As I write this, I'm shivering in my chair. I've just turned up the thermostat....again!!! I can't get warm. The silly thing is, we've had a pretty mild winter as winters go. Most of the time it snows at night. My commute hasn't been bad. I've only had to worry about my son driving in the snow a couple of times. It's nothing like last winter....but I'm so over it and ready for warmer weather. The other morning, no sooner did I arrive at work, and it started snowing. I had no idea it was going to. All I had on was a hoodie. Well.....I had my clothes on AND a hoodie. No jacket. Luckily, I had 10 hours to pray that it stopped snowing......and it did. Funny thing is, when I hear about the 80 and 90 degree weather in other parts of the country, I feel sorry for those people who live there because they don't get to experience the coolness that is snow! Yet, I'd give anything to be laying on a beach in Hawaii right about now! Are we ever really happy with what we have?

TINA: Funny commercial!! I can't really relate to it..though I kinda wish I could. We haven't had to turn the heat on here since you and Dianne left. I would have loved to have a colder winter..it helps offset the summer. Oh geez..the heat..it's only 2 months away!

Heheheh! Loved the commercial Tina! I too am sick of snow. It was 60 on Sunday and snowed Mon and Tues. Those little Spring teasers are just plain cruel!
My SO and I plan on retiring to Southern CA and I have wondered if we will miss the snow. I'm guessing probably at Christmas, but I don't think he will miss shoveling.

I have dug my car out of the snow, so many times, I can never count, and it is never fun. But I do enjoy the seasons, so I guess I have to put up with the snow...

Carol, I always hear about seasons and how we in SoCal don't have them. We do. We have summer of course, autumn is fire season, winter (in good years) is neener neener season and spring is "almost summer".
When I was in Italy in January, I tried to enjoy the snow. Once. I went sledding and hit a tree. SNOW IS DANGEROUS!! We need to require permits for it. I would never pass the test.

This morning I was greeted with "feels like" -4 temperatures. The actual temp was 22. Why do they bother telling us both.
Why not just tell me, "It's cold enough outside this morning that your nips may just snap like two little snow peas. Wear your padded bra!" Now that would be an accurate weather assessment.

Well trust me the weather here has not been the greatest. Yes it is warmer here than most of the mainland, but it has been raining and raining and raining.....windy (gusting up to 50mph) and chilly for here (down to the high 56's at night) for about the last 4 weeks. Seriously if I wanted Seattle weather I would move there.
Oh and I miss the snow, just not the temp that goes with it.

Kgrl, Love the whales. I remember being in Hawaii during March and feeling insulted that it wasn't hot. I love the rainshowers when it's warm; especially the downpours in Hilo.
We should all just flock to Cabo or Acapulco until the weather starts behaving.

Tina, we've had a colder than usual winter here. It's been warm, cool, warm, cool. Our buds are blossoming though and it looks so pretty outside!

I love what you all are doing with the necklace. Are you going to keep a travel diary for it? Take pics of it on all its adventures? And couldn't Whab be on the list? It seems right that the necklace be able to have a stop w/all the core owls. He doesn't have to wear it, although I'd love to see a pic of him in a bikini top, the necklace, ear bobs and maybe some llipstick.

Tina I really enjoyed your blog today and the commercial was so funny! Fortunately, I don't have to deal with snow. Custard was thinking winter was over when they got some lovely spring-like weather, then suddenly, more snow! He was so disheartened!
Okay, this may be TMI, but my post nasal drip made me cough until 3:45 a.m. Once I finally fell asleep, I slept until 11:45! I couldn't believe it! I've just been schlepping around in sweats all day, feeling tired. : (
