I was talking to my granddaughters the other day and one of them wanted to know “how old I was when my mom let me get a cell phone.” I told them I was 40! You can imagine how astonished they both were to hear how old I was. I then had to explain to them that cell phones hadn’t even been invented yet and that is why I didn’t have one. I had another experience recently with my grandson talking about past Presidents that had been killed and I told him that I remember when Kennedy died. As I was telling him, he interrupted and very seriously wanted to know if I was there when Lincoln was shot!! These are funny stories but these children were both very serious when asking me their questions.
My granddaughters, 8 and 10, always want to be older. They ask me how old I will be when they are different ages. Recently, they told me they wanted to get married when they were thirty and asked how old I would be then. I told them I would be dead and to quit wishing my life away!!
I ordered a pizza the other night, and when the person asked me for my address, I drew a complete blank. I quickly looked for a bill or something with my address on it and felt myself begin to panic. I was home alone, so there was no one to ask. I found something with my address on it and pretended to be someone visiting and ordering a pizza. Now that scared me!!!
It is like I am still 30 or so in my head and have completely forgotten how old I really am or look. I no longer get asked if I am a senior at the movie theater. They just assume I am. I sometimes wonder how the 16 year old taking my money knows that about me.
I was at a birthday party with my grandchildren and they were being taught a “new” dance…..it was the Charleston. Now, I am not old enough to say I used to dance that (remember, I graduated from high school in ‘64) but I certainly know the Charleston and maybe even danced it a time or two. I explained to them it was a dance that my mom used to do. I just got “the look” from them.
Sometimes I think I can still do the things I used to do…like roller skating with the kids, and then I remember I’m not always able to. I have a very healthy 94 yr old aunt that tells me the same thing. She doesn’t get around as well and says she forgets she is 94 because once again in her mind, she is a younger age.
I was just wondering if any of these things have happened to any of you. Let’s share some of the things that have happened to you. Maybe none of these things have happened to you yet, and if that is the case…….I salute you!! ……because you’re a damn liar!!!

Sandie, congrats on first! (I just have to do that--it's a habit!)
Dianne, I hear ya! I think that's the case with everyone--in our minds we're still much younger. I think we have a picture of ourselves in our minds and it's hard to see the "real" you. I think that's a good thing most of the time. LOL
And yes, I do forget things and it sometimes scares me. Mostly though, I will write a word and it looks like it's spelled wrong! It drives me crazy--it seems I can't spell anymore! What's up with that??
Have a good day, everyone.
Sandie...congrats on first!
Dianne...No, I have never done that. I just wish whoever put the cans of Tuna in the 'fridge would stop playing these practical jokes!
Good Morning!
DIANNE: Loved your blog this morning..so funny. I don't know when I realized I was getting older. Maybe it was the first time someone called me "Ma'am" at the grocery store. Or when I asked a clerk if they had any Shirley Temple DVDs..and she looked at me blankly..then asked who Shirley Temple was!!! I've had to spell Frank Sinatra's name for not one, but two young whipper-snappers at a bookstore recently! Hmmm..maybe I knew I was getting older the day I started saying 'young whipper snappers'?? ;)
I forget things too..all the time. I'll be telling friends about something that happened to me...only to have them stop me and say that I've already told them that story twice..sometimes three times before! Eeek! I've become my mother!!
There are so many more examples..and I'll think of them right after my morning nap! ;)
Great first blog today DIANNE, thank you!
Good Morning Sunshines! Hi Sandie, Scirish! Good Thursday to you and all that fly in later!
Sandie....woohoo on first! Hope you are feeling well today!
Dianne - Huge congratulations on your first blog.....it's fabulous ...what a great blog! And when I remember what it's about, I will respond. Oh right...and oh so true..and unfortunately I can soooo relate...half my life is spent looking for the reading glasses I now have to wear which are usually on the top of my head while I am looking for them! And whoever comes into that apartment that I live in alone and moves my glasses, wallet, car keys, cel phone, channel changers - can stop that any time!!!!
