The Rappin' Flight Attendant
I fly to see my dad at least once a month. I rarely listen to the flight attendants anymore. I know the routine. After the U.S. Airways flight landed in the Hudson, I sat up and paid closer attention, especially since I was sitting in the exit row. I even looked at the instructions for opening the exit door, as I was sitting in the window seat! I've noticed that the flight attendants are more diligent and make sure that those in the exit row are paying attention. On my last flight, the FA told us all to get off of our cell phones and listen to her! I just laughed. She had a point, but I really had to call my mom to let her know I made the flight since I fly standby, and my husband, to let him know I made the flight so he could invite his girlfriend over. (just kidding!) When I saw this video of the Southwest Airlines employee changing it up a bit to make sure that everyone listened to him, I just had to share it. I hope you get a kick out of it like I did.

Tina~ loved the rapping FA!! This really made me laugh because of a conversation with the FA son last night.
He has been sick and was flying the red eye to Boston from SF last night. He said he was going to get on, tell them to shut up, sit down and don't ask for anything because he didn't feel well. I LOL and said that should go over big! I am going to send him this video.

Tina, We had quite a comedian on my last Southwest flight to San Diego. The FAs get irritated when the passengers get up the minute the wheels touch down,so this one was giving the usual speech right before touch down, but she said "please stay seated until my boyfriend...I mean the captain, turns off the seat belt sign. I did hear a few chuckles.

yesterday I layed down for a nap... the phone rang 3 times and company came over...just not happening...
So much for my wonderful weekend so far. The stump guy that was supposed to be here "first thing in the morning" has not shown up yet and apparently SO and I are having a fight. I'm not exactly sure what we are having a fight about though, since we don't seem to be talking to each other.
On the plus side....I'm getting a lot of laundry done and it's a wonderful 66 degrees out!

Speaking of cawfee, does anyone have this experience? I make the same brand every day, same amount of water, same cawfee maker.
Some days it is better than others. The cup I made this morning was sooooo good!

Well we went to see the movie Knowing. I just have to say I am finally admitting I am not a Nick Cage fan.
Lord someone needs to tell him to lay off the eyeliner and if they have to dye his hair they should do it the week before shooting the film. I swear the last two movies I saw him in I have been so damned distracted by the bad dye jobs and make up!
Oh and the movie well lets just say it was ok until the end. I will leave it at that.

Zona: The day started off nice, with tennis in the nice sunshine. Then, though, I had to work all afternoon. We are starting to run astronauts in our lab on Monday, and all kinds of software testing needed to be done today! :(

Mary: We strap them down in a chair that's connected to a vibration platform, a wood slab that moves the chair at high frequency (10-12 hz) and up to 0.70 gx amplitude. While they're vibrating, we get them to perform tasks. By measuring how well they perform the tasks, we can assess what levels of vibration they can tolerate and still operate the new spacecraft we're building to take them back to the moon.
The period of vibration they're going to experience is only about a 10 second burst about a minute and half after launch, but the astronauts are all over finding out whether they can still read and process information on their cockpit displays during that period!

I found 20 bucks right where you are standing. and that is where we stand to Cash Out.. sooo she gave me the money... that was such a wonderful thing to do... she didn't have to tell me she found it...
