You've probably already heard this story, so you can skip this if you have. When hubby and I were dating, my sister was all ga-ga about this singer. He sang in Spanish. I knew all about it. I was used to it. She loved him....blah...blah...blah! One day hubby was over and my sister was all excited because Luis was going to be signing autographs in LA and she and our cousin were going to go. My hubby asked who he was and my sister told him. Luis Enrique. She went a step further and showed him the album cover, and yes, it was an album cover. She wanted to show him what a cute guy really looked like. Well he got her! He started laughing and told my sister what his real name is and that they went to High School together. So instead of the two of them going to see Luis, all four of us went. When it was our turn (long line), hubby got in his face and said, "Luis! I'm your biggest fan!" Luis laughed and came around to hug him and ended up hugging us all. Very nice guy! My sister.....omg! I'm surprised she didn't pee her pants on the spot!~ I don't think she believed my hubby! Anyway, when I told hubby that I didn't have a video for today, he suggested Luis.

I don't want to jinx anything, but I believe the humidity has finally left. I actually had to have covers over me last night. Today is sunny, windy and I haven't turned a fan on. I like it!
My sister Marilyn and her daughter came down last night for the weekend. They are staying at mum's house (which is now my sister Robin's house) until Monday. I'm going to go up there sometime this afternoon. It's the first time I have been there since the day after mum's funeral. Don't know if it will bother me or not. Have a good day Owls!

If the civil rights of millions of gay and lesbian Americans are not important, then neither are the pathetic rants of almost a hundred thousand Palin addicts.
If millions of children without healthcare are inconsequential then why should I give a rat’s ass about a hundred thousand shitheads who actually think Beck and Palin have something worthwhile to say?
As long as millions of American Muslims don’t have religious freedom, a hundred thousand Tea Party yahoos shouldn’t be allowed to have cable television. It only seems fair…
I just can’t believe 87,000 people are dumb enough to buy that crap. If Beck and Palin want a government so focused on one God and one religion, they should visit the Middle East and see how that concept is working out. It’s gotten to the point where you can’t distinguish Fox News from the Christian Broadcasting Network. It’s nauseating.
Palin and Beck don’t care about you, me or anyone except themselves. They are getting filthy rich pandering to angry white mobs so transparent in their racist feelings toward the President that a sheet of Saran Wrap would cast a darker shadow.
The greatest threat against America is not terrorism. It’s not a mosque in Manhattan. It’s not gay marriage. It’s not healthcare reform. And, believe it or not, it’s not even Beck or Palin. The greatest threat against America are the tens of millions of Americans who won’t turn out to vote this November effectively giving power to 87,000 angry assholes.

DeeDee, the bigger mystery is...why do you watch Fox? If it riles your kankles and you don't believe any of it anyway, makes no sense to me ijs. I never watch it. I watch local news and current events of the world. I vote and keep my nose clean. I donate to many causes that I feel can be trusted. I totally agree with that piece on so many levels. I have just tried to ignore the I want less govt crowd because they do not tell the truth. I always notice that when interviewed none of them want to give up their Social Security, Medicare etc....
We have a relative who falls into this group and was all to happy to collect his unemployment for 2 years. Yep he hates that damn interfering govt.
I was also starting to wonder if I was the only one who had been noticing the one religion rant, terrifying.

I have my hair at 9:45a, then makeup at my SIL's house at 11a.. The groomsmen will all be there, and I am in charge of pictures, not sure how I am going to take pictures threw all the tears that will be streaming down my face.. my brother will be there to.. which will really put me over the top, as I never thought he would ever have a relationship with his boys again.. but time sure does heal wounds... and things are good..
I don't imagine that anyone with any intelligence watches Fox News...but we see clips and we hear about all the crap they pull and know what goes on with that sorry excuse for journalism from people like Rachel Maddow and others who are more interested in the truth rather than stirring up angry mobs then pandering to their ignorance....

I think you need to get to know me a tad bit more, you see, I don't only agree with Italians and being Catholic. I am very opened minded to many things, we don't have much interaction with each other, so to say that about me, is a bit unfair... I am a very intelligent person, and pride myself on knowing the things I know and being true to myself, I, my parents and many family members watch Fox news. I don't think any of them are unintelligent. My dad came from nothing, he lived in a three room apt with his mother and his three sibling's, he had to work at a very young age to help his mother pay the rent. He was drafted into WW2 and each month sent all his money home to his mother. He served his full 4yrs. Once he settled into marry life, he opened a very successful restaurant. We all live very comfortable because of his success as a man, father, husband, business owner.
I don't think a movie has to be made. 19 Hijackers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE and Lebanon, all will let us never forget 9/11
I lived it, I saw it, I feared it. So no, no need for a movie..

Oh goody! I love a piñata!!! So much fun! We always had one for our birthdays and Easter when we were children! We had this HUGE tree we hung it from in our backyard.....perfect for hanging piñatas~ My daughter even had one for her last birthday! Oh...and you know what else I loved to play? Pin the tail on the donkey! Let's play!!! And I know the perfect ass we can use!~ :D
