A very good friend sent this youtube video to me and I instantly thought of ....who else...all my owl friends. Carol, no I'm not renovating... Working. It all started with a plane trip. The "plane" was just barely a step up from a magic carpet. We landed on what's jokingly called a runway. Really just a patch of dirt.
Then we were told to look for a "main road" where a bus would pick us up. We found what we thought was a main road and low and behold, a bus came along. Some rickety old thing. It wasn't the bus we were supposed to be looking for but we didn't know that.
After about 30 minutes, the idiots I was with got us kicked off the bus - in the middle of nowhere. We didn't realize it until much later, but we were missing one person. He fell asleep on the bus and never got off. So there we were, walking on a dirt road with nobody but lizards to keep us company. We found a "motel" that had one room available - for 12 of us. No air conditioning, so we moved all the furniture to the parking lot and slept outside with the mosquitos. I'm not sure what I'm doing here other than the fact that I speak Spanish. We're supposed to meet up with some guys from Finland, but now we're just trying to figure out where we are, where we're supposed to be and what happened to the guy who didn't get off the bus when we got kicked off.
