While watching these vids, I am constantly wondering how she is going to handle her life. I worry about her and the children, as nothing seems stable at all. The other day her mom and her had a fight and it was recorded on the vid, you can see the older children there as their spewed words bounced off each other. One vid showed one of her elder sons hitting her in the face, and she was laughing. Oh my!
She has now dismissed the volunteers "Angels in Waiting" because of fear for her life and the babies. HUH? She has stated she will hire her own nannies to help with the babies. 4 babies are now home, 4 more to go. I wonder with each vid I watch, if she really knew what she was thinking when this all began, did she ever realize what the task at hand would be.
Each day I say I am not going to the website to see a disaster waiting to happen, and each day I am drawn to it. This is one obsession that I can't wait to bore me. I am so looking forward to the end of lent, then perhaps I can get back to my real obsession.
And we all know what the real obsession is!

I hope not though..I really hope things will stabilize and she will end up doing what is best for her children. I can't help but wonder if, right now, she is doing what is best for herself.

Carol I am happy to say Octomom is not one of my obsessions. I have been avoiding information about her because it depresses me. I worry about all of the children. I do understand your obsession as my new one has been with me since the election. I am keeping up with the political scene everyday via the internet with news sites and blogs.
I can name more politicians when I see their pictures now. Mr. Lynn D is amazed. I now more of the players than he does. I have started to take steps to wean myself off of some of the information sites, but will continue to read the news daily.

Well I have the baby down for a nap and Grandpa too! Mr. Lynn D is on vacation time this week. So I have a moment to pop in.
MEK and IBB congrats on the new nephew crawling! Ritchie is crawling but he keeps trying to get up on his feet. Oy! He has two teeth now and is dangerous! LOL
Scrishy I don't listen to talk radio and I don't watch the round table shows. The twits drive me crazy. Well I should qualify that with I do listen to some local guys Ron and Don when I am driving, but their talk radio covers everything. They mix it up with new, sports, music and celeb news. They did do a segment on octomom and whew wee not to many nice comments. I changed it to elevator music. If I don't then I am tempted to drag out my cell and call in, but you all know how I feel about the damn cellphone!

Oh The Weather Outside is Frightful..Let It Snow Let It Snow Let It Snow. We FINALLY have a snowstorm today.
The schools are closed, UPS just closed, the malls are closed, all the airlines canceled their flights, and it is still snowing. The ski resorts are loving it especially during Spring Break. Some of them were shutting down early as we have simply not had snow this winter (especially in Denver). I think we were all ready for a couple of snow days to go nowhere, stay in comfy clothes and watch TV. The bad part for the people that didn't have to work is that all the tv stations only have news on them and everything else is pre-empted. Good thing for DVR'S!
I did a "skate date" with my three grandsons, my friend's two grandkids and about 200 of their "best" friends-not! I was so glad my DIL went along with us as it was very crowded. The kids had fun. It was kind of noisy to even talk so just watched the kids have fun and that worked. Did I mention that I was really glad my DIL came with me?
OMG!!! I just got home from Mom's Taxi Service. I was listening to Ryan Seacrest in the car and he had Gloria Alred on as a guest. She said that OctoMom only spent about 8 hours with the babies during the 120 hours of nanny service. Evidentally she thought shopping and ramming around was a better activity than taking care of her babies. One nanny actually had to beg her to bathe them when it was apparent that she hadn't done it for days. And she still didn't do it....so the nanny did it for her. When is this circus going to end?!!?
I mostly have only watched the Octo-mom on ET. I do have to say that she makes cute children. I keep trying to tell MrD that we should adopt a couple but so far...no go! I hope Social Services keeps a close eye on them.

Carol, I have avoided most of the news stories about the Octomom because I think she has serious mental issues (not that I am qualified to diagnose) and I don't want to get caught up in the controversy. I do worry about how she is going to care for all those children. For an intelligent woman, she doesn't seem to have much common sense.
