i am starting to get really pissed
about the high price of gas, it really
has many people at a standstill, and they are
just not doing things that they normally
would!
all weekend long as i drove around
doing errands, there was no traffic
to be had, some roads i travel by mid
afternoon on weekends are bumper
to bumper, i had prepared myself for
this thinking how bad it would be so
i started my days early
well i really could have slept in late
cause there was no one around!
it really has come to being unaffordable
the cost to fill up my tank is $55.00
when the heck did that happen!
my cousin has a suv, $125.00 to fill
her tank up! What!
how in the world are we suppose to
be able to afford this, our salaries have
not gone up, and yet everything else goes up
the poor, can't put gas in their car at all
the middle class, will put gas in their car
and struggle with the payment
the rich, don't really care how much gas is
and heck, why should they!
every time you get a estimate on something
such as landscaper's, garbage removal, etc
they also tell you they have to add on extra
for gas, and if you want the service you have
to pay! So you do it!
i am not good at this, i really don't know
the solution or for that matter have any
answers!
i did some searching and this is what i found:
"Why are gas prices so high"
1.) Increase in demand in developing countries, primarily China and India.
2.) Lack of refinement capability.
3.) Some recent natural disasters - Katrina, etc.
4.) Oil speculators.
5.) OPEC price manipulation.
6.) Dollar rates vs foreign currency
7.) Political instability in the middle east.
8.) Normal inflation
so are these really the answers?
perhaps, just not so sure~~

three ways without me huh?
Hi, everybody!
MEK, that toilet problem on station is smelly! LOL!
Tink: Thanks for thinking of me! LOL! We drove back from Vegas today, about an 8 hour drive. Huz and I carefully split the gas charges.
I have one observation related to Carol's blog. We are supposed to be in a belt tightening situation as a country right now, am I right, what with the exploding gas prices, food prices, air fares, etc. etc.
Owls, you sure wouldn't know it if you were in Vegas (my first time) over the last couple of days. All the hotels seemed to be full, the strip was packed to the gills last night with people from all walks of life, and Vegas in general just amazed me... the entire town is geared toward getting tourists to spend, spend, spend and consume, consume, consume, in as many extravagant ways as humanly possible!
Case in point: The mini-bar in our hotel room. Upon checking our hotel bill this morning prior to checkout, we noticed a 12 dollar charge for "refreshments" and had to challenge to get the charges removed.
Our sin? We actually opened up the mini-bar and put a bottle of white wine in it to cool down.
Turns out, the mini-bar is wired up with weight sensors so that they can charge you immediately when you withdraw an item. Apparently, the sensing system doesn't discriminate between weight reductions and weight additions!
OMG! Remember the good old days, when you could consume something from a mini-bar and not get charged for it as long as you replaced it yourself before the maids could do their inventory?
Not any more!
Go to bed Bear buddy!
You had a mini bar in your car at the parking garage in Vegas? cool
LOL@Sleep, and for the late comments in A51, too! I JUST finished reading them!
OMG, Huz and I should have just casually taken our suits off at the wave pool and acted like we were at San Gregorio! We would have started a stampede that would have rivaled the scene from "The Blob" !!!
MEK and Jodi, I read your comments about "Taps" with great interest. Hugs to you both!
Ah Bear, I miss your sense of humor when your gone !
WANT - Are you sleeping?!!?
