Get me outta here!

Tractor plow almost swooping up Italian Stallion # 2

Just keep piling up the snow

Piles and Piles

The crew in action? Then why are they all standing around?
(this pic cracks me up)

Each winter you truly forget how debilitating a snow storm or blizzard can be. I guess you actually want to forget it, because it causes so much grief. It sometimes seems your outside surroundings come to a complete stop as the snowflakes fall. This winter NJ has been hit with so much snow that our state is over their normal budget for snow removal. I have never been so tired of snow as I am right now. I have decided for today, to take a chill pill, and enjoy the site of it, cause if you can't beat it why fight it..

My goodness....thats a lot of snow.I never saw anything like that when I lived in Denver. It was just a steady winter of snow...which was enough to piss me off...I can't imagine what a headache this must be....

Of course I would need to see more pictures of Italian stallion # 2 once he is warmed up and out of those wet clothes to make a better assessment of the situation there.....are those dimples?

I do want to mention that my new avatar is Chi Chi Miranda....the cutest thing ever that I received from Tina in SLC yesterday...

Don't hate......

I just saw the news that Chile has had a major quake and a tsunami warning has been issued for Hawaii. I hope it turns out to be an unneeded precaution....

Morning Glories!

BAM! Deedee You are the prettiest today.

Carol tell stallion #2 to watch out Deedee is eyeing him. LOL

Crazy snow and earthquakes. I am a little nervous since we live in a quake zone.

I heard on the news last night that when these things hit we are so ill equipped in this country because our infrastructure and now budget cuts in all of the states that it just makes everything harder. Guess that is why they tell you to keep at least a 4 day emergency supply of food and other disaster items. I say at least 7 days.

The plus is look at how wonderful it is that all of the stallions showed up to help out and it also makes us slow down our pace a bit because we have no choice. So you have to take the good with the bad. Ok yeah that was way Pollyanna on my part! Snow fucking sucks!

Hi Tina you look lovely this morning, but not as beautiful as Deedee! BAM!

Yeah I seem to be pain free this morning and I am going to get through the day with no meds! Good thing I think they were making me cranky and depressed.

J/L I have had a bladder infection and a kidney infection. This was more painful. Evidently a rock in the plumbing causes all kinds of damage and is hard to flush!

oh! Good morning sweetheart....I am waiting for my tray (nods sweetly and blows poison dart)

Wow... look at all that snow. Who could forget something like that from one year to the next? I know, all of you. It just seems that I would remember being trapped in my home.

Carol, you have an army helping out by the looks of it. Little comfort I'm sure, but imagine if they weren't there.

Good morning to Dee (so pretty today), Tina (awfully quiet today) & LynnD (glad your rocks don't hurt). Cheers to everyone stopping in later!

Good morning Lynn D!!

Lynn you are so funny....Stallion # 2 is prolly married.....well is he or not!

My second husband...or was it the third....I get them mixed up....anywho...one of them had to pass a stone....doc gave him a strainer to catch it with...I guess so he could see it to know it had passed....I still think that was a practical joke....I mean have you ever seen a man pee!!?? Most of them can't even hit the commode...must less a strainer that they are simultaneously holding in one hand while holding the "lady killer" in the other hand......well when it happened you would have thought he was passing a Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade float...what with all the screaming and moaning.....and then runs to me with it excited to show me what all the commotion had been about....I didn't feel the need to look at it or smell it....come to think of it ...that WAS my last husband and that was the morning before the evening when he got toasted....rest his soul...in hell.

That was my delete... DeeDee, sorry about the misspelling of your name. Sometimes my fingers don't tell my brain what to do. Wait. Sometimes my brain doesn't tell my fingers what to do. That's it. Yeah.

I am @ work, will be here all day, my appt just left, so now I can down and dirty with all my paperwork.. Streets are plowed so all is good.. Not as stressed today..

