2006 began my internet adventure
4 yrs later, the windy city awaits me
i will miss who cannot be with us

Looks like from Area 51 that there was some late night hootering going on..LOL..~! I felt bad cutting out so early but I had 3 hours of sleep the night before and got way too excited yesterday...it was good to finally come down and get some good & much needed sleep. :) The pool was really nice last night too for a cool down! I have already worked out for an hour and been down to the check out the breakfast. I will be down after I get all ready. bbl.

I have escaped to my room to loosen up my pants! We have been eating up a storm today! Jodi's tator salad was excellent! Now if we could just trick her into giving up her famous recipe!

Okay, that felt better. Tina, I didn't mean F you, personally. I meant it to the Rally I think, cuz there are always curveballs thrown at us.
Goldie, your German cousins won't let us drive in Germany, which we have to do to get to the next checkpoint. The cars are being loaded onto trucks and driven through Germany to Denmark.
So somebody comes up with the brilliant idea of ditching our support vehicles and flying to where the cars will be brought. We can give them the once-over when they get here whilst the drivers are being bussed (Gumball Rally, the Bus Ride) to their cars and hence, us.
We made it here on the dinky little plane only because we all put our arms out the windows and flapped, providing additional lift and idiocy to the entire idea.
Great idea so far. Here's the curve. We don't know exactly when the cars will arrive. We ourselves, are without transportation. It is 4:00 a.m. I think. How would I know? I don't know where I am. Where ever it is, it's not a "real" airport. No rental car station. So we are sitting on a bench, with 4 vanloads of equipment and nowhere to put it, nothing to put it in.
I just love it when a plan um... completely falls apart.
Hey Hooters! I just spoke with the Chicago group. They are all having a fantastic time, except when Jodi hit them with a water gun. hehehe!!!
I had the pleasure of speaking with Jodi, Carol, Goldie, Just Lin, SacBarb, Lynn D, Whabbear, Maureen, Bebbi, Mary, Tina, Dianne and I hope I haven't forgotten anyone. They are all taking tons of pictures and several of them have flips so we should get some videos too. I can't wait! I made Carol say cawfee a couple times...it's so cute when she says it!
Carol wanted me to let everyone who isn't there with them that she wishes they were and that everyone is having a great time.
It's been said before but I'm going to say it again...this blog is very special and we have ourselves to thank for that. I told Bear to hug everyone for me and then to get Carol to hug him for me. Now I'm going to (((((((HUG))))))))) all of you here.

There are helicopters! People are coming in helicopters! It wasn't a bad idea. I even got a nap on my bench. Like a Hobo. We have 3 vans and a car, too.

Shirley, what sweet things to say. I hope all the Chi-Owls are having a blast! Throughout the days I wonder what everyone's doing at different times. I will check back later.
Okay..I am heading to bed..really tired tonight. It was a fun day in the lobby of the hotel...very fun, we made our own little owl's nest and stayed in it all day..talking and talking! :)
