I heard this song today (Monday, 1/26/09) when I was coming back from lunch and going into work. I had to stop and listen to the whole thing before I could go in. This song expresses my feelings for the people in the nest and the nest itself. I thank God every day for it. I feel really lucky to be a part of such a great group of women. I know, I am sappy, but hey..this is how I feel. We all build each other up so much. It is just NICE..the nicest thing I have experienced in a long time.

MO...The flu is mostly gone....but what fun it was...NOT! I haven't been that sick in quite a while...It is even decimating 16year olds.
I go to the neurosurgeon Wed..so far no improvement. Have you tried ibuprofen and a heating pad? The heat seems to help me a bit... Muscle relaxers with the Ibuprofen (if you have them )works the best tho..
Did you hurt your back somehow?
i am laying on a heating pad, but it's not helping too much. I have 2 herniated and 2 bulging discs in my lower back. this is my first flare up in a long time. i think it's stress related
Mo...I same kind of disk problems and oddly enough stretching exercises seem to help when it flares up. My fav is to kneel on the floor and stretch my arms out as far as I can. It decompresses the spine. Another one that seems to help, is to lay down and bring you knees to your chest and just hold it for a few mins. (DON"T rock)

It is basically guaifenesin, which used to be prescription only. It works very well, in fact I got rid of Bronchitis without having to go to the doctor.
Carol...Pig Skins??? All I can think of is a football and I don't think you can eat those.
Ronnie....Maybe you are thinking of metamucil????

I did get the medications confused a bit. I was wondering how a laxative could help you with the flu....although, I have seen people on television skipping through spring fields feeling better after taking Metamucil.
I'm glad you are feeling a little better. Take care of yourself, and when you feel like skipping through the fields again, I'll go with you....I'm a good skipper.

Carol, from area 51, there was no table dancing last night. However, our party was next door to a big Shriners party and the old guys kept standing in our doorway watching the dancing. One of them even came in and danced with one of the younger sorority sisters. He looked like he was about 100 and we were afraid we would have to call 911 any minute 'cause it wasn't a slow dance. LOL

Lani and J/L, thanks for the well wishes--I feel great! I went to the blood doc on Thursday and he said my hemoglobin is at 12--which is normal!! I was so excited and said that means I'm retaining iron from my food and vitamins and he said no it doesn't! LOL He said the infusion will last for six months or more. Whatever, at least I'm normal! Well, in that respect. :)
sacbarb, I say that all the time when my kids are driving me crazy--"I'll think about that tomorrow!" in my best Scarlett O'Hara voice.

Sunday gravy is actually macaroni (almost any kind) with tomato sauce.
It is accompanied by what we call gravy meat, which is the meat I mentioned in my previous comment.
We call it Sunday Gravy because most Italian Americans served this traditional dish on Sundays, when everyone was home from work, and all the family was together.
When I was younger, we used to go to my grandmothers (my mothers, mother) every Sunday for dinner. My aunts/uncles/cousins would all be there, and we chowed down...
My mother continues the tradition and so does my SIL...
And yes, I do watch my mother, just don't think I can ever make it as good as her or my SIL...

We have been trying to help MR. EBJ's mom find a house near us, and I am getting exasperated. She changes her mind so much that we are about to throw in the towel.
I love her and we want her near us, she says she wants to move, but she has so many excuses and road blocks.
My feeling is she doesn't really want to move, although she keeps saying she does.
I guess we will see what happens!

Mary, I've done my own taxes for years (on Turbo Tax) but now with a rental house and other stuff, I want to make sure we get the maximum write-offs and stuff that we can.
We had a big financial loss when we had the problem with our tenants the beginning of last year. I am not sure if we can recoup anything, so thought we'd start to let the professional people deal with it.
I will be going to school to become a notary, and I will have my own business, so will need advice and guidance with that as well.
MEK I look forward to seeing Tug's videos! She looks adorable, I will show MR. EBJ too.
He just got off the phone with his mom, she now wants to get a "fixer-upper" which will cost her way less.
I asked him doesn't she realize she will have to spend a lot to fix it up?
I don't think she sees it that way.
We have to be patient and hope she will let us help her find a nice house that is reasonably priced, and NOT a fixer-upper.
