I hope that you have watched the video with Susan Boyle. I don’t know if any of you had seen this but it hits me every time I watch it. My hair on my neck and arms stand up, tears well up in my eyes and my heart feels full. My whole body reacts. I saw someone on another blog post about this and their comment was “Love is universal and beauty is not a visual.” they were right but I think to me beauty is more visceral. You know when you are in the presence of true beauty. Whether it is a painting or beautiful song or voice sounding like an angel. You know it when you meet someone and they just have a glow you can’t explain. It hits you like this did me in the emotional gut level. No intellect involved you just know.
Funny how Susan appears in the video and you make automatic assumption based on what? Her packaging her outer appearance. I watched and right away I had a reaction to her based only on her cheeky sense of humor. I admired her honesty and was hoping she would do well.
Then I watched as she came out and how the audience reacted to her packaging. They were rude and dismissive ready to laugh mockingly. Even the judges were condescending you can see it in their faces and mannerisms and tone of voice. Simon talks to her like she is a doddering old fool and possibly a little off of her nut.
Then you hear the music cue up and she sings her first note. Tears were my very first reaction that visceral punch to the gut. True beauty right there in that plain wrapper. Somehow I did not doubt that she would be a good singer but I never guessed that it was going to be so beautiful that is almost other wordly. I loved watching the audience and judges sit stunned. For me it was a Take That moment from the universe or higher power. We were being reminded that it is not what the outer package looks like that determines what is inside, it is our preconceived ideas and notions that stop us from appreciating true beauty set before us.
Many of you watch AI and I could never get into it and always wondered why. I think I know now that it is a show to me that relies heavily on packaging. They try to package for a certain age group and for the masses. What they have not figured out is you can’t package real beauty and true talent as it is gifted from a higher place.

Woo Hoo...haven't done that in a long time! Feels good ;)
And I DID'T cheaqt!
Gonna read and be right back
LYNN...I feel exactly the way you put it. Whenever I hear that, I have to stop what I am doing and listen, almost daze-like.
You know I am an AI addict and it really bothers me when the choices and things they say are based solely on the "package". It is amazing that when Ruben was on or Scott Savol there was never a mention for them to lose weight, but a girl that is barely heatlhy weight is told to lose a few pounds. It is just not right.
Thanks for your bloggy, LYNN!
I am so late...I am supposed to leave in 45 minutes and haven't even showered yet! Oopsies!
I am meeting some of my friends from H.S and going to our alumni pancake breakfast. Haven't been in that school in 32 years! Damn, I'm old!!
And here I sit talking to myself!
JODI...You can see I am awaky-waky!
(not like 4am!)
Ooops...here's the N that I left out of my 2nd post ;)~
Congrats on first Mo!!! Now stop talking to yourself and go have some pancakes!!!
Lynndee....Terrific Blog!! I saw this video in the middle of the week and it moved me to tears also. I saw the snickers and the eye rolls and thought how very unfair that minds were being made up before this women even began to sing. For me, the judges did redeem themselves a bit by not censoring their expressions of absolute joy and amazement when they heard her voice. I believe I even saw tears in the eyes of the female judge. Like you, I do not watch AI, as I am uncomfortable when the judges are exceedingly (imo) rude and/or harsh to a contestant. I must admit though, when Susan was done singing, I wondered just what was going to be suggested (?) to her concerning improving her appearance. Hair dye, losing a few pounds, better outfits?? I wonder why we think that people with a wonderful, beautiful talent must also conform to our ideal of outer beauty??
SCRISH...good morning! How's the new baby?
Morning Glories!
Congrats on first MO! You better head out before the pancakes are gone! Amazing how fast the years go.
Hi ya Scrishy! I was thinking the other day about when I was a kid and teenager and how most of the music I heard first was on the radio. I had no clue what the person looked like and it did not matter. It was the reaction to their music.
Maybe later you would see them on Mike Douglas or Johnny Carson and you would go oh that's so and so, and it still did not matter as you loved their talent anyway.
If I move my head slowly this morning I feel Ok! Progress. More coffee is needed!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO SARAH AND CICI!
Mo....Mom and baby are doing great! They are coming home today and I have TWO sets of fully charged batteries for my camera!!!!
Lynndeee....I am so far behind on stuff that I forgot to commend you for your directorship. Despite your worries, I can see you doing a wonderful job. You really have the people that you serve best interests at heart and will not let all the red tape get in the way of that. Kudos!! Not sure what's going on with your head, but I hope you feel better. I know I have been battling one of those fuzzy sinus headaches for a couple of days. I can relate to moving the head very slowly...:)
I gotta get moving....where the heck did the time go????
