It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
cute vid carol.....it was 5 degrees last night....37 is a heat wave! I keep forgetting to tell you....you can disable that seatbelt warning light and the beeping....did you know that? It's called PUT YOUR SEATBELT ON!!!! :D We have a lot of lights up and on in our neighborhood!

Carol I will have to watch you flip vid later today as I have to get in the shower and head out soon. I have then get the car started running and warming up as it is FREAKING 4 degress here again this morning. This is getting old!
LL/NN I loved the blog from yesterday! I get so excited when owls meet from the blog. I know that sounds silly but it renews my faith in people everytime I see this happen. We are all strangers and take that leap to meet up. I think that is fantastic. So Kudos to all of you!
CAROL - Once again, thanks for taking us with you!! We have a fair amount of lights up here....the last couple of weekends we had relatively warm temps, so I'm sure people took advantage of that and put them up early!! This morning the temp was -4 when I got to work.....hard to believe we had 50 degrees just 10 days ago!!
TINA - Congrats on 1st!!
GOLDIE - Are those your dress tassels?!!?
LYNN - It's only the first day of our frigid weather, and I HATE using 1/4 tank of gas warming the car up!!!
Thanks for letting me ride shotgun Carol. There aren't many lights in our neighborhood this year either. Not really sure about everyone else, but the Lanes haven't been in "the mood" for decorating since we moved here. Seriously three years, not even one tree. Crazy, huh?!

I got the pipes unfrozen. Took forever! Some times I think, maybe I ought to let them burst. You think home owners would cover the repairs?? Hmmm... It's a frickin' nightmare. Every time it gets below 0, even though we keep the water at a trickle overnight, which costs a fortune too. CRAZY!

LOTS of lights in my neighborhood. I think that we could pretty much land a aircraft on our street at night. Mr Goldie did lots more than usual because of the kids (grandbabies) and thankfully he did them when the weather was nice. The problem is now some of them are buried!
2 days left! We meet up with the 'rents at noon on Saturday to take the babies home with us. Wahoo! We are going out to by some sleds too.
Sorry to hear about your pipes freezing Lois-but being menopausal all my pipes ever do is overheat!! teehee
Tina. I was so blinded by your beauty that I just now recovered. Congrats on reclaiming first.
Carol. I'm not seeing that many lights around either. I think people are cutting back because of the economy. Its also been very cold so maybe that has something to do with it.

I need to ask you all for a favor. Whomever you pray to, please pray that I don't lose my job. They announced lay-offs today and 1 person was let go from our office. She had a lot of seniority, so that doesn't even keep you safe. Any operational positions that were open are now not fillable. I am freaking out, nervous and scared.
CAROL: There are quite a few houses in our neighborhood that are decorated. I did notice a lot of people waited longer to put the lights up this year..and I think you're right..the economy is the reason. I had to laugh when you said that you thought there would be more lights..and then the red light turned green...well..that's kinda Christmas-y! LOL
You cousin's Christmas tree is very pretty..and Baby sure looked like one laid back..kitty. :)
MO: I think you meant to say if THEY survived ME..ijs.. ;)
MO and SHIRLEY: I'll make sure there is a menorah and 9 candles and some dreidels for Hanukkah..and they'll be here by Friday. :)
I hope everyone is having a good night..it's kinda nippy here..but not too bad. Mr Z starts his Christmas vacation tomorrow..I think we're going to go look for some snow! :D

Mo.. all good thoughts, and bunches of smiles coming your way, try and stay as positive as you can. Perhaps they are laying off persons with high salaries. You said the person laid off had seniority so their salary must be higher.. Most seniority ppl's jobs can be filled by lower paying people. They don't raise your salary but def give you more work..
Hi everyone! Tina, you look ravishing tonight! Even better than when I saw you in Utah :-) Carol, thanks for taking us along.We don't have too many lights around our area.I haven't even gotten our tree up yet. Every year I get a smaller one. Soon it will fit on my coffee table lol!
Mo, Tina is right (gulp) They wouldn't dare let you go! I will cross everything I have,and say a prayer for good measure! I have been trying to come down with a cold. I can't get sick I have too much to do!
The storm kept the counter top guys from coming yesterday (wimps). New target day is Monday. I can't wait to get my kitchen sink & water hooked up!
