The intricate use of reality and comedy made this preview trailer very interesting. I would say a definite must sea film. Thank you Michael.

Morning Glories!

Shirley you are radiant at first!

That did make me chuckle. Put food on your families! lol

I am barely awake. I will be back in a bit.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen....

Congrats on first Shirley but remember...you must slow down once you reach the entry phase...

Tina left Hawaii last evening at 8:44pm and is 45 minutes from touchdown in Salty City....as far as I know....her phone went wonky so we are incommunicado...

She did relate to me before the phone problem that she hates leaving...hates coming home...and hates me....apparently R&R has the reverse effect on Tina that it has on most people...

This will conclude my coverage of Tina and Joes excellent adventure.

Good Morning Shirley. Congrats on being first. How did you beat the "BAMM Man"? You have to be fast to beat him.

I just watched the weather channel and it said Halifax is getting a lot of rain today and a lot of people are losing power. Hope you are dry and in the light.

Tinka said...

Good Morning Lynn. I am just barely awake too. I use to be up at 6:30. Now anything before 8:00 is early for me.

Good Morning My Bear. We haven't been in the nest together for a long time. What's up with that? Vancouver had it's Gay Parade on the weekend. There were thousands there. What a nice change in just the last few years.

Tinka said...

Good Morning Michael - Thanks for the update on Tina. I hope she pays you for doing such a good publicity job for her.

I love that video. I am also so happy I never again have to see his face when I turn on the T.V. I am not involved with American politics as it is none of my business, I just did not like the man.

I am sorry I have MIA lately. I have been escaping in my virtual farms and not spending much time thinking. The reason for this insanity is the fact that Tia is having an operation on Friday. She is having a lump removed. That is a common procedure in Bijon's but this one is suspicious because it is hard and has doubled in size very quickly. The doctor hinted it could be the C word so I am worried. Tango will be 14 years old tomorrow and I am bracing myself to the fact that she doesn't have too many years left. I just can't lose Tia too. That's why I refuse to spend time thinking. I will however soon catch up on the last few blogs.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning!

That was funny..I'd almost forgotten how eloquent George Bush was..lol..thanks for the memories MICHAEL! :D

SHIRLEY: You're looking just gorgeous this morning! Make sure you get DI to clean up that splat..ok? ;)

TINA: I bet you can't wait to get home and snuggle with that pup you must have missed so much... ;)

Thanks MICHAEL for the travel updates!

Waving a hot wing at BEAR and LYNN!

It was 114 yesterday..I went out with my sister and the heat just took every bit of energy from me. Today is supposed to be even hotter. The a/c just grinds and grinds...If the bill is under $550 this month I'll be stunned! Sometimes I do wonder why we live here! Oh yeah..the winter! :D

Have a cool day everyone!! :)

TINKA: I know you can't help but worry about TIA..but please remember she is young and strong..she'll be ok. :):)

MICHAEL: I watched the video from yesterday and loved it! I think half the show is Art Linkletter's reactions. I remember watching this and The Danny Kaye show when I was a kid..thanks for the memories!

Tinka...I look at my Belle and she just makes me smile or laugh out loud...I can't describe the love exchange between the 2 of us...but I know you know what I mean...

We pay a high price for it...

We just have to think positively about Tia and about how lucky you are to have Tango at 14...and in such good shape....

Doctors prepare for you for the worst so without a biopsy its still just a common lump...

It is more easily said than done...but try not to worry until you have something definite to worry about...

well that was stupid...I worry about Belle constantly....did she have enough to eat...do you need a drink sugar? r u comfortable on the pillow? Did I play with you long enough? Did I hurt your feelings when I said "NO?" ...do u weigh enough? Do you weigh to much? How do you feel generally? Lets just run to the vet and make sure every thing is just right...would you like me to brush you? May I rub ur belly? Would you like me to rock you to sleep? Play your favorite song?

ok..excuse me...I'm a little ferklempt...

Tinka said...

Zona and Michael - Thank you for the encouraging words. I am trying hard not to worry.

Tinka said...

Michael - Your post about your beautiful Belle made me smile. I really identify with it. I can see how precious she is to you.

