Do you ever feel like you're invisible? Have you ever written something on the blog, and no one, I mean NO ONE, responds to you? My favorite is when you think you've written an extremely clever comment, and nothing! Zilch! Nada! Or better yet, you've been gone for a while and no one notices. I think this has happened to all of us at least once.
When I went to see Zona for the first time, we told very few people because I didn't want to have to explain everything if I didn't make the flight. After I arrived at her house, we went on the blog to tell everyone we were together and no one said anything. Here we were all excited, and nothing! I remember telling Zona that no one knew I was flying to AZ and what I wrote on the blog was a little bit cryptic if you didn't already know what was going on. So we went on our merry way and came back to the blog later and a couple of people had actually figured out what I had tried to say.
I've learned in the last year that just because you don't get a response, it doesn't mean that no one read it or no one liked it or it didn't make anyone laugh. I've had days where I can't get to the blog until late in the day and I will read something so freaking hilarious at the beginning, but by the time I catch up on the comments, I forget the first couple of things and only remember the funny ones at the end. It doesn't mean you haven't touched me with your comments/wit/troubles. I've also learned that I can't take anything personally. If I want to be "seen", I need to jump in and comment......more than once. I no longer worry about how many comments my blogs get. Some days there are a lot and some days, not so many. Does it really matter? No, it doesn't. There are days we are just too busy to be commenting or aren't in the mood. We sure do make up for it though, on other days!
So don't ever think you are invisible, because you're not. And don't forget.....we have lurkers. We have a duty to them as well. Hopefully they are learning from our fabulous friendships and wonderful words of wisdom! :)~ So get out there and be seen! I see you~

TINA: This is an incredibly insightful blog. I'm sure all of us have felt this way more than once, I know I have. I know you know I have. Then again, that has a lot to do with the way I am. I sometimes think if no one comments on what I've said..it's because I've offended someone, somewhere, somehow. I'm trying to mellow out about it..and I am getting better. Stop laughing. I really am. ;)
I'm glad you wrote this blog..you've made excellent points and observations..and I can reread this when I need to..and save myself some 'snaps'.

HI CPGEM!! I see you! I was looking at the TV listings last night and saw that "The Da Vinci Code" was on. TINA told me how good this movie was, so I made some popcorn and sat down to watch it. It took me about 10 minutes before I knew something wasn't right. I looked again and saw that the name of the movie was "The Da Vinci COEDS"..and yes, it was kinda pornish. I thought of you. LOL!!!

I had a fantastic day yesterday, It is so good seeing my cousins, we laughed so much.. So Fun... We are going to meet up again in October, I prob will see some of them before then, but as a whole, we will be meet in October..

Tina great blog! Yes I have felt that way too. There are days when for some reason it hits me more than others. I finally had a talk with myself (yes I talk to myself) and said hey now, just get your crap together! It is your problem not the people at the other end. I also told myself that I have to be true to myself and if I feel like I must say something even if it is not popular then so be it. After my talk I felt like a weight had been lifted and I could move forward.
I read and usually like you forget who said what at the end of the day or I am going to make a comment and just forget to make the damn comment. Old timers is catching up I am afraid.
Just so everyone knows I read and some days you crack me up and make me think or make me teary eyed. Even if I don't always respond I come here because it is like a comforting blanket and helps me feel connected to all of you!

Carol, the pup's are doing ok.
Had to take some of their 'sample's' in saturday and the vet just called and said all were clean. Ruby finished her meds on friday, but Boz still has more to go. It's just really really hard to keep him from wanting to play. In a few week's he will go in and they will start the injection's. They want to keep him for a few day's and that is just hard to deal with. I'm waiting for the vet to call me so I can ask her if he can come home with me at night and then we can take him back early the next day.
Well kids I have so much to do today that it will feel like a marathon! I will check back later to see if any more of the invisible decide to show up today!

