This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
I have lost my tan, every finger nail has cracked, I have gone thru almost an entire tube of chapstick (cherry flavored of course) and an entire bottle of lotion...my body is screaming for Hawaii
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! I hope the new 2009 brings all of us health, peace and wealth (may as well throw that in too).
We did stay up. We went to dinner with some friends (3 couples) and came home and had our Christmas since my husband was gone on Christmas. We toasted in the new year...me with gatorade and MR D with chocolate milk! We did have one marg at dinner.
It's fun to see it turn midnight at each time zone around the world and on the blog! Only 1/2 hour for you West Coast Owls.
Oh, my! I just saw Dick Clark. I remember in fourth grade rushing home from school so I could watch American Bandstand. It was filmed in Philadelphia in those days. Arlene and Frankie and Bob and Justine were the premier dancers.
Can you all believe it....it is 48 here in Denver. You barely needed a coat tonight and no wind for a change. We have lucked out for the holiday weather here.
MEK: Have you seen any of the coverage on Shanahan and Bowlen today? It is kind of sad.
I did not get the Group Happy New Year. My mom's brother passed about 6pm and I wanted to be with her at midnight.. But I did get some videos of my nephews being silly...

I have no witnessed any of the news conference clips yet - but from what I have read - it was very emotional for both of them. as they are GOOD friends..... I'm sure it was a very hard decision to make.........
Oh my, I think Dick Clark looked awful, I felt so bad for him. My dad said he should not be on TV anymore.. I kinda agreed with him, it is just so sad to see him that way..

Ya know I think it is sad but also great that he did the show. That man was not predicted to live, and he does what he can. Mentally he is as sharp as a tack and he pushes on. I think it teaches the youngins alot about persistance, tolerance, and compassion.
Can you imagine what it is like for him? I say kudos!!!!
Haha..Mek, did you see Kelly Pickler? She looked like a young Tammy Fay, somebunny needed to tell that chile she put on too much makeup..maybe her makeup artist was sick??/...

Our little owl in Utah better be in bed fast asleep!! She has work tomorrow and assured me she would not be up to see midnight...that would be a first for her!

I had to put some provisions in the bet like she couldn't be on the computer in bed or on the phone...actually in bed sleeping. I then reminded her that if she wasn't truthful she would have to confess it. I know I can trust her.
