This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
These two ladies were hilarious. They sat there out of the water putting black sand on their arms and legs and faces, drinking beer, and slowly but surely, they ended up in the water.
The Atlantic to the left....the Caribbean to the right~
The Marriott
He wanted $5 from her to take the picture with the monkeys. She said no. She told him she'd give him $2, and he said yes~
In Barbados, the kids took surfing lessons. The twins had already taken lessons in Hawaii and they've surfed with their uncle in Southern California, but we thought it would be fun for them to do it here too. They seemed to enjoy it.
Afterwards, they went bodysurfing......the youngest thought he'd try out the head camera. (another warning....may make you sea sick!)
Day 2 of our cruise was spent at sea. We each spent it however we wanted. Since I got a little burnt in St. Thomas, I tried to mostly stay out of the sun. I found a shady spot in the adult only section at the front of the ship where I could read my book in peace. It was so nice. That night, we went to see the comedy show. Happy Cole was hilarious. He had me laughing until I was crying. After the show, hubby and I went to the O2 club (for the 15-17 yr old crowd) to find the twins and check in with them. Hubby went in while I stayed outside and who did I run into but Happy Cole. He asked if I had a child in there and I told him I had twins and I asked him if he had a child in there and he said no. He is dating one of the girls that works there and was waiting for her to get off work. Hubby came out and reported on the twins and the three of us continued talking.....about living in Utah....working on a ship....being Catholic in Utah....having kids in college. He was a really nice man. Very serious and sweet. It was a bummer that he would only be performing one more night and then they would be getting new comics. He performed new material that was just as funny~
I liked this bit better, but I wasn't able to post the video on blogger so you'll have to copy the link~ :D
We didn't take a single picture in St. Thomas. I couldn't believe it. It was gorgeous and there was so much to see. I thought for sure with all the cameras we brought that SOMEONE would have something. Thank God for my husband and the underwater camera. These are two videos from when he was snorkeling. We met a lady from there who told us that most locals bring dog treats with them to feed the fish. If you get them wet, they crumble and the fish will eat them out of your hand.....and they will swarm you. My oldest tried it and the fish came from everywhere!!! I wish I had a video of THAT!!! If you have a headache, don't watch the video. If you get seasick easily, don't watch. Otherwise, enjoy!
Here is a little more. You don't need to watch past 2:30. I don't think the hubby realized he left the camera running~ (oh brother!) And I really wish we had a video of the sting ray~ ugh~