Hey Zona...posting at the same time! Good morning to ya, you much younger person!!!!
SANDIE: Congrats on FIRST!! I am forever spelling things wrong..and I know I knew how to spell at one time. I KNOW I did!!
SCIRISH: At least the tuna was put away..we bring groceries home, set them on the counter and completely forget to put them away. Not good at all!
I really am going to take my nap now. I hope that everyone has a good day.
BBL!!
VIG: Good Morning Auntie Nort!! I'm glad to see you are feeling a bit better today!
Now go back to sleep so I can sneak in and move all your stuff around!! ;)
Good Morning Hooters!
Congrats on 1st Sandie.
Great Blog Dianne. My mind always thinks its younger than my body. But my mind is a wanderer too, and it leaves me sometimes.
I am the queen of notes. If I need to remember something, I have a note for it or a list going. I draw a blank when I am asked for my phone number. How the hell should I know, I never call it! But I can remember my kids Social Security numbers and clients I haven't spoken to in 10 years. Go figure.
Hope everyone has a good day. Hi to you Sandie, scrishy, zona and Vig!
TINA: I fell asleep on the bed in the master bedroom...and I never ever wanted to get up. lol...
GOLDIE: I've become a great note writer too! I don't know how many times I've scribbled something and then not been able to read my own handwriting.
I seem to always forget my PIN number..that little "BOOP" you get when you put in the wrong one sure gets annoying. ;)
Wasn't I going to sleep? Can't quite remember..lol..night all!!
I am wondering how much sleep MEK got last night.
Zona - get to bed!
Good morning Sandie, Scrishy, Zona, VIG, and Goldie!
Did I forget someone?
Dianne: Boy, did you nail the various facets of the aging process! Much of it seems to arise out of interacting with much younger people, who don't share our knowledge base, and the other half arises from changes in ourselves.
One thing's for sure. If young people perceive us the same way I remember perceiving older people when I was young (and how could they not), then we better get used to it! I considered old people as almost being from a different planet, that was how different I thought they were from me.
Growing up, the return of Halley's Comet in 1986 and the year 2000 seemed like impossibly far-off events, and the age I was going to be in 2000, 42, seemed almost absurd.
That was a long time ago.
Sandie,
Congrats on First!
Howdy to, Sandie, Scirish, Zona, Vig, Goldie, and all who fly in after me..
Vig,
I have missed you, it is good to see ya.. ♥♥♥
Today is Dianne's First Blog ever, So, big ole Congrats
Dianne,
I am so very glad you wrote a blog and even happier that the words just flowed, I am sure it was the chatter in the back round which probably calmed your nerves. However it was def meant to be, as the words are there.
I know it can be hard, but you have all these crazy owls to read your blog, and enjoy your words as I have. Shirley will probably get bombs from the basement of Owl Manor and set them off to celebrate, however if I had to bet, I am sure they will be "stink bombs" cause that is just her endearing way!
Kudos, Dianne, Great Job..
Area 51,
OMG, I missed all the porn, so funny, you guys cracked me up..
LOL.. .
See ya all later.. .
:O)
Good morning!
Congrats on your first blog D! It is really good and I sure can relate!
Just the other day someone asked for my phone # and I drew a blank.
And one day last week, I was at work and one of my passwords for the computer was suspended.
I called the IT dept. and they asked my user ID #. Again just a blank.
I finally was able to look it up on a "cheat sheet" I had stashed, just in case!
Gotta get ready for work. Can't believe I got QOTD 2 days in a row, the skin flute comment was a joke to see if anyone noticed LOL!
Congrats on 1st today Sandie! Hi to Zona, Scrish, VIG, Whab, Goldie and Carol.
Have a nice day everyone!
oh my gosh....what a GREAT blog.....off to read it! :)~
Happy Thursday - (I think it's thursday!!)..
Sandie - congrats on FIRST...