This is so weird! Susan Boyle has exploded across cyberspace! We watched the youtube video of her performance - and the judges' reaction - on Friday night. Before that, I'd literally never heard of her.
Lynn D, I think your reaction is spot on, and you're not the only one. A friend sent on this article from an English newspaper yesterday:
Is Susan Boyle ugly? Or are we? On Saturday night she stood on the stage in Britain's Got Talent; small and rather chubby, with a squashed face, unruly teeth and unkempt hair. She wore a gold lace dress, which made her look like a piece of pork sitting on a doily. Interviewed by Ant and Dec beforehand, she told them that she is unemployed, single, lives with a cat called Pebbles and has never been kissed. Susan then walked out to chatter, giggling, and a long and unpleasant wolf whistle.
Why are we so shocked when "ugly" women can do things, rather than sitting at home weeping and wishing they were somebody else? Men are allowed to be ugly and talented. Alan Sugar looks like a burst bag of flour. Gordon Ramsay has a dried-up riverbed for a face. Justin Lee Collins looks like Cousin It from The Addams Family. Graham Norton is a baboon in mascara. I could go on. But a woman has to have the bright, empty beauty of a toy - or get off the screen. We don't want to look at you. Except on the news, where you can weep because some awful personal tragedy has befallen you.
Simon Cowell, now buffed to the sheen of an ornamental pebble, asked this strange creature, this alien, how old she was. "I'm nearly 47," she said. Simon rolled his eyes until they threatened to roll out of his head, down the aisle and out into street. "But that's only one side of me," Susan added, and wiggled her hips. The camera cut to the other male judge, Piers Morgan, who winced. Didn't Susan know she was not supposed to be sexual? The audience's reaction was equally disgusting. They giggled with embarrassment, and when Susan said she wanted to be a professional singer, the camera spun to a young girl, who seemed to be at least half mascara.
She gave an "As if!" squeak and smirked. Amanda Holden, the female judge, a woman with improbably raised eyebrows and snail trails of Botox over her perfectly smooth face, chose neutrality. And then Susan sang. She stood with her feet apart, like a Scottish Edith Piaf, and very slowly began to sing Les Miserables' I Dreamed A Dream. It was wonderful.
The judges were astonished. They gasped, they gaped, they clapped. They looked almost ashamed. I was briefly worried that Simon might stab himself with a pencil, and mutter, "Et tu, Piers, for we have wronged Susan in thinking that because she is a munter, she is entirely useless." How could they have misjudged her, they gesticulated. But how could they not? No makeup? Bad teeth? Funny hair? Is she insane, this sad little Scottish spinster, beloved only of Pebbles the Cat?
When Susan had finished singing, and Piers had finished gasping, he said this. It was a comment of incredible spite. "When you stood there with that cheeky grin and said, 'I want to be like Elaine Paige', everyone was laughing at you. No one is laughing now." And it was over to Amanda Holden, a woman most notable for playing a psychotic hairdresser in the Manchester hair-extensions saga Cutting It. "I am so thrilled," said Amanda, "because I know that everybody was against you." "Everybody was against you," she said, as if Susan might have been hanged for her presumption. Why? Can't "ugly" people dream, you flat-packed, hair-ironed, over-plucked monstrous fool?
I know what you will say. You will say that Paul Potts, the fat opera singer with the equally squashed face who won Britain's Got Talent in 2007, had just as hard a time at his first audition. I looked it up on YouTube. He did not. "I wasn't expecting that," said Simon to Paul. "Neither was I," said Amanda. "You have an incredible voice," said Piers. And that was it. No laughter, or invitations to paranoia, or mocking wolf-whistles, or smirking, or derision.
We see this all the time in popular culture. Do you ever stare at the TV and wonder where the next generation of Judi Denchs and Juliet Stevensons have gone? Have they fallen down a Rada wormhole? Yes. They're not there, because they aren't pretty enough to get airtime. This lust for homogeneity in female beauty means that when someone who doesn't resemble a diagram in a plastic surgeon's office steps up to the microphone, people fall about and treat us to despicable sub-John Gielgud gestures of amazement.
