Kris Allen and Adam Lambert both have songs playing on the radio right now. Kris’ “Live Like We’re Dying” is at #26 on Billboard’s Top 100 and Adam’s “Whataya Want From Me” is at #37. As of last week, Kris is also leading the Idol group with the most downloads for his song. I like both songs and know them pretty well by now. In fact, I liked them before I even knew who sang them. I’ve always favored Kris. I guess I like that he’s low key (some call it boring) and seems like a really nice guy. Adam is the bad boy and his antics make me laugh. Both have great voices, although they couldn’t be more different. It remains to be seen how well they’ll do compared with the other Idol alums. So far, they are nowhere near the star power of Kelly or Carrie. Time will tell. What do you think of these two songs/videos?

TINA: I liked both songs and videos..although I liked Kris' lyrics better..and be-bopped more to Adam's music. You're right though, both have really good voices..I sure hope they stick around for awhile!

I am over Kris and Adam.. especially Adam.. Hated the way Adam looked at the Grammys.. When his song goes on the radio I change the station..
I can tolerate Kris more, kinda like his new song, but don't love it.
Now that I think back, last year was not a memorable AIdol year..
Kinda like the year Taylor won.. you forget quickly and move on
Hope this year is better..
My stress level is very high.. Life is pulling at me in many directions..

I had no idea that was Kris Allen singing that song. I like it.
I am a bigger fan of Adam as a singer than seeing him on the red carpet.

Today is Brynn's 4th birthday~~ talked to her on the phone, but a little sad I won't see her until the 12th. But big party then for her and her brother who turns 3 on March 1st.

Well cut my legs off and call me shorty! I didn't know Chris (girls name) had a video.....and that he was interested in Broadway musicals! I mean he must have seen Rent to have swiped that song......Live like your Dying....sounds a tad like Seasons of love..lyrically...well...at least he is not totally tone deaf.
Isn't that title sort of an oxymoron....or is it ironic that he is singing about living like ur dying.....because I estimate his TOD professionally in a year or less...

I don't think it is really fair to put hot and snot together for comparison. Adam has the look. With or without makeup. Sexy Gorgeous! And what a voice.....I am sure his vast range of talent will be seen in acting as well as singing...he has all the makings of a long super star career...
And ya know I understand thats my opinion and everyone has their own favorite.....
And I think circumstances have a lot to do with most peoples opinions....a few people were offended by the publicity stunt at the AMA'S when Adam ground his pelvis in that young mans face...and when he grabbed that girls who-ha....or ran his tongue down that band members throat....
You won't see Chris pulling any of that! Mainly because you won't see Chris....but if you do see him on stage the only thing he will be blowing is that high note he flubbed on American idol.....
And you never know what someones day was like when they formed their opinion....maybe it was a really hot day....maybe your panties were bunching up or your girdle was too tight. Maybe your brassiere straps were digging in your shoulders...who knows?
But one thing that I do know is that I have my opinion and it is the right one. Being right about everything used to bring a lot of stress and responsibility.....but I have learned to accept that I know everything and that makes it easier....
and THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is why I keep her in my life! shhhh....don't tell her she's wrong...she'll get her thong stuck on her hemorrhoid, she'll start sweating, and damn....that old lady smell will be all over the place~

My computer problems had to do with massive file up/downloads. If your internet connection is like a road, imagine rush hour. Too many cars, not enough road. I had too much data, not enough bandwith. All is better, as I've finished most of the xfers.

Tina: I think that when I hear Adam's song I think of Pink because it was actually a song written for Pink but she didn't want it on her album and Adam ended up with it. I can hear how Pink would have done it too.
I love Kris Allen's song and the message. It really is awesome.
I would have considered myself a bigger fan of Adam than of Kris during that season of Idol but now, by far, I like Kris better!

Tina: I watched a few minutes of AI last night... Simon actually seemed nice!

J/L.. I think my stress is just everything going on right now.. work, family, money.. its just all builds up.. This last six months of being slow kicked my butt, and yes now work is coming in, but I have long way to go to catch up...
My business partner has not be well so that is adding to it, he comes into the office, but at times I see him zoning out..
I am hiring two new outside agents and with that comes training, which is a total pain in the ass..
My cousin the one with the drinking problem is finally showing improvement.. he is in a out patient rehab and goes to AA once a day.. I still have to keep a watchful eye out for him, which of course I do..
Oh my I chatted to much.. J/L are ya sorry ya asked.. :O)
There is very good news tho... We have a couple of blogs that will be posted by owls.. in the upcoming days.. so Tina and I will be able to chill a bit..

Carol I would never be sorry I asked! I know how difficult it is to do your own work and still train someone new at the same time. It more than doubles your work, I swear, and yes, that makes it very difficult and stressful. You are probably wiped out at the end of the day. I hope your partner gains his strength back soon. Also, really glad to hear that your cousin is on the right path.