Dianne - your first blog - in Denver!! GREAT JOB.....
I will have to comment later - cuz I'm on vet marathon today!!
waving howdy to anyone who has posted - as I have not had a chance to read any of the comments!!
Hope everyone has an excellent day!!
:-)
Dianne...I didn't realize you were a blog virgin!! Truly a fun blog!!! The last line gave me a chuckle as I mostly try to cover up those "moments"
Good morning y'all!
Great blog Dianne! I feel like I'm getting more forgetful by the day lol
I even go to call one of my brother's names and end up going through all 3 of their names before getting the correct one! LMAO
My granny did that! haha
Congrats on 1st Sandie!!
ROFLMAO!! OMG@Area 51 porn talk!! I really needed that laugh..Y'all were in rare form Lani, whabbear and the others!! That was hysterical!!!
Thank you!
Have a great Thong Thursday everyone!
goldie, you sound like me with all of the notes lol
I told y'all before, my lists have lists haha
I get picked on a lot about all of my post-it-notes all over the house! I still forget stuff EVEN with the notes!
25!
Oh and all I will say on Area 51 is:
Not all straight guys who say they are "exit only", are! LMAO
DIANNE - Triple luv the blog....and CONGRATS...you're not a blog virgin anymore!! I guess I'm still a bit like "Rain Man" when it comes to numbers, so no problems there yet. Although I do cringe when kids in their 20's say "Thanks MA'AM" at the store!!! Good grief.....how did that happen?
Congrats on first SANDIE!!
Waving a wing at SCRISH, ZONA, VIG, GOLDIE, WHABBY, CAROL, EAST BAY J, WHORETINA,MEK and JOEY!!!
lol @ the porn in Area 51!!! especially from the "older crowd" in the nest!!!
Good Morning TINA, ZONA, SANDIE, CAROL, BEAR, JOEY, SCIRISH, GOLDIE, MEK AND VIG...I hope I am not missing anyone. as this is pretty early for me to be up.
I am going with a friend to visit her husband at a nursing home for Vets and it is two hours away, so needing to get a fairly early start.
Thank you so much for the comments and nice compliments on my blog today. I was pretty darn nervous once I knew it was being posted. I was so brave that I did two at the same time!
I know we have all talked about being forgetful before but I wanted to show how things come up from others to me. I had another "darling" 6 year grandson ask me yesterday how old I would be when he is 60! These adorable children need to be seen and not heard! lol I also was going to mention how I was putting groceries in my car one day and a guy came over to see if he could help me...now mind you...he didn't even work there and he sure wasn't hitting on me! My husband said he was just being nice and I am sure he was but I can't figure out why he picked me. I wasn't dropping things but maybe it was the groaning as I lifted each bag into the car. I almost put him in my car and had him come home with me and put them away too!
Now there are times when I wouldn't mind being recognized as older...like why won't people let me over in their lane driving when they see "this older women" trying to change lanes? Maybe they don't know I am old because my I don't have a grey hair in my head this week.
Ok, I need to get on the road and pick up my friend. Hope I didn't make you all feel ancient today!
Hi JODY...you are still a baby but just wait...it will be coming soon.
Are you cheering for Arizona in the Super Bowl? We need to get our cheer section worked out for the game! I even bought a Cardinal pennant.
DIANNE - Yes.....cheering for the CARDS this weekend. Just let me know when practice is for the squad!!! :P
Happy Thursday Owls.
Dianne, Great first blog. I really can't relate to any of those things you mentioned...except the last sentence...I am a liar!!!
I really hate when I am in the middle of a conversation and I draw a blank for the next word I was about to say. It was right there, but then it is GONE! And if I am talking to one of my kids, he makes a hand gesture like he is trying to pull the word out of my mouth. And that usually doesn't work.
I'm not sure when I got old. I remember when I first started working, I was always the youngest in the office then ALL OF A SUDDEN I was the oldest and I was being called ma'am.
