Korea's Got Talent

by Michael

A 22-year-old singer is being dubbed the new Susan Boyle after reducing talent show judges to tears with his powerful voice and inspirational story about being abandoned as a child. I found this very moving....I hope you do too...

Good Morning Michael. That is one of the most moving videos I think I have ever seen. I too was reduced to tears. Thanks for sharing.

I forgot to say "Good Morning Michael. Congrats on being first". The video was so powerful I forgot my manners.

This is a busy day for me so I won't be on the blog much. It is my oldest daughter's birthday and also my son-in-law's birthday. When Cara was first going with Doug she thought it was great to share birthdays. I think now she would rather have a special day to herself. It is also Doug's brother's birthday too so she really has to share.
Tango is 14 today. I can't believe those 14 years have gone by so fast. She is so beloved. I can't imagine my world without her. We will have the usual cake made out of Caesar's dog food. Tango and Tia will have birthday hats and I will take pictures. I use to take her to McDonald's for a hamburger but Tia is overweight so we have stopped that. Anyway Happy Birthday to Cara, Doug, Bud and Tango. I will try and make this a special day for all of them.

Buenos Dias Tinka!

This video will go into my collection of all the talents shows contestants that were great in that everyone was so shocked and touched by them...

Susan Boyles audition was great but not moving....although I still love to watch it....

The best one for me so far is from Britain's Got talent....when Paul Potts sang Nessun Dorma....it was so amazing....

These people that are in seemingly impossible situations that have these hidden talents are the best ones I think....

Obama Turns 50 Despite Republican Opposition

WASHINGTON—After months of heated negotiations and failed attempts to achieve any kind of consensus, President Obama turned 50 years old Thursday, drawing strong criticism from Republicans in Congress. "With the host of problems this country is currently facing, the fact that our president is devoting time to the human process of aging is an affront to Americans everywhere," said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who advocated a provision to keep Obama 49 at least through the fall of 2013. "To move forward unilaterally and simply begin the next year of his life without bipartisan support—is that any way to lead a country?" According to White House officials, Obama attempted to work with Republicans right up until the Aug. 4 deadline, but was ultimately left with no choice except to turn a year older.

Shirley!

Do you think he is lip-syncing? Or that his stories about selling energy drinks and gum on the street are false?

Yeah...hes prolly a graduate of some really prestigious music school like Julliard or the well known Cheboygan Conservatory of Opera, Tap and Small Engine Repair...

You guys crack me up!

Just got back from lunch and got filled in on all the town gossip. Lordy the board of directors for the food bank has gone through a bloody war and overthrow. They got their asses bailed out with a donation from Walmart. They received a 50,000 dollar donation from them. So the money that was stolen is now replaced, but the inmates are running the asylum and it is just a matter of time before that money goes a missing again.

Everybody thinks this only happens in big cities. Ha small towns are a hot bed.

They keep asking me to come back and I told all of them that I don't trust any of them and that I was not about to clean up this mess!!!

Just_Lin said...

LynnD That was very funny. Not funny, is what happened in the stock market today. The way I see it, we can thank our congress representatives for totally screwing us over in the eyes of the world. Too little, too late. Hope the T-Bags are happy.

Just_Lin said...

LynnD I was remarking on the Obama turning 50 thing, not the food bank thing, which is not funny. Ah,,,,small towns. Peyton Place all over again. LOL

Michal another great video, excellent!!

Tinka, Happy Birthday to all the great birthdays happening in your family right now.

I hope everyone has a nice peaceful rest tonight.

Shirley, I don't believe the guy's story either. Did no adult/law enforcement see this 5 year old kid all by himself sleeping on stairs and in public toilets? And he did this for 10 years? I don't think so. But he does have a very nice voice.

Miguelito~ that was a completely boring video~ Will you please step up your game and find something worth watching please! Unfortunately, since this was SO awful, I'm going to have to cancel all your upcoming blogs and add in all those fine blogs sent by Iteach, Zona, Bebbi, SacBarb, and Jodi! The fact that you don't have any upcoming blogs is beside the point!!~ So THERE!!!~

sacBarb said...

Lynn, Loved the Pres. Birthday story. So sad about the Food Bank, but you tried to warn them. And you certainly don't need to clean up that mess.

sacBarb said...

Zona, Very cool pic. Mr. Z is very good with the camera.

Just_Lin said...

SacBarb Well, it is Korea so it might be true. I don't know if they have any child welfare services of any kind or not. There are groups of children living in tunnels and sewer systems in some countries. I don't know if that's true of Korea.

Just_Lin said...

iteach Waving at you. I hope you and the children are having a nice, peaceful evening.

Tina Welcome back! How tan are you? My 8 yr old granddaughter who is half Mexican was explaining to me the other day that she has gotten so dark this summer because Mexicans only tan and never burn. ;)

Tina~in_ut said...

Had to stay out of the water on the second day......stood outside taking pictures of the blow hole for about 15 minutes, and burnt my chest and arms.....so far, it's turned into a tan, but will peal in a day or so....and I'll look fabulous! I really wish i was white on the inside and Mexican on the outside! My daughter is so dang dark....it makes me mad....and makes her smile~