Susan will probably win Britain's Got Talent. She will be the little munter that could sing, served up for the British public every Saturday night. Look! It's "ugly"! It sings! And I know that we think that this will make us better people. But Susan Boyle will be the freakish exception that makes the rule. By raising this Susan up, we will forgive ourselves for grinding every other Susan into the dust. It will be a very partial and poisoned redemption. Because Britain's Got Malice. Sing, Susan, sing - to an ugly crowd that doesn't deserve you.
I think the author's name is Tanya Gold.
Congrats, 'weenie!
Good Morning Maureen - Congrats on being first.
Good Morning Scirish, Lynn and Whabbear, I loved your comment.
Lynn D - Thank you for showing that video. It made my day. And what a beautiful blog you wrote with it. I agree with everything you said. We think we are in an enlightened age but are we really? We still make judgements strictly on first appearance. That video was fantastic.
I am sorry I have been MIA so many days. Yesterday I wrote the #30 and that was it for me. I don't want to try and excuse myself because of my arthritis. All I can say it that it is life changing. I can sit just so long at the computer. The nice thing is that stages come and go and hopefully I will soon be back in an almost pain free stage. In the meantime I will try and keep track of the blogs and comments.
Wishing everyone a Happy Sunday.
I think while I am here I will march to 25. I THINK I am alone in the nest.

Good Morning Hooters!
Congrats on 1st Mo- enjoy those pancakes!
Lynn, wonderful blog. I was totally entranced when I first saw the video. I actually watched an interview with Amanda Holder first, then went on to listen to the whole video. Fabulous.
Beauty should be from within. But society has us programmed to believe that we must be a perfect size, without wrinkles or love handles and no grey or saggy boobs. Lollipop heads are the norm in Hollywood. So many young people suffer from eating disorders because of this.
I love that Susan is Susan and she wonders- as she told Larry King- 'Why should I change?' Bravo to her!!
I hope everyone has a glorious day.:)
Great Piece LynnD.....
I too have seen Susan Boyles performance.....and aside from the way she was treated....fact is...the lady can sing....really beautifully.
The song from Les Miserables was indeed a surprise....and a hard song to sing.......but once all the media publicity started I thought to myself....."I sure hope shes got another one in her.....
You all probably have already heard this but I thought I would share it in case someone missed it.....I ran across this article about an earlier recording that Susan Boyle did.....here it is...
Scotland's Daily Record uncovered a 1999 charity CD with what they say is the only previously recorded song by Britains' Got Talent-spawned international YouTube superstar Susan Boyle. She sings "Cry Me a River" on the CD, which was recorded at Whitburn Academy."The Millennium Celebration disc, which was partly funded by Whitburn Community Council, was the brainchild of local newspaper editor Eddie Anderson. He launched a search for unsigned acts to take part. And as soon as he heard Susan at the auditions he knew he had found something special. 'I was amazed when she sang,' Eddie said. 'It was probably the same reaction as everyone had last Saturday. Susan was exactly the same then as she is now. She has a fabulous and unique talent.'”Here is the link...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8r9lRJ6yHY
I had heard her do a little of "My Heart Will Go On" on Larry King....but "Cry Me A River" is tough to sing....and it show beyond a doubt that Susan is no one trick pony! It is stunning!
I hope that things go so well that she has a choice of what producer she signs her recording deal with.....rather than letting Simon profit from her talent after he was so rude to ask her age with that look of bemused condescension....Piers at least attempted an apology on Larry King......those two are so pompous......I think they are insecure and jealous...lol
Whabby these are my two favorite passages that you posted.
We see this all the time in popular culture. Do you ever stare at the TV and wonder where the next generation of Judi Denchs and Juliet Stevensons have gone? Have they fallen down a Rada wormhole? Yes. They're not there, because they aren't pretty enough to get airtime.
Sing, Susan, sing - to an ugly crowd that doesn't deserve you.
A) The crowd does not deserve her or the chance to listen to this amazing woman B) How many people, not just women are being over looked with amazing talent because they don't fit the freakish packaging norm that is being touted?
Sadly we the public allow this to happen as we rush out and literaly buy the repackaged version. We are being short changed in the deal.
Tinka I hope you feel up to snuff soon. I have had days to when I could not post more than once or not at all. You are sorely missed. I am glad you watched the video.
Goldie I purposely have not watched Susan in any interviews. I did not want the interviewer to sway me with their own opinions or even to sit through the mostly inane questions that they ask people.
I hope Susan sticks to her guns. No repackaging for the masses! The dolts just don't get the masses like Susan the way she is.