My kids ALWAYS thought my hubby and I were ancient. We were talking about the Beatles one day when my oldest was about 10 and he asked if there were electric guitars when we were kids, 'cause he wasn't sure there was even electricity then. And we weren't even 30 at the time.
I'll have to get back with some recent memory issues as soon as I remember them.
Hey Dianne~~ I'm cheering for the CARDS this weekend too! Mr. Goldie is a Steelers fan, so we are having a little side wager... :)
Home for lunch and wishing I didn't have to go back to work. There is a perfectly good couch calling my name and saying "nap". Alas, it is not to be.
Sandie, Congrats on #1. I hope you are feeling better these days.
Scirish, LOL @ tuna in the fridge.
Zona, I can so relate to the groceries issue. I usually buy groceries on Sunday after Church. One Sunday I had to usher and I only had time to quickly unload the groceries and put away the cold stuff. I forgot to put the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches in the freezer and they were soup by the time I got home.
Bear, On my weekend with my old school chums we talked about how we all thought we would be dead at the turn of the century. We were all 57 that year.
EBJ, I noticed the skin flute comment, but I didn't know what that was.
Also Waving a wing at VIG, Goldie, Carol, Tina, Joey, Jodi and all who land later.
MEK, I just read your comment in area 51. Have fun visiting all the vets today.
Sandie Congrats on being first today! It's so cute how you congratulate yourself! LOL
Dianne This was a super blog! Why were you nervous about it?
As you may recall, the young guy at the Christmas tree lot said that he hoped he lived as long as me! WTF!
Zona Just the other day, I got sidetracked with something then noticed I had never put my groceries away! I've gone into the bedroom to prepare for bed and discovered the forgotten fresh laundry that I never folded and put away. I've also discovered laundry in the dryer that should have been removed 1 or 2 days earlier. I love that "de-wrinkle" setting! I seem to use that a lot!
SacBarb I LOL @ your son's hand gestures! I sometimes lose my train of thought, also. Geez, I really hate when that happens! It's quite embarrassing and I just know that it was something really important, clever, or meaningful that I meant to say. :(
Good Morning Owls.
Congrats on first Sandie.
VIG - So happy to see you are feeling better.
Zona - You can't be old because what age would that make me, your darling mother.
Dianne - Great blog. Remember though, you are still 39 at heart. I feel too old to be even sitting here typing so I am off for my nap. To all of you who posted today and I didn't mention your names, please forgive me. These fingers won't type anymore. Just remember I love you all.
Buenos Dias Cada
Congratulations on your 1st blog DIANNE. WELL DONE
I have always had a terrible time remembering names. I finally started thinking about that when I would meet someone and make a special effort to find ways to implant the name in my memory.
As far as people I don't know, such as public figures, I strain too remember names a lot.
Actually, My frightening memory moment was when I was in my early 30s. I was writing my name and suddenly couldn't remember if there was an e on the end of it. I panicked inside and I could feel all the blood rush to my head.
I remember when I was young I would ask my mother about past years, referring to them as the "olden days".
When my daughter was around 5yrs old she looked at me one day and asked a question by starting out with "when you were alive"
J/L, I am still cleaning my laundry room getting ready for my new washer & dryer. I just looked in the dryer to make sure it was empty and there is a bath towel in there. My washer broke over two weeks ago and I vaguely remember putting it back in the dryer because it wasn't quite as dry as the other towels. Glad I checked before the old dryer was carted away.
SacBarb At least you didn't leave it in the washer, acquiring that mildew smell.
Lani ROFLMAO @ "when you were alive"!!! So THAT'S your problem! :D:D:D:D
Dianne, I didn't realize this was your first blog--great job!
I had lunch with a friend today and I haven't seen her for awhile. She said, "Don't take this the wrong way but I almost didn't recognize you--your butt's so much smaller!"
Okayyyy. What would be the wrong way? That she thought my butt was HUGE before or that she's been checkin' out my butt all this time?
