i knew MEK, IBB and Goldie
were doing all the voting :O)
when he sang this song a couple of
weeks ago, he blew me away
and i knew then, that he was
going to surpass the others
this is truly a great performance!
enjoy!
i of course am hoping he wins
however, i would be just as happy
if he takes second, because i
know he will do well, whatever
the outcome
this young man's dream is about to
come true
kudos to him!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 217 of 217It's just been WAY too busy today for a 100 year old in this heat wave! Just got in a bit ago and am headed out again soon, but tried to catch up while doin' a quick wardrobe change before dinner. Thank you all SO VERY MUCH for the shout-outs here, cyber-cards, messages, snail mail and phone calls. Lovey, I'm so sorry I missed your call. Did I read you're not feeling well?
I was 'economically stimulated' today!! Direct deposit of $600. Gosh, being "economically stimulated" for some reason reads like supporting the world's oldest profession, doesn't it? Come to think of it, after the last few years........
Amicus~~Belated birthday blessings to you! What a memory you created for yourself and your father.
BEAR~~My first thoughts were for you & Jim on hearing the good news from the California Supreme Court today. I was already celebrating, and that just made it SO much better! Actually did a Happy Dance!! And, Goldie, if I read your post correctly, your son is in California, yes? Fantastic!
Glynis~~I am SO glad your meeting went well yesterday. The relief in your post was palpable. All the best for the brainiacs!
MEK economically stimulated her bedroom, and with no stress?!! Pictures please :o)
LynnD~~We can also celebrate the trivial ...J.P. Patches & Gertrude are getting their own bronze statue in Seattle! Whoooopie!!
Empathizing with SacBarb, all the BABBs, MEK & ZONA~~We hit mid-80s today; they say 94 tomorrow. Previous record for the date is 87.
Ronnie~~Haven't noticed if it shows as an update, but I picked your bouquet, added it to the Lilac album and just had it delivered to your MS. Enjoy!
OK~~back to catching up with mail before heading out. Have fun NightOwls!
SacBarb, Carol, Turtle, Jodi, BarbWA, BonO: Thank you!
Whabbear: YAY for CA! Congratulations!
Turtle: Behavior modification for separation anxiety takes time so those techniques won't really help with a short-term situation. Exercise is great, but a big dog like that needs at least an hour of rigorous exercise to tire her out enough to help with the anxiety. I would suggest calling her vet to see if s/he thinks an anti-anxiety medication will help make her more calm and comfortable until mom and dad get home.
K'girl - congrats on 200!!
We got our chicken sandwich - AND bonus - large drinks were on special for a dollar - SO - our dinner cost $2.13!! can't beat that!!
Bono - we are doing our part to stimulate the economy!!
Just Lin - daydreaming is a good thing!!
Amicus - :-)
Want2 - thought you would enjoy this - we went to Green Valley's McD's - AMAZING how the streets were practially empty - all the old folks must have been in for the night!!
CSI finale is getting ready to come on!!
bbl!!!
Good evening all!
As usual I have had a busy day. Actually my May calender is stuffed!
BonO~ Happy belated Birthday! I tried to send you a myspace greeting, but it wouldn't let me on anyone's site but mine!
Whabby! Can I be the flower girl? Please, please!! So happy for you!
MEK~What great luck with the new furniture company! Take a pic with Mr MEK on the new bed. I need some stimulating lol!!
Justlynn~ too funny..you will soon be full of custard!!
just_lin.....Dont' you just love watching the birds!
Lets see.....today I have had....
Western Tanager, Flickers, Spotted Towhees, Dark-Eyed Juncos, Black Capped Chickadees, Chestnut Backed Chickadees, Goldfinches, House Finches, Song Sparrows, Wrens, Crows, Starlings(bleck), Gold Crowned Sparrows, and Bushtits. I think thats it! They are all regulars except the Gold Crowned Sparrows and the Western Tanager who just kind of stop by in Spring on their way North or elsewhere.
Hey hooters!
Congrats Whab, you're the first one I thought of today too when I heard the news!
I'd love to be the flower girl!
OK we got our tax check last week for $1200. Is it just a coincidence that the new mattress I bought a couple days, tax and discount included, came to $1199.99???? hmmm
Congrats on the great experience MEK, what a change from the couch people. Take some pics of the new furniture!
IBB I looked at your pics tonight (I signed onto Myspace from the desk top computer and didn't get foaded). WOW is all I can say after seeing the car pics.
I'm sure the deer did not suffer and never knew what happened.
Thankfully your hubby is ok. That looked awful.
By the way your flowers are gorgeous!
Glynis glad all went well for your little guys!
It was in the 90s here today and kinda humid. My huz went swimming and said the water was really HOT.
We are having Survivor withdrawals tonight, nothing on tv now.
Yay tomorrow is FRIDAY!
crap....Just_lin
I forgot the Annas and Rufus hummingbirds. They fight epic battles. And I saw a Morning Dove fly overhead...does that count????
EBJ....
I'm having Survivor withdrawls too. I can not wait for the next show! I love that they are going back to Africa!!!!! The last time they were in Africa was one of my favorite seasons!
And yes....It's a little warm out still. Suppose to be in the 90's tomorrow. Right now I have all the windows open and all the ceiling fans going. It's cooling down now that the sun has set!
BarbWA and J/L: I have two morning dove families nesting in my carport. This is the 3rd year. I love having them there, except when they crap on my car. It's funny they haven't done it since I came back from Hawaii, but my car was a mess when I came home. I gave them a stern talking to, and I guess it worked. After all, I do feed them and give them free board.
Justlynn & Barb~ Mr Mary & I love watching our feeder. Today we had many finches,Red Headed & Downey woodpeckers,Sparrows,Nuthatches,
Titmouses,Goldfinches,Red Breasted Grosbeak,Cardinals, Doves & Blue Jays. Last week we had 3 beautiful Baltimore Orioles. We also have Ruby Throated Humming Birds. Our little creek also attracts beautiful Herons and Cranes. Once in a while we see a beautiful Eagle soaring high. We have quite a few around here. Hey, we even have Barn Owls LOL!!
Barb, Barbwa and Mary I love hearing about your birds. I get Western Scrub Jays and Stellar Jays. Also, Song, Golden Crowned, White Crowned, Fox, and House Sparrows but not lately. There were a bunch of Bushtits a few days ago. Amazing to watch them flying as they remind me of a school of fish, with all their coordinated quick turns. So far, I've seen 31 different types of birds. Things are a little disrupted now because of the construction of the back deck.
I will say goodnight. This Night Owl is pooped!
Just Lin - i was reading your post and thought you said
alot of bullshit - LOL - then I had to look again!!
Mary - good night!!
I just read that Ellen DeGeneres is going to go get married!!
:-)
Good Night everyone..
Hope everyone has an excellent Friday!!!
:-)
Good night all. I have to get up very early and go get my car back from the dealer. They had to replace the hybrid battery today because it has been recalled. Not happy about that. Sweet Dreams everyone.
MEK Sometimes I do say a bunch of bullshit. LOL
Good night everyone. Sweet dreams. See you tomorrow. I get to have a mammogram. Oh, boy!
Thank you so much, you guys! I would be humbled and honored by your presence, each and every one of you!
But first... I have to propose! LOL!
Judy: I got the nicest note today about it from Robbie. She rocks!
Happy Birthday yesterday, Bonny!
Happy Belated Birthday, Amicus!
