Catholic Shampoo

by Sac Barb

TWO NUNS WERE SHOPPING AT A 7-11 STORE. AS THEY PASSED BY THE BEER COOLER, ONE NUN SAID TO THE OTHER, "WOULDN'T A NICE COOL BEER OR TWO TASTE WONDERFUL ON A HOT SUMMER EVENING?"

THE SECOND NUN ANSWERED, "INDEED IT WOULD, SISTER, BUT I WOULD NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE BUYING BEER, SINCE I AM CERTAIN IT WOULD CAUSE A SCENE AT THE CHECKOUT STAND."

"I CAN HANDLE THAT WITHOUT A PROBLEM," THE OTHER NUN REPLIED, AND SHE PICKED UP A SIX-PACK AND HEADED FOR THE CHECK-OUT.

THE CASHIER HAD A SURPRISED LOOK ON HIS FACE WHEN THE TWO NUNS ARRIVED WITH A SIX-PACK OF BEER.

"WE USE BEER FOR WASHING OUR HAIR" THE NUN SAID, "BACK AT OUR NUNNERY, WE CALL IT CATHOLIC SHAMPOO.

WITHOUT BLINKING AN EYE, THE CASHIER REACHED UNDER THE COUNTER. PULLED OUT A PACKAGE OF PRETZEL STICKS, AND PLACED THEM IN THE BAG WITH THE BEER.

HE THEN LOOKED THE NUN STRAIGHT IN THE EYE, SMILED, AND SAID:

"THE CURLERS ARE ON THE HOUSE."

Thanks so much for the comments yesterday! I always get a laugh out of any kind of play on words.

It's so freakin' hot here..and this coming week will be worse..so if you don't see me for a while..you can just assume that I've melted into a puddle in the backyard..k? ;)

Have a nice Saturday everyone!

I'm not cleaning up this place. I had it sparkling yesterday and Mo and Shirley always come in and mess it up--- not fair. I'm not I'm not.

Funny blog Barb. Thanks for making me smile this afternoon.

Zona---go jump in the pool and turn that dang air conditioner down. Maybe u could sit in the car with the air running full blast----I always like how that feels. It's getting to rain here. I just had a dream about tornados this afternoon. I hope it didn't mean anything.

Soooo. Hi Mo and Shirley. What r u two doing this weekend besides slopping up the manor? I don't have any plans today so it's a boring day for me

Mo, Kerplop back at ya gorgeous. I love it when I get shoes on sale.

Dianne, I saw Wicked at the end of May. The Music Circus stats at the end of June. The first show is Grease. Let me know how the Adams Family is.

Shirley, LOL @ vodka body wash.

Zona, It was 108 here today. I stayed inside my house with the A/C blasting.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This is one Catholic joke I haven't heard before.

Zona Our inland areas had some high temps today. Here on the coast it was 73. In other words, perfect!

Dianne Well, I didn't do a whole lot today. I did get down to my bank before it closed so I could get the new debit card they sent me activated. Apparently, someplace where I do business had problems with their server being hacked so my old card might have been compromised. I had lunch out by myself and picked up a few things at the grocery store. My granddaughter and I made a big batch of chocolate chip cookies from scratch rather than from the premade Nestle's cookie dough that I've used recently.

SacBarb 108? Well, crap! Did Zona send that to you? I hope you send some back before mid July. LOL
