My trip to Tucson today gave me a headache - the doctor that my mom had to see today - had recently moved - his office gave me directions to get there - plus - I have my "Miss Garmin" - well - it is such a new area that "she" did not know where it was and the office staff gave me CRAPPY ass directions over the phone - we were lost and LATE - and I HATE being late - SO - long story short - the frustration I felt was unbelievable - and - it was one of those follow up appts that lasts TWO SECONDS!!!!!!!!!! AAGGHH..
it's just good to be home!!

Mek - Would you send me some heat please. I just got home from my walk with my 'fur babies' and I am frozen. I don't remember having such a cold April here. I pity my little grand daughter who will have to be on the field or in the dug out tonight. Their uniforms are so thin and they aren't allowed to wear sweatshirts or jackets. We have never had the problem of being so cold at Little League in the past. Whabbear, you are the scientist. What is causing all this strange weather? Is Al Gore right?

Ok Owls....I have a surprise for all of you!!! I went shopping for our party tomorrow and I found BRONCO tassels for all. I bought big ones, little ones, short ones and long ones (for those that are still perky). They must have made the colors special for me. Now some of you reemember...it is a party so I am sure Bear, SacBarb, Barb/wa;Tina;Jodi;Zona (to name a few) can hardly wait to put them on. It's my treat so don't start writing me a check or anything...my pleasure!!!

Carol, My Hubby and I had a business and I know how hectic it can get. For us it really was a 24/7 thing because it was a glass shop and we had 24 hour emergency board up service.

kgirl- every year the Kaiwani's club sells macadamia nut chocolates as a fund raiser. They are made by the Swiss Colony in Monroe. When I worked in the bakery of the Swiss Colony when I was younger (WAY younger) we ate them all the time. So good! My hubby favorite thing too.

I just finished watching our local news, and they had a heart touching but sad story about David Cook and his brother. Adam Cook has terminal brain cancer that has spread to his spine. A radio station raised $40,000 to pay for a medical flight to transport Adam to the Idol show last night. Now, I understand David's tears. I thought he was teary-eyed, because he was happy about the judges' comments.
Something else that touched my heart and is a sign of how times have changed...
All of our city's firetrucks have now been equipped with oxygen masks designed specifically for animals. YAY! :)

Amicus - I heard that story on T.V. this morning and it sure was touching. I think he may win. He has a great voice. He said tonight he was single so that gets him a large following too. I hope he does. His family needs some happiness.
That is great about the oxygen masks for animals. I think we are making some strides in animals awareness.