LOL!!
SLANI - lol @ when you were alive!! Once, I had to borrow my Dad's little "beater" car, and my youngest thought it was an "olden day" car, cuz you had to hand crank the windows!!!
SANDIE - Looks like maybe you need to pick an owl that isn't quite so "fluffy"!!!
My delete,I saw a whole sentence was missing.
Diane, I know exactly what you mean.
For me it happens when I have too much on my mind. Once I was coming back from seeing my Mother in the hospital. I was a trip I took often. It was a long drive with many twist & turns. I stopped at an intersection and for the life of me I couldn't remember which way to turn! It was at night and I got disoriented. Kind scared me. I did eventually figure it out after back tracking a bit.
It happened a gain a few weeks ago. Now I just push "take me home" on my Jeep's navigation system lol!!
I have to read todays comments. BBL
I just remembered a time when my sone was little and he asked me if they had french fries back in the olden days when I was little.
Lynn- I try to implant names too. Our neighbors up the street have a black lab that is buddies with Pepper. I could never remember their names -Lu and Jay. Well, I finally started thinking of them as J-lu, hence when ever I saw them I thought of Jennifer Lopez (J-LO) so I always remember their names now! Of course I rememberd the dogs name from the 1st time we met..
I had another neighbor who apparently has the same problem. For 3 years she called me Linda, even sent us Christmas cards with that name. I corrected her, she said oh yeah, then next time would wave and say "HI LINDA". I teased Mr. Goldie about his 'other wife'.
46, left, right, left
marching to ....

50!!!!!!!!!!
DIANNE: I just walked by the TV and heard someone on ESPN say "John Elway". I asked Mr. Z who was talking and he said Jake Cutler. Looks like this Bronco thing might have stuck with him!! Yikes!! ;)
BEAR: When I was nine, I thought my neighbors were ancient. They still live across the street, and I now realize they were 42 at the time!
Last week I was outside and my other neighbor's niece and nephew came up to me and asked how old I was. They are 5 and 7. I asked how old they thought I was. "About 30" said the little boy. I was grinning from ear to ear, until his sister nudged him and whispered "She's not THAT old!!".
Kids...so frickin' honest! LOL...
JOEY: I'll write myself notes using just a couple of key words. When I go back to read them, I have no idea what I was trying to say.
JODI: "older crowd"??? ;)
SACBARB: I heard the neighbor's kids telling their friends I was "cool" because I knew who the Rolling Stones were...then they added "..for an old person." Hello???
We seem to remember to put the ice cream away, but leave the ice and milk out. I guess we're selective forgetters..lol..
Sandi-with-the-little-butt, I would take that complement anytime lol!
Lani,ROTF @ "when you were alive! I had to tell Mr Mary!!
Actually I'm telling him ALL you stories so we BOTH won't feel so bad when we forget things lol!!!
Joey, I take notes too .I keep a huge calender, to keep track of things. I just forget to put them in my daily planner I keep in my purse!
OOPS I forgot to take my bread out of the oven. I should have put THAT on my calender! lol!!
The kitchen smell heavenly. Meat loaf, bread and escalloped potatoes m-m-m-m-m-m
J/LIN: I leave things in the washer and dryer all the time. Mr. Z is five years younger..and I count on him to follow right behind me and not let these things happen!! ;)
TINKA: You, my darling mother, never age. :)
LANI: I do the word association thing too..I think it's the only way I can remember names!
MARY: Fresh bread?? Meatloaf? Can you push "Take me to Zona's" on your navigation system? ;)
GOLDIE: Congrats on 50!!
SANDIE: Hmmm...I seem to get the opposite comment!! ;)
EBJ: My sister can't believe I have to write my passwords down..is she kidding me. I would never be able to sign in anywhere if I didn't!!
MEK: I hope you got some sleep last night. We are thinking of getting another dog. I'm just not sure if Nikki is ready..lol..
CPGEM: Chatter??? lol...
