Hubby and I had dinner the other night with some friends from Argentina, Ana and Julio. We were joking around with some mutual friends about a mirror they had just purchased. We told them to put it on the ceiling over their bed, and from there, the jokes just kept getting worse and worse. At one point, Ana made a joke about eating pork which made Julio laugh and laugh. I didn't get it, but when Julio laughs like that, you know there's a good story!
Apparently, the President of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez, was speaking to members of her country's pig farm industry. She told them that she had just recently found out that eating pork improves your sex life. She stated, "It is much more gratifying to eat some grilled pork than to take Viagra." She then went on to joke that "it was all good" after spending a satisfying weekend with her husband, former President Nestor Kirchner. It finally dawned on her what she said, "I just realized what I said - Kirchner will kill me." Although her point was to announce subsidies for the pork industry, her speech got a lot of air play on local radio and television stations.
Ana and Julio were mortified when I told them that I was going to write this. They love Argentina and don't want to shed any kind of negative light on it. I just couldn't help it! I thought the whole thing was hilarious. I can't imagine anyone not wanting to get porked~

My Uncle will be leaving tonight and I will miss him dearly, but I will finally get some rest. This is my mother's baby brother and the whole family is a bundle of energy. We have been on the go since they arrived. The longest we have stayed in one place is when we went to the movies.

We are in blizzard conditions here. I am being a nervous Nelly. Mr Mary (the idiot) decided to keep his usual Tues.routine, Bowling then Casino. The Casino is a 90 minute drive to the north. My son and his buddy had to drive into Lansing to take a test at the Community college. I am sitting here a wreck! bbl, I need a drink!
Mary I don't blame you! Not a good idea to f*** with Mother Nature. Maybe you could have some wine and whine. ;)

oh my goodness.. what a day.. Blizzard tomorrow, and I had to
reaccommodate so many passengers today.. Continental @ EWR suspended all their service for tomorrow.. which means no planes coming in or out.. totally sucks..

These airports must be a mess.. I can't imagine how many ppl are stranded at these airports and I am sure all hotels by the airports are full..
I just have to hope they can all get the planes in the air by Thursday..cause if not I am def going to a nut house...

The stress level is beyond, not only do they cancel all the flights but the next few days are sold out, so you have passengers that could very well leave a week later then they were suppose to.. and if they are only going away for a week.. The vacation is a bust.. and you have to hope the hotel will understand and give them their money back..

I miss our late nite banter, it was so fun.. My favorite thing was to read all of the comments from the nite before in the morning with my coffee.. I have some fantastic memories of our late nite banters, at times I LOL and spit out my coffee as I read them.

I can't believe how much snow we got! We have two driveways to get to our house ("L" shaped). Snow plows always plug our main drive right up! Our tractor with the snow plow is down so I hope one of our friendly farmer neighbors stops by.btw, I mean real FARMER LOL!

Good morning!! Pork is definitely a fav of mine TINA!! Be it a pork roast or better yet, pork steaks!! I almost enjoy them more than beef!!
CAROL - Sorry I've been MIA this week. Life has taken us in another stressful direction. I didn't know where Sam was Monday night.....ALL NIGHT. Thankfully she was staying at a friends' house and was safe, but I didn't get that info until 5am yesterday. I must say this has been a long time coming. For months she hasn't gotten along with her father....breaks my heart. I have fought so hard to keep her here, but I'm feeling guilty that maybe I was part of the reason that she ran. She is safe now...and staying at another friends' house for a couple of days to cool down. She has agreed to counseling starting next week. Baby steps, but maybe now we can all heal. Sam is such a talented, smart girl, but she definitely has some anger issues. All I want is my little girl to be a happy well adjusted person.
Again I must thank all my friends....you have been there for me in ways that I couldn't have imagined a short 2 1/2 years ago. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ♥♥♥