Dee Dee: Thank you! I agree insecure and jealous. It also spells out how much, to me, their judging is worth. They would if left on their own pass over real talent because it does not fit their preconceived norm. If it does not give them an erection at first glance then it is not worth bothering with. IMHO
Good morning,
A friend of mine sent me the video of Susan a few days ago, and I was blown away at how beautiful she sings.
I watched AI once, and was so disgusted by Simon's cruelty that I never watched again.
My hope is that Susan will win, and go on to be the person and singer she aspires to be.
Wonderful blog today, Lynn D!
Congrats on 1st Mo!
Good morning to Scirish, Bear, Goldie, DeeDee, and Tinka!
Lynn LOL @ erection!
I too hope that Susan does not change her appearance.
Good afternoon OWLETTES!!!!
Mo... Congrats on 1st... enjoy your day with old friends!!!
LynnD... I had seen clips on the news but had not seen or heard this ...WOW... she sure can sing...and REALLY... What do looks have to with whether you can sing or not!!!

Are you having a party, or any type of celebration?
Good morning, IBB!
Are you enjoying the new fridge?
I want to thank every one for the congrats on the new fridge... I have all my staples in it and it still looks empty... it is so much bigger than the one I could have afforded... I am still sooo excited about... so thanks you guys...
Good afternoon feathered friends!
WHABBY...great post. And I finally understood somehting you posted!! LOL!
The pancake breaky left some things to be desired! But it was fun being back in the old cafeteria. And the company was great. One o my freinds brought a jug of REAL Vermont maple syrup...I wanted to take a bath in it! So much better then the fake stuf they were serving!
It was strange. Everything seemed so much bigger when we were students! There is a couryard out front that we gathered in during lunch, study halls and before / after school. It seemed sooooo huge back then! My elementary school had been torn down and rebuilt and my Jr. Hi is gone, so I am glad that this piece of history remains
LYNN D - Great blog!! Susan is truly gifted....and her performance brought me to tears. I think my favorite part was when she said "and this is just one side of me"!!! She obviously has a healthy sense of self. You go girl!!!
MO - Congrats on first!!! Sorry the breaky wasn't all it was cracked up to be, but I'm glad you had a chance to go back to your hs!!
SCIRISH - Glad you've stocked up on batteries.....can't wait to see tons of pics of Noah!!
DEE DEE - Thanks for the link, and I agree with you!! Simon should not profit from her fabulous voice!!!
Waving a wing @ WHABBY, TINKA, GOLDIE, EBJ & IBB!!
CAROL - Wishing CiCi and Sarah a very Happy Anniversary!!!
LynnD~ omg...i'm so glad you wrote this...it was perfect...you did a fantabulous job~ I loved listening to Susan sing one of my favorite songs. She was superb.....and Simon was a butt! It reminded me of when i was a pre-teen. I was with a friend and her mother. We were talking about boys. I said that it wasn't fair that the boys went straight for the pretty airheaded girls when us ugly, funny ones never got a chance. She said something I never forgot. She said that it's the package that they see first. So of course, from then on, I opened my mouth before they could walk away! :D
Mo~ congrats on first and not cheaqting~
Scirish~ can't wait to see ur pics~
Tinka~ i hope you feel better soon~
Bear~ what can i say....that was perfect~ thanks for sharing~
IBB~ enjoy the fridge~
DeeDee~ going to Florida anytime soon? :)~ As always, ur spot on~ (and pretty!) :D
Hi to Goldie, EBJ, and Jodi~
LynnD,I saw the vidio a few days ago and it left me in tears. Her voice was Angelic. She was put on that show to give us all a reality check. I now have her as my facebook friend. She is so sweet!
MO,32 years! talk about a reality check lol! Let us know how it goes.
Whabbear, wow, that was some article! Glad you posted it.
Scirish, aren't babies grand!!
Carol,, Gongrats. to your parents! Too sweet!
DeeDee, thanks for the link and info.
Tinka, I feel your pain! My bones are reacting to the temperature change (Caribbean hot to Michigan cold!)
MO, I see you are back.. that was quick lol!, no I am slow :)
Tina, Jodi, IBB,Goldi & EBJ "HOWDI"
Hey guys, I'm back from Atlanta--had a fun time even though our team lost all three games (one Friday night and two yesterday--and they were soooo tired by the third game).
Tina, thanks for understanding the tears and I'm sorry your son is out for the season!