OK..so the Cards are in the Super Bowl. When it's a big game like this, does anyone else feel that if you watch it..the team you want to win, is going to lose?? I always feel this way. Maybe I'm just weird??
TINA: That last part was rhetorical. ;)
Di~ My younger son asks about the olden days all the time. I hit him, then tell him to ask his father~
Sandie~ congrats on first~
Zona~ It wasn't that i didn't want to get up....i just couldn't get out~ :D
do you ever get an email after you post and you think you wrote something wrong, but can't figure out what it is?
I just got out of a 6 hr class and it gave me an idea for a blog~
I'm starving, Di~ I haven't had lunch yet~
Di~ this is your best blog ever~ :D
65~ great yr~
TINA: I'm closing my eyes... ;)

66~ not as great....bro was born~
well hell....i got 69 anyway~

lol Vig....looking for your glasses....WE ALL look for hubby's...they are ususally on his head....I tell the kids to look in the fridge for them...at first they thought i was looney for saying it...but now that they know their dad better, we look in the fridge~ :)~
lol Goldie~ I rented a car in AZ. They wanted TWO phone numbers. So I gave my home number (no problem) but the second one was my OLD cell number. I have no clue what my new one is (got it in May!!!) :D Oh...and little Miss Queen of notes....what note do you play?
okay....how sad is this...i just finished reading the comments....I had to read my own because i couldn't remember what the heck I wrote!~
Zon, I will"beam you down" lol!
BBL I have to set the table for my helpless men....
ok, I surrender...
I wrote this an hour ago and FORGOT to publish!!!
Tina, I swear we are edmanas lol!!
My brother, who is 56, remembers everything! He remembers stuff that happened in my life that I don't even remember. I was saying something to our mom about his excellent memory for trivia when Mom looked at me and in all seriousness said, "Your brother is an elephant." LMAO!!!
Tina, watch out for them wrong cell phone numbers, they almost got me in trouble.......
I hope I never have to come up with an alibi because I can't even remember what I did yesterday, half the time.
Justlin, now why would a sweet owl like you need an alibi lol!
If you do, just call me. I wilcover your feathers :+)
lol Mary~ and what the heck is a edmanas??????
Tina "sisters"
Tina "sisters". Maybe the spelling is erdmanas?
Mary Thank you! :)
ATTENTION West Coast Owls!
How would you like to join the exclusive club of humans who have seen a planet during the daytime?
You can... If you go outside RIGHT NOW and spot the thin crescent moon, which is off to the left of the sun by quite a bit.
Venus is just about 5 full-moon's distance directly to the left of the crescent moon. Find the crescent, move your eyes along a direct line to the
left, and you can't miss it!
All the rest: Take a look to the West. The pairing of Venus and the Moon is breathtaking!
WHABBY - Now I know what I was looking at!! THANK YOU!!
Bear I can't see it. I have trees and Montara Mountain in my way. :(
Whabbear, it is overcast here. Would it have shown up earlier? Mr Mary noticed a sighting this afternoon, but didn"t know what it was.
lol Mary~ hermanas~
Our local newspaper printed a nice little article about my grandma today.
If you have any extra time on your hands, go to saukvalley.com
Then on the search box type in "Laura Tintori". I'm so proud of the article. :)
Dianne I love your blog.
I'm 38 and I constantly think how old I will be when my kids graduate from high school especially Carolyn. I was 36 when I had her and I hope I don't embarress her in high school by looking like her grandma.
A girl from my first year teaching now has a son in kindergarten in our school. In two more I could have him and then he can say those dreaded words "My mom had you as a teacher". Ugh.....
Iteach---- What a nice story about your Grandma. Sounds like a wonderfully, well loved women. I would have loved to try her Italian meatballs!
tina~~ unfortunately I only play a sour note.
Whabby- I saw it earlier. I knew what it was (see, I do remember some things).
