The Last Nickel

by Dianne

A father walks into a restaurant with his young son. He gives the young boy 3 nickels to play with to keep him occupied.

Suddenly, the boy starts choking, going blue in the face. The father realizes the boy has swallowed the nickels and starts slapping him on the back. The boy coughs up 2 of the nickels, but keeps choking. Looking at his son, the father is panicking, shouting for help.

A well-dressed, attractive, and serious looking woman in a blue business suit is sitting at the coffee bar reading a newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee. At the sound of the commotion, she looks up, puts her coffee cup down, neatly folds the newspaper and places it on the counter, gets up from her seat and makes her way, unhurried, across the restaurant.

Reaching the boy, the woman carefully drops his pants; takes hold of the boy's testicles and starts to squeeze and twist, gently at first and then ever so firmly. After a few seconds the boy convulses violently and coughs up the last nickel, which the woman deftly catches in her free hand.

Releasing the boy's testicles, the woman hands the nickel to the father and walks back to her seat at the coffee bar without saying a word.

As soon as he is sure that his son has suffered no ill effects, the father rushes over to the woman and starts thanking her saying, "I've never seen anybody do anything like that before, it was fantastic. Are you a doctor? "

"No," the woman replied,

"I'm with the Internal Revenue Service."

Hello J/L. I filed last week and I am getting $$$ back from the IRS and the State. I hope it gets here before I leave for PS.

Dianne, Thanks for sending in the blog.

Hi...We're home now. We had a great too short of a trip. It was so nice without TV, I can't even tell you. We had about 2" of snow last night which made it pretty. We did have one scare going to the car, Louis slipped and fell but caught himself with his hands before going all the way down....it really scared us. He's okay and the lodging place was very apologetic as they were shoveling at the time but it was still slush.

Glad you like the blog. We haven't done our taxes yet. We have an appt at the end of the month. Hope we get money back too.

Well, now have to unpack and clean house for the cleaning lady. I don't like to do that much.

SacBarb So glad you are getting money back. That's always nice. Hope it arrives soon. More likely the State will but not the Fed.

Dianne Oooh, close call for Louis. Thank goodness he was able to catch himself. I'm glad you didn't slip. That's all you need for your knees.

Didn't see that coming Dianne lol! Glad your trip didn't end up in the hospital! Lois must be part Mt Goat lol!

Justlin, here's hoping your returns arrive quick. Did you file electronically?

Tomorrow is lunch with my GM co-workers. We are all retired and love getting together once a month. I love catching up on their lives. Even with the internet, it is still good to see them face to face. Have a great hump day tomorrow :P)

Mary My accountant did file my returns electronically. There is also a trust involved and the state return had to be mailed in. Not getting anything back but don't pay anything, either. Have fun at your lunch.