Scirish, congrats on your new grandson, Noah! That was my grandfather's middle name. :)
Thanks for the birthday wishes for Tyler yesterday--I can't believe my baby boy is 18.
LynnD, loved your blog about Susan. I actually think she's adorable! I love her face with those twinkling eyes and cute smile. She just looks like someone you want to be friends with.
Tinka, I hope you feel better!
Mo, thanks for always making me laugh. Silly piggy.
Zona, miss you--hope you're feeling better.
Mary, I'm about to send you Just_Lin's address for the necklace. But I think I have to send IBB some chocolate before she'll release it .....
Sandie maybe you could send IBB an empty chocolate bar wrapper and tell her the rest will be delivered when the necklace gets sent to the next person.
MO Congrats on being first without cheaqting! :)
LynnD That was a wonderfully written blog but I think my opinions may be a little different than the others. Yes, she has an AMAZING voice and I, too, was spellbound. I am not as harsh on the judges' initial reactions, however. I've seen the show and they are exposed to many silly acts that have no business being in a talent competition. I think Susan Boyle's hip shake just confirmed for them that they were in for some silliness and that she was not a serious competitor. I was shocked when she said she was 47. She's still a young woman but looks looks decades older. Her "style" is probably similar to what her elderly mother's was. She is old before her time. She has a beautiful voice and a lovely personality. I would like to see her look her age, i.e., thin the eyebrows and get a haircut and clothes that are suitable for her age, not that of an old matron.
Bear I would never call Susan Boyle ugly because she isn't, but that is what the journalist did! I think if she updated her look, she'd be cute as a button!
Who wants to march to 50?

Shirley I got 50! Did you see it? Huh? Huh? Did ya?
SHIRLEY...I am a witness...JUST LIN got 50! Sharpen your pencil! Speaking of, did ya mark down my 69 yesterday and my 1st today??
BTW...I liked your pics. You have a lovely family. Are they from Easter?
JUST LIN...I always got your back!!
SANDIE...welcome back. Sorry your son lost his games.
Happy Sunday Owls.
LynnD, I loved your blog and I agree with everything you said. Simon and Piers are such asses. I can't believe how insensitive people can be and that includes the audience. It is my opinion that they didn't redeem themselves by praising her and applauding at the end of her performance.
DeeDee, I listened to Susan sing Cry Me A River and it was beautiful. I used to have a Julie London version of that song that I played a lot. (showing my age again)
Carol, Happy Anniversary to Sarah and Cici.
Mo, congrats on #1. Pancakes with old school chums, how fun is that!
Bear, This is probably the first time I haven't had to read your post more than once to understand it. I loved this article. It's a shame that if Simon and Piers read it that they will probably dismiss it, when they could actually benefit from it.
Tinka, congrats on 25. I hope you find relief from your arthritis soon.
IBB, are you going to post a pic of your new kitchen addition?
Scirish and Lani, waiting for pics of the grandbabies.
Waving also to Goldie, EBJ, Jodi, Tina, Mary, Sandie and waiting for Zona and MEK. Hi to all who fly in later.
Thank you, MO! You are the fairest piggy in the land! I'll have to keep you away from Custard as he LOVES bacon! LOL
Tinka I'm so sorry that your arthritis is acting up. I hope it settles down soon. You still did a great march to 25! Congrats!
Just Lin I did see you get 50 and I will mark it down.
Maureen I also saw you 1 and 69 yesterday and those are marked down. Thanks for the comment about the pictures. We aren't a bad looking bunch except the big ugly one on the end in the jean shirt. Crop that one off and it would be perfect.Yes they are from Easter. I am waiting for my niece to send me one of mum wearing the pearls. I will post that too when I get it.
Lynn D I did hear Susan sing and I thought it was fantastic! I can't wait to hear what she sings next.

Mary Congrats on 100! Have you had your chicken dinner? It sounded delish. It was 79 here today so too hot to be cooking anything in the oven.
Mary I left it wide open for whoever came along. You were the lucky person. Remember, as stats person I'm already leading in all catagories so I don't have to "get" any of these...you guys do! Lol!
J/L, Congrats on 50 & 69. You flew in while I was typing. It was HOT here today too. Our high is 91. Yikes!!!!
SHIRLEY...there will be NO cropping of any pics...k?
JUST LIN...anytime!!
MARY...you made us chicken? How sweet of you ;)~
CAROL...is the whole fam over for the Anniversary? Sunday gravy?? I hope there was no head bopping going on!!!!!
