Have you ever signed into blogger to double check that there is a blog set up for the next day, only to find out that there isn't? That just happened to me!!!!! I KNOW!!!!!!!!!~
So I think I'll tell you about "travel day!"
I was delayed in SLC because it decided to start snowing and no one was prepared for it. The de-icing machines weren't ready to go......we thought it was only going to rain! I spent over an hour waiting before they even started de-icing the plane! I almost finished my book with all that extra time! I was just worried because Lynn was supposed to meet me.
Lynn was worried because after running thru the airport in MSP trying not to miss her connection, SHE was delayed. I guess the winds were so bad in ORD that they were delaying arrivals and departures. My plane even had to circle once before landing.
Now Barb and J/L......it's so hard for me not to laugh!!!!! They missed their flight. It kept being delayed....a couple of minutes here....a couple there....and the next thing they knew, the plane was gone. They never heard their names being called to board. Luckily, they caught a connection thru Denver and still made it in before me!
And then there's Jodi!!! On her drive to the big city, her radiator broke. A couple of hundred dollars, a few hours of her time, oh...and some cheese curds and a public pee later, and she was back on the road. She didn't arrive until around 8pm!
Di had it the easiest. Her flight was fine. She even met her next husband! He's blind and thinks she's beautiful~ :D

yes Goldie....there's wireless~ but it's better to stay in the business center, cuz Di is nekkid now and I've lost my sight!!!!!!
The good news for me is that when my roommate gets nekkid tonight I will be liking it!

Morning Glories! Well kind of.
I knew I was not in WA anymore when I hit Minneapolis. Two guys next to me on the plane started talking and I almost blurted out are you from Fargo??? But kept my mouth shut.
I have learned that I can sprint better than Flo-Jo and can leap over barrier ropes with best of them. Actually better because I was dragging my suitcase.
Now last night I slept with Jodi, but half way through the night I awoke and realized Sacbarb was in bed with me. I just rolled over and there she was. WTF??? Sacbarb says I was dreaming or something. Must have been the two margaritas.
Goldie I just read your post and I am staying in your room tonight!
Ok off to go look for the elusive Chicago Weenie.

I am packing for my overnite adventure to Chicago.. weird tho not much really to pack.. I am usually stressing over what to pack when I go away.. but one night does not require much..
Sal (business partner) is still in rehab, slowing getting better.. and IS #2 came home today.. thank goodness.. they have him on seizure meds that they feel will work for his kind of seizure's.. He is doing good and glad to be home..
Ok.. back to packing..

Carol, so glad to hear IS 2 is doing better. Seizures are one hell of a scary thing. Hopefully with the meds he will continue to get healthy!
I have been thinking so much about the comments of a few days ago when Ross popped in so unexpectedly.
I have to admit that I have a soft spot for the old Ross Blog. And I will tell you the reason why. That is where we all met and became friends. I remember my first time commenting. I was so scared and nervous. Who are these people? Are they stalkers, axe murderers, will they steal my info from the internet? It took all my willpower to make that first leap into commenting on a Blog! And what did I encounter? Friendship and laughter. And, no one stole my identity!!!! (YET, lol)
And, when it all came to an end, I was scared and worried. But then the NightOwls was formed, and it was just AMAZING!!
Even though we all had fun at the old Blog, the Owls Nest was bigger and better, and has evolved so much over the past two years.
Where all we did was comment on the day's activity of Ross, and then maybe a few things about ourselves, here is where we have really become the close knit framework of what is really called friendship.
Each day I read a new and amazing Blog, from a myriad of friends. Some days it is a video that sparks just the right emotion from deep within. Other days it is humor from our very witty Owls. Sometimes it is a deep and emotional blog, one that brings out the sadness, and hurt that we long to admit, but haven't until someone else talks about it.
I know I don't comment very often. But, I do read each and every blog that is written. And I take away with me for the day some humor, insight, new thoughts and opinions each day.
I just wanted you all to know, those that are meeting in Chicago, and those in their homes, how much I appreciate Ross for "letting us go". Without that, we would not be where we all are today.
And thank you Carol, for being the glue that keeps it all together!
And on that serious note, time to move on and say LET'S HAVE A DRINK TO CELEBRATE US!!!!
So, raise your glass of wine, margarita's, Spotted Cow, diet Pepsi, or whatever your beverage of choice is, and say "TO US, MAY WE LIVE LONG & PROSPER"" (love ya, Shirley)

OMG..the company here is fantastic...! We were all sitting around talking and it felt so good! :) Can't wait till everyone comes. Goldie and Mr. Goldie were very nice hosts! Even had band-aids for poor bleeding owls and great service with a smile..haha.
I had to go and work out (of course)...and then went in the pool for 30 minutes. Talked to my poor neglected (and mad at me) daughter. And now off to FB for a sec and then to bed....
Thanks everybody for being SO FREAKIN FANTASTIC! :)
Oh, and Tina doesn't smack hard, but she sure does a swift kick in the booty...haha.

Hi there! I think everyone is asleep but me! I am rooming with Jodi. No contact so far lol! I don't expect a strange face staring at me in the morning!
Tina,DI, Jodi and I went for a quick late meal at ....HOOTERS!! I felt ancient the minute I walked in the door! Their "hooters" were a little perkier than mine! Ok, WAY perkier!
Time to snooze.......
i can't sleep. hotter then hell in here. i sure hope Carol likes the room cool
i'm so pooped!!!! Di won't get off the dang phone!!!!! apparently she needs to talk to every family member before going to bed!!!! we only have DIL and the dog left to talk to and then we can sleep!!!!! thank God~