Mary- I am going to try my hand at homemade french bread this weekend. I have made regular from scratch, just never tried making french. Wish me luck.
iteach,
Your grandmother's write up was so
special, she sounds like she was a amazing woman.. And those meatballs, I bet they were yummy!
Thanks for sharing..
♥♥♥
I missed the sighting, crap! I was at the hair salon getting rid of this freakin gray, I soon will have to go every 3 weeks instead of 4, I grows out so quickly..
Hey JodiHo!
Good to see ya, I missed ya!
:O)
Good evening feathered friends!
DIANNblogwriterinDENVER...Great blog! I am so glad you took this leap of faith...I hope you remember it! ;)~
I often have to stop and think what my phone number is...I don't call it too often...or give it out in too many bars!
ITEACH...that was a lovely article about your grandma. She seemed like such a special lady.
Has anyone heard from LYNN D? I am starting to worry about her.
SANDIE...congrats on 1st! Are you feeling better?
Bebbi has lost power, she sent me e-mail. She said to tell everyone Hi, and as soon as her power is up and running so will she.. Well maybe steppin.. :O)
Mo,
You are on top of me... Fun!
Well well well, whaddya know...I got another 96!! I hope SHIRLEY is keeping good records!
Mo,
No I have not heard from LynnD, I hope she is ok?
Neener, Neener, and I got 100 without even trying...
:O)
Bon has been missing as well...
Hope she is ok too...
Mo,
Dianne remembering her blog..lol..
GOLDIE...I will generously offer to be the guinea pig for that french bread of yours!
CAROl...HI!I almost didn't recognize you without the gray hair!!bwahahahaha
Sandie,
Has Shirley been shaving your butt too?
Mo,
I know I am unrecognizable with the gray... LOL
I hope DONNA is doing ok. I know this was a hard week for her.
VIG...hoping you, too, are feeling better.
DONNA JEAN...you are missed as well.
SHIRLEY...get your ase back here!!
Crap! should be without
Sandie,
I agree about the "real" you, so true..
CAROL...speaking of crap...did BIRDEE poop on your car today? She hasn't flown in, so I figured she was busy dive bombing you with bird poopies!
Mo,
You must miss your shaving from Shirley, However she has moved onto Sandie...
Shirley,
Miss ya!
Mo,
OMG, I totally forgot, true story, there was bird poop right on top of my door handle to my car.. I freaked when I saw it, and laughed my ass off.. The rain/sleet washed it away!
DID you guys hear that the peanut processing plant in GA KNEW their product had salmonella and used it anyhow. That is the most disturbing story. They had a filthy plant and continued to sell it. Scary thoughts
SANDIE already has a little ass, mine is still ginormous!
Mo,
I did not hear that, I heard there was a problem with peanut butter, however I am still eating it..
I am addicted, can't help myself..
CAROL...they say plain old peanut butter is safe. It is products with peanut paste...like the pb crackers, dog treats, cookies...500 people have died so far. They are recalling products all the way back to 2007. They fricking knew...and now 500 people are dead.
Oh good than I won't be number 501, as I eat peanut butter out of a jar with a Ladle..lol
On a serious note, if they knew, they should have not let the peanut butter products out. It is sad when it comes down to big corporations and making money no matter what. All those families should sue their asses off..
CAROL...I agree...sue the crap outta them. It won't bring back their loved ones, but maybe it will shut down the assholes and prevent that from happening again
iteach~ that was a wonderful article about your grandmother....thank you for sharing~
goldie~ sorry about ur note~
good evening Moho and Care-whore~
Thank you everyone so very much for the nice compliments on my blog. I am glad you all seemed to like it and have many things to add to it. It has been fun reading all the comments.
I just got home from my long day with my friend and going to the nursing home, having lunch, doing errands and meeting a friend for a late Xmas dinner and driving all the way home.
I am going to head off to bed early tonight. I hope you all have a great night (what's left of it) and will see you tomorrow. Thanks again it was great losing my "virginity" with my owl friends.