Where the heck are ZONA and VIG? And JAX, BIRDEE, BONO, BONACCI, RONNIE, JOEY and BEBBI?
JustLynn,Dinner is over and I should be doing the dishes. It was the biggest chicken I have ever bought. I was good and juicy, just like Birdee lol! My Son swore it was a turkey.
Shirley thanks for the leftovers lol!
To my hot weathered friends.. It was in the 70's for a couple days here. They are now talking about snow later this week! Geesh!
BBL I have got to do the dishes.
SacBarb I was beautiful and very summer-like today. It's supposed to get warmer during the week then rain on Saturday!
Mary Were there mashed potatoes and gravy with that chicken. I am so envious!
MO LOL @ head bopping.
Carol I hope your parents are having a lovely anniversary.
"it" was good & juicy.. my oh my!!
Sorry. That was supposed to be "It was beautiful" not I was beautiful. LOL
Mary You were good and juicy and I was beautiful. Cool! LMAO!
JustLin, yes I made mashed potatoes & gravy. The drippings were extra good so the gravy was scrumptious if I do say so myself lol!
Hi Everyone..
My day has been busy.. wow..
Thanks to everyone for my parents anniversary wishes..
We did not have a big family gathering, It was very low key, which was nice, like I said yesterday, I had to remind them both 2day.. I guess after 57yrs it gets to be "old hat"..
Mo..
Congrats on 1, glad you got to you reconnect, geez was it really that long ago.. kinda scary dontcha think, it seems like yesterday, we were all sitting at our desks wishing we were out of school and all grown up..
I guess its the ole saying.. "be careful what you wish for"
:O)
MARY...I hear you really are "good and juicy"
JUST LIN...and you truly are Beautiful.
Lynnd...
Great blog.. Extremely well written..
I too saw this vid last week, and was blown away by her signing. And to watch the crowd roll there eyes when they first saw her was really sad.. Our society has put so much emphasis on our outward looks, that most forget the inside..
I just hope she stays as is, and wins the competition.. that would be amazing..
Kudos to her, and you for a great blog..
Whabby...
Thanks for sharing the article very interesting read.. and LOL to Mo, on understanding your comment..
Mary...
The smell of your chicken has reached NJ, and its smells delish..
Just don't tell Birdee...
:O)
Mek...
Hope you feel better, I am thinking of you.. ♥♥♥
J/L..
Perfect, you are beautiful, and never be afraid to say so..
LOL..
Not LOL that you are beautiful LOL on what you typed and did not know..
:O)
EBJ...
Thinking of you, Mr Ebj and Paula..
Birdee...
Have you flown south? or north? or east? or west? whichever direction you flew.. please pass by the nest..
♥♥♥
Oh, sorry Mary cooked you, but she said you were delish.. lol
And delish being the utmost compliment...
Tinka...
I am glsd you can stop by when you can.. It is always good to see ya, and when you have to rest that is perfectly ok, just glad to know you are there...
Zona...
I hear you are not feeling well..
So for my friend...
Happy Blue
Oh, and of course feel better..
♥♥♥
I went to barnes and noble 2day and bought a new book, I started to read it there and want to get some more pages in before my sunday nite shows go on..
Hope all had a good day..
Sounds nice, Carol. Wow, 57 years, that's great! My parents will be married 56 years this year!
Shirley, I loved your pictures--you look great in your glasses!
And btw, Shirley, thanks for all your great marching the past few days. When I get behind on comments and see the big comment number I think I'll never catch up--and then I see that you did a great march and I don't have so much to read!! Yea!
I just realized that Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters are both new tonight! Yippee! I just hope I can stay awake ....
Carol LOL @ your LOL! :)
Mary Now I really am jealous. I've been counting calories and mashed potatoes and chicken gravy are not anywhere in my near future. :(
Wow, where did everybody go?
JustLynn, I am standing up applauding you! Good for you for sticking to your diet. I kinda hate that word though. I find if I want to lose weight I do better by just using a smaller plate and no seconds, no eating after 8pm and do some kind of exercising every day, even if it is just a little walk. I cut out pop/sodas. Once in a while I break out a coke, have a short glass and toss the rest, kinda kills me lol!
Good night everyone. Have a great week. (you too sweet lurkers!)
I just woke up to let Tango and Tia outside. Tia seems restless tonight.
I just wanted to wish everyone a Good Night and Sweet Dreams. Love, Tinka
Good night, Tinka!
And good night to all the other lovely Owls, too.
