today is the wedding
the eldest becomes a husband
and takes his wife with love
i will watch with a heart filled
with joy, and tears of happiness
i watch them together very often
and can see they have become one
they finish each others sentences
many thoughts they have are the same
he looks for her, as she looks for him
i don't remember the last time i have
witnessed such young love
in such a close manner
and each moment i cherish
to see them is pure
even tho i am not his mother
my heart feels as a mother would
letting go, and watching them
start their journey
together as man and wife
emotions are very strong
i will look to the altar as i walk in church
to see my three IS's standing there
one becoming the husband
and the other two standing at his
side as the best men
i will watch, and be grateful for what
i have been blessed with
and think, how did i get so lucky
my heart is filled
they all complete me
they give me my strength
they have made my life
a precious one

Tina, from a couple A51's ago, I did know you came from a "school" family. The woman I wrote about (Jamie Brown Jamie Brown Jamie Brown) is in my eyes, a criminal. The principal who knew about the crap she was pulling (Mr. Ackerman Mr. Ackerman Mr. Ackerman) is corrupt and an accessory to a crime. The school district that ignored all this (Oak Park Unified Oak Park Unified Oak Park Unified... in Oak Park, California, just in case there are any doubts), is just a good ol' boys' club. I DARE anyone I mentioned to come after me for Libel. What fun that would be!!

CAROL...here at Italian weddings there is an abundance of confetti (jordan almonds - many actually import them from Sulmona) and cookies. Regardless of the hall or banquet room, relatives bake cookies...hundreds of cookies!That is in addition to the cake!
When my cousin got married a few years ago there was actually a cookie room...thousands of cookies!