Excellent blog Tina - You said what so many of us have thought. For a while it bothered me when I would jump in with a comment late in the evening and the conversation seemed to continue without anyone noticing I dropped by. Then I found out it happened to a lot of us and I stopped letting it 'get to me'. It was the same thing with "shutting down the blog". One comment from me and there was a 2 hour break. Then I discovered there was a group of us who have had that happen frequently. I think it's the time of day we've posted. Every one has rushed off to work or church or Regis and Kelly. Thanks for putting it into words. You are great.

Zona, some may call my misfortunes "adventures", some call them "stupid stunts" and others call them "criminal activities". I don't think I can be accused of conspiracy because some of the s#@t that happens just can't be thought up. I may be guilty of stupid stunts, but they seem perfectly reasonable prior to actual embarkation. I try really hard not to be a criminal, but sometimes just getting from point A to point B is trouble in itself.
One day I'll be happy to share an experience or two in a coherent fashion. For now, I enjoy reading about everyone else's brain farts. Makes me feel like I'm not alone!

Tina Yep, then later she will be on American to arrive at SFO at 6. She was pretty pissed at US Airways as they got up at 4 to get shuttled to the airport in Mexico and the airlines cancelled the flight but didn't tell anyone and didn't send shuttles. There were 50 or so people at the hotel waiting for shuttles that didn't come. The hotel stepped up and did the best they could. After standing in several lines at the airport, she was finally able to get flights home.
Birdee I'd raise you a third boobie but then we'd be getting freaky. ;)

I'm sure the Flu is a problem, but the media feeds on creating a frenzy. We had a 4.x earthquake a few years ago and the news went nuts. I sent e-mail titled, "Earthquake Damage Way Worse Than Reported". My report was much better than anything you could find on T.V. Death and destruction. None of it true, but no more of a stretch than what the news was showing.
Hello everyone - What a perfect blog TINA. I am so out of the loop lately. Sometimes I don't respond to important comments about health etc. in writing, however, I stop and say prayers as I read them. Sometimes I am too wallflowerish, and I have always had streaks of that in me.

TINA - Great blog!! Here, as in the "other place" I just walk in and post. I guess I don't give it another thought if people don't respond to me. Of course it is more fun if they do, but I don't get my undies in a bunch if they don't!! There are days that I don't have time to do more than a "fly by". Other days I have more time. I try to respond to as many people as possible, and if I miss anyone and you feel "invisible"....I'm sorry. It is not intentional. I get so much out of our nest....friendship, support, and the best....LAUGHTER!!!

Good blog TINA as I think many of us feel this way from time to time.
Has this ever happened to any of you...the blog is funny and you write a funny comment. As a matter of fact, you think it is hysterical and then noone comments? You look back awhile later and think "boy, that comment was NOT funny and then you wish you wouldn't have written it? Dumb on my part to even pay attention or worry about those things. Also, I read the blog every day and most of the time it is on my phone. I "think" I have responded to someone's comment but really I just replied in my head!

Haley K. went thru surgery and is recovering. She did awesome according to the reports I have. They are keeping her sedated as she has a bunch of tubes and things, and they want to keep her still for now.
The parents are doing as well as any who are seeing their 4 year old go thru major surgery.
To those of you wonderful owls who said prayers, lit candles or just gave a thought, than you.
To those of you who sent me emails asking where you can donate for the benefit, I will get you the info. THANK YOU so much!! YOU are awesome my fine feathered friends!

Well, the plumber is here and the pump needs replacing (of course it does). It will only cost $435 and he is working on it now. I am just glad I noticed it wasn't running at all or it could have been much worse. MRD has been bailing water this weekend from the pump hole or whatever you call it. I guess I am going to have to start cooking with that kind of a bill we weren't exactly budgeting for right now.

DIANNE...nope, not been up to anything too exciting. Did get together last Sat night with my old high school chums again and that is always fun. But that's pretty much it! Doesn't it suck when something breaks and is surely not in the budget. Happened to me a few times in December! When the market picks up, I think I am going to try and sell my house. If something breaks, I just wanna call the custodian to come and fix it...for free!