We make ourselves vulnerable every time we adopt a pet. Through the years I have sworn each time I lost a dear pet that I wouldn't put myself through that again. "no more dogs I would say". Within 4 months I can't stand the pining for a "fur baby" any longer and I take the big leap again. I have never regretted it however. They give us unconditional love and so much more.

Tinka said...

Zona - I am working hard at my farms and waiting for your call. I have tea in one hand and my mouse in the other. My babies are sitting at my feet and my phone is by my side.

Just_Lin said...

Shirley It sounds like you landed in a pool when you arrived today. Are you sure you didn't fly to Zona's by mistake? You look wonderful, though, even when wet.

Just_Lin said...

Michael That was funny! Thank you for the laughs. Bush gave us plenty of bloopers to laugh at, that's for sure.

Just_Lin said...

LynnD Good morning (barely). Did you put food on your family yet? LOL

Just_Lin said...

Bear Up late, but still can say "Good morning". : )

Just_Lin said...

Zona 114! Oh, I would hate it so much. Health-wise I just wouldn't be able to take it, plain and simple.

Just_Lin said...

Tinka I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for your sweet fur baby. Even if it is cancer, hopefully it is just contained in the lump and they can get clear margins when they excise it.

Tinka said...

Just_Lin - Thanks for the kind words. Jack is picking up my "fur babies" in a few minutes and taking them to the groomer. Tia will look lovely for her hospital stay.

We had a heat index of 114 yesterday...

We had a drive to get fans for the poor and elderly...

I just don't think fans will relieve the misery...

I have 2 a/c units and they both run constantly....

we have no cool down or rain in sight. We need a good tropical storm to get us all wet....

I drove out to Bryan Lake and the water is so low the fish are taking turns....

I just read an interesting and sad story in the London Daily Mail...I want to share it....as a reminder to everyone to count their blessings...

A man is waiting for wife to give birth. The doctor comes in and informs the dad that his son was born without torso, arms or legs. The son is just a head! But the dad loves his son and raises him as well as he can, with love and compassion.
After 21 years, the son is old enough for his first drink. Dad takes him to the bar and tearfully tells the son he is proud of him. Dad orders up the biggest, strongest drink for his boy.
With all the bar patrons looking on curiously and the bartender shaking his head in disbelief, the boy takes his first sip of alcohol.
Swoooop! A torso pops out!
The bar is dead silent; then bursts into a whoop of joy.
The father, shocked, begs his son to drink again. The patrons chant "Take another drink"! The bartender still shakes his head in dismay. Swoooop! Two arms pops out. The bar goes wild. The father, crying and wailing, begs his son to drink again. The patrons chant "Take another drink"! The bartender ignores the whole affair. By now the boy is getting tipsy, and with his new hands he reaches down, grabs his drink and guzzles the last of it. Swoooop! Two legs pop out. The bar is in chaos. The father falls to his knees and tearfully thanks God. The boy stands up on his new legs and stumbles to the left.... then to the right.... right through the front door, into the street, where a truck runs over him and kills him instantly. The bar falls silent. The father moans in grief.

The bartender sighs and says, "That boy should have quit while he was still a head."

What a wonderful story Michael, until the end...so sad.

Tinka the rain, thunder and lightening have been all around us but we have only gotten overcast skies and some light rain. Digby was bad and from Bridgewater to Halifax the storms were very intense.

Lynn D said...

Tinka i will be thinking of Tia. I really hope all goes well!

MeeMee see there drinking will kill you every time.

Waving at Miss Shirley and J/L!

Michael What a touching story. I'm sure I'll see it on the Lifetime channel one day.

BTW, pull up your pants!

That was my delete. Typo.

Just_Lin said...

I hate it when I shut the place down. :(

whabbear said...

You didn't! A late night swoop by moi!

Tinka: Yes, it has been too long! And it may be a few days before we get another chance, because Jim and I are heading up to Lazy Bear Weekend tomorrow. I'm not sure yet if our cabin will have wireless internet access, so I may be off for a couple of days.

But hopefully not! Niters, night owls!
