We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but can y'all say a prayer or send positive thoughts this way? My cousin, the matriarch of the family is being rushed to the hospital 911 now. She fell twice and with the second fall she can not get up. She has been sick for a while, but refused to go to a doctor and I am so afraid of what they will find. Im thinking of throwing on some clothes and just heading to the ER to support her sisters.
Ok, her sister just called and asked me to come to the ER to sit with them. BBL

Shirley Thanks for the freaky and funny blog today. Actually, does anyone do anything special for their face that they feel really works? I've never taken care of my skin properly and should have starting years ago. Once in a while I'll buy some new cream, try it for a few days,get bored or lazy, and never do it again. What a waste of money. I do put on an alpha hydroxy cream under my makeup as a moisturizer, but mostly because it makes the makeup easier to spread.
J/LIN: My headache is down to a dull roar..thanks! Somehow I think that mask would make them worse..I'm just imagining all those screws hitting me at the same time...ouch!!
MO: I hope things turn out okay for your cousin. I am glad you are there to support them...what a great family.
BIRDEE (FROM AREA 51): I will see if we can detour thru Chicago to look for you on the road and we will pick you up and show you those big tall buildings. Shhhh.. I haven't told MrD about the little detour yet!

But my last husband got the bright idea to pleasure me with it by attaching the 2 little pads to my naughty spot.....
I can't remember a thing from right after the first wave of electricity hit me.....but I do pick up Sirius Radio thru my dental work now....
and I think we all know what happened to my last husband.....

I think one is just born with those genes....but it doesn't run in families....I have a sister thats younger than I am and she looks like a sling-shot fed prune.....not a tooth in her head and so fat that the other day she sat on a quarter and 2 dimes and a nickel flew out...
I just consider myself lucky to have all the A-list physical attributes that I have...and to be so humble....
Yes...humble because I watched what sis went thru.....without the advantage of being beautiful like me.... When she got acne in the 6th grade and all the boys were calling her "Shirley Pimple".....I didn't stand idly by.....
I'd sit her down in front of the dresser mirror and say...now look.....look at yourself...I'd wipe away her tears and tell her...you don't look a thing like Shirley Temple....those boys are stupid!! Shirley Temple has that head full of thick bouncy curls!! Look at you hair!! Its thin and stringy!! Nothing like Shirley Temple!! And Shirley Temple is a movie star!! Where do those boys get this crap!!

Well, I walked 26,737 steps so far today, only a measly 8.4 miles today which means I need to get back out and take my beautiful little doggies for a walk. I would be happy with 10 miles today. :) I am so happy it is finally sunny and I got a terrible burn on my neck so you can officially call me a redneck from Kentucky! Sweet, huh!
It's so perfect here right now, son is barbecuing with the smell of pork and sweet potatoes in the air, grass is mowed, humidity is dropping down and I have had the best day today with my family! Other son and mom are coming over too in a little bit. Life is JUST TOOO GOOD SOME DAYS!
I would love to stay and play...especially since I have injected so much fun into the nest today....
But guess what....Lisa sister is giving a "trailer trash" going away party for Lisa and Mark.....she bought a new airstream and truck to pull it....gave away her BMW...and has almost completely unleashed all her earthly responsibility to hit the road with no map or plan....just to go wherever the road leads.....I hope with all my heart that the road leads back to Bryan and that this isn't goodbye...but I have to let go and let her do this her way.....
I say that as I lash myself to the bumper kicking and screaming...NOOO!!!!
She just told me on the phone that she has a sentimental gift for me....so tonight is going to be rough....

I just spoke to MO. Her cousin is STILL in the ER. They took x-rays and by the grace of God she did not break any bones, but she is not able to stand by herself. So they are admitting her overnight. Poor MO sat in the room she was suppose to be admitted to for 3+ hours....finally went back down to the ER and her poor cousin is still sitting down there. They decided to run more tests before moving her. MO will post more when she gets home.

If only a ship passing in the night could see how slutty I have been today...roflmaooooooooo! I took a nice long hot bath and I feel so good right now!
Bonachichi: LOL! Well, I do have a whirlpool but I didn't use it..and yes, the electronics in the bath would not be good.. I had candles lit and hubby came in and put a lit incense in the room..it was nice and relaxing..
Nothing sexual, just a little me time. I don't care much about the sexual just about the sensual. And the relaxation, and the cleanliness and the quiet time..you get the idea.
I just got home from the hospital. They kept Joanne in the ER from noon until 11 pm. The leg and hip are just bruised, but since she can't apply any pressure they admitted her. Since she was being admitted, they started running a bunch of tests. Her blood counts were REALLY low (we knew she was anemic at best)and they found blood in her stool. They did a CT scan of her abdomen and are awaiting those results. They started her in IV fluids and are giving her 5 units of blood. The blood transfusions will take 20 hours. They were debating about taking her to a regular room or ICU. They decided to start the transfusions in the ER so she can be monitored and finally about 11 they wheeled her and her bag of blood to her room.
In many ways she is very lucky. At her age and having 2 falls and not to have broken anything is a miracle. Her BP and heart rates are good. I hope the CT is clear and all the problems she has had over the last couple of years will be gone with the blood. At one point she looked at me and asked me if she had Cancer. I told her no, that if anything like that showed in her labs, she would have been moved to Oncology right away. I hope that is right. Then she kept apologizing. I feel so bad for her.
Thank you all for the hugs and prayers and positive thoughts. Please keep them going a bit longer, ok?
I am so tired. I will go back to the hospital tomorrow.

I just got home from the hospital. They kept Joanne in the ER from noon until 11 pm. The leg and hip are just bruised, but since she can't apply any pressure they admitted her. Since she was being admitted, they started running a bunch of tests. Her blood counts were REALLY low (we knew she was anemic at best)and they found blood in her stool. They did a CT scan of her abdomen and are awaiting those results. They started her in IV fluids and are giving her 5 units of blood. The blood transfusions will take 20 hours. They were debating about taking her to a regular room or ICU. They decided to start the transfusions in the ER so she can be monitored and finally about 11 they wheeled her and her bag of blood to her room.
In many ways she is very lucky. At her age and having 2 falls and not to have broken anything is a miracle. Her BP and heart rates are good. I hope the CT is clear and all the problems she has had over the last couple of years will be gone with the blood. At one point she looked at me and asked me if she had Cancer. I told her no, that if anything like that showed in her labs, she would have been moved to Oncology right away. I hope that is right. Then she kept apologizing. I feel so bad for her.
