with of course her approval
Spring is here, and I could not be more excited, starting my day is a absolute breeze, its definitely so much easier than starting my day in the winter.
The winter is for "nesting" kinda like being dormant, as for spring, well my steps are "springer" and my thoughts are much lighter, much like the color yellow.
When I am out and about I appreciate everything so much more, I seem to stare at trees, flowers, and anything else that happens to be developing because of the season of spring. I never used to appreciate the special season as a youngster, but with age you definitely learn to look around and enjoy!
I see a change in my Dad as well, he is outside more, his mood is cheery, his face tan from sitting on his beloved deck. The smell of cigar lingers on the deck and then you know that he is near by. I have come to cherish that smell as odd as that may seem. Its just my dad enjoying his life.
Maybe the seasons are suppose to bring a change in our personalities, I guess it can be looked at that way. Each year I seem to change along with the seasons. Change is good, just as the season change is.
Life is what you embrace it to be, so I truly embrace, with no doubt, a spring in my step.

Tina: Enjoyed the "I am Invisible" blog too. I do feel like that sometimes, I feel that people on here have made special connections and a lot of times, I feel on the fringe of it all. I don't take it personally though, I just whine about it. :)
I have been so busy. I exercised 4 hours yesterday. Been doing a challenge on my walking and just have been way too busy. I guess that is a good thing.

Vig It seems with every passing year I am learning to appreciate the small things in life more. I think this is a great thing and advantage to growing older.
You are right that spring brings an awakening not just in nature but to me also. I love the air after a spring rain and the sight of new green on the trees (grass is not something I get to thrilled about as that means mowing) the plants starting to wake up. Even the animals seem to know that the season is changing and they get more playful and happy.
Going out to appreciate the sun coming up and watch the birds get all twittery!

Goldie, So glad Haley is doing better. What a little trooper she is.
Carol, This past winter def affected my mood. It seemed alot longer and was just way too cold. Even now, it's been rainy and overcast and I'm missing the sun. My energy level is low.
Been busy with the dog's. Ruby is back on meds. Her UA is not quite cleared up, so 2 more weeks of meds.
Boz has been getting sick after his morning meds, so the vet told me to space the pills out. He takes 3 every 12 hrs. Hopefully this will help.

Well, looks like I am going to have to pay my electrician BIG BUCKS because the whole fuse box should be replaced. I can do a half-ass fix for about half of what the new fuse box will cost or do it all. I need to think about it. I am leaning toward just biting the bullet and hopefully I won't have to worry about it again.

Spring is definitely here. Last week I noticed the air was filled with the sweet fragrance of flowers. I have had the same view out of my windows for the last 30 years; however, the hills and trees are just as beautiful to me today. We are expecting much needed rain this weekend.
SacBarb...Good choice!!!My Mom had the quick fix done and it didn't last long....She ended up with wobbly power in 4 rooms and had to change over anyway.

Yesterday Georgina was crying and then Shadow started crying and Murphy went over to Shadow and touched noses in sympathy with Shadow. It was a touching moment.
Georgina laughed for the first time yesterday. It was a very quiet laugh as she is still so young, but it was thrilling.

The rain is not constant, but daily, be it in the morning or evening in the winter months. This place is healing for both the body and the soul. Once you step outside of Waikiki the ocean, mountians, cliffs, forests all are gorgeous. I often find myself in awe at what I see, and that I do in fact live here.
Birdee: I hope the pups feel better soon, give them a pet from Auntie Turtle~

Carol I had a bit of "spring fever" a few days ago when our temps went up. I have the spring blahs now! It has been raining pretty hard the last few days. Our lawns, rivers & creeks are over loaded. I find that my mood changes with the weather. Right now I am feeling pretty soggy lol!
Of course it had to rain today, I had my hair done.

Electricity & Fires: Don't like either. I was working on a sound mixer once and the owner flipped the fuse on while I had hot wires. You just can't let go and coherent words are out of the question. Fire sucks too. I avoided Swine Flu, but came back with infected blisters from a wee little fire that got out of hand.
I was going to say something very crude about boxes, but tact actually kicked in during a rare moment of clarity.
How is it that you all have so much artistic talent? How do you know when a picture is worth taking? When scrapbooking, how do you put it together? Where do your ideas for the Eunice/Birdee/etc. Avatars come from? Is this something you learn or are born with?

"Well my sweet angel is finally sleeping. This is the first nap of the day. She hasn't had any medicine since this morning, so that is a good thing. She doesn't want any either. She has been passing alot of gas, but the doctor still thinks it may still be 3 to 4 weeks before she gets to go home. Please keep praying that she poops so at least they can take the tube out. Then she can eat and drink. I will keep you posted!!"

Mary/MI; It's not just the avatars that impress me. It's the whole craft/art part as well. I look at things like the Mona Lisa and just don't get it.
I was never an artsy person. Very left brain, which is where logic and math happens. Then (okay, secret time) a stroke wiped out a lot of my right brain. That's why I always get lost. Maps are like art and I can't read them anymore. I always wondered if I could teach myself art skills or whether I was meant to never have them.

IBB; Math and science only give you tools to apply what's already been done. Even scientific discoveries require the creativity to wonder, "what if?". I will never make any discoveries. Only apply others' work. I figure if that's all I can do and do it well, I'm okay.
I welcome teasing and get it often. Think about it. Dump the girl who never knows where she is on a piece of dirt and tell her to find a bus. It doesn't take a genius to know something interesting will come from that.

Sharon and I went to Black Angus for dinner and stuffed ourselves and still each have leftovers. They are running a special for two which includes bread & butter, an appetizer to share, and entree and two sides each and a huge dessert to share for $37.00. We both were full by the time the entree arrived. I took home almost a whole New York steak, the whole baked potato and the dessert. Tomorrow will be a good food day!

Just me and Olive tonight in the office,on the computer.
Laurie fast asleep, for the time being. She is fighting a bad cough and maybe the flu. My grandson, who I watch 2-3 days a week came down with the Type B flu. Thank Goodness not the new
NH1N1(I think that is what they are naming the "swine" flu) Hope none of you get this thing, sounds awful.
Been peeking in and reading and wanting to say hello to all.
I still can't see the videos for some stupid reason. I guess it's time for a "tune-up" on the old Dell desktop (actually only 3 yrs old, that's just a baby, right)?
Anyway, just wanted to say HI and send my love to all, especially GOLDIE. May your little HALEY get well soon. I know how hard it is with little ones in the hospital. Our sweet little ones have no understanding of the process, and they want to get up and play, (even when they are sick) I was glad to read that she did play a bit the other day. Lots of hugs and prayers and good thoughts to you and all of your family.
And to my buddy SACBARB, do the Electrical. No playing around with that stuff. My home was built in 1979, and I am thinking new wiring, because a home in our area had an electrical fire recently.