Yes Mo, I think we have more snow then you, which is odd, cause you usually get more snow then us..

Bonacci.. Yes, thank goodness for all the IS's and their girlfriends, not sure what we would do without them..

Tina.. glad u enjoyed the pics.. I can't believe u don't have any snow.. This weather pattern is so weird..

Lynn.. I would be nervous to.. earthquakes in Japan, Chile and a salami (as my father calls it) in Hawaii. Crazy!

night.owls.sb said...

Why is there not info on the Japan earthquake only Chili.. I am cornfused..

Maureen said...

CAROL...I'm not sure about the lack of news on the Japanese eartquake, but maybe it could have occured off shore with little or no damage.

Pres. Obama is on TV now talking about Chile. 147 people have died so far and the potential salami could affect American shores.

night.owls.sb said...

Mo..

LOL on potential "salami".. so not funny, but yet soooo very funny..

:O)

Well went to the food bank for a bit. They had so many volunteers that I was just a bump on a log so I left. The other girls can handle it today.

Deedee, my friend Angel and her Mom took me to the store the other day so I could get dog food. Had to have a designated driver as I was pretty stoned on vicodin. Her Mom asked me if they gave me a strainer? Well being stoned and all I thought I was hallucinating when she asked me that.

I had her repeat it, and yep she asked me if the gave me a strainer. I just looked at her like she was from Mars. NO they did not give me any freaking strainer! Ewwwwwwww. Ok I am curious to see if I am squeezing out any emeralds or blood diamonds, but not that freaking curious! Evidently when her daughter in law had them, and has them all the time, they gave her a strainer. I did not want to know if she went panning for gold. To gross.

Mo no one but you! I did post on face book last week that I was enjoying the rolling stones. No body got it. They said cool and poor iteach (Jennifer) asked me if I was dancing. I felt kind of bad then. PS I was stoned again.

Tina this earthquake stuff is making me very nervous. We are in the ring of fire. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier are volcanos. Mt. Rainier has been dormant a very long time but the scientists tells us you never know! Scary. When we lived in Puyallup the town just below it called Orting has an active warning system just in case Rainier goes! They would evacuate to Puyallup which is a higher elevation. Scary.

Going to check my FB and then Mr. Lynn D and I are heading out to a movie and then grossry shop. See ya'll Later taters.

Lynn D said...

Carol the earthquake in Japan happened 50 miles off shore from Okinawa they were more worried about salami there to. About 10 miles deep in the ocean is what I heard on CNN last night.

Good morning, Dee Dee, Lynn D, Tina, Bon, and 'weenie!

Carol: An employee of mine who's working remotely from NYC has thrown in the towel... she and her husband are heading to Florida for 4 days just to get away from the snow.

You should do the same!

Just_Lin said...

Living on the coast, whenever there is threat of a salam, bunch of people go right to the beach to look for it. Do they think they can outrun a salami if it came? Some people are so stupid!

Carol. I don't know how you can live in a place that snow like that. Of course, here we have earthquakes and threatening salamis.

Mary/MI said...

Carol, those pics could have been taken in my driveway! We are all running out of places to pile the snow! I sure hope it doesn't all melt at one time!
I have been glued to the weather station and the Hawaiian news stream. I need to pick up
gross-eries!
Whabby, I am getting "out of town" tomorrow..going to Florida for some greenery!
I just spoke to my son. I knew he was going on a cruise, but not sure when or where. They landed in Miami this morning, so that is one less thing to worry about :)

LynnD, Ouch on the the pee stream!!

I was talking to Kgirl earlier. She said she was home safe and cozy, then her phone rang and was told to go back to work She took off like a bat-out-of-hell. I know she works close to the water.I am thinking she may have to secure stuff. I sure hope they won't make her stay there!

Gottah go Mr Mary is tapping his foot. Our roads are slushy so he is my taxi today. LATER...

CAROL - We definitely have NOT had as much snow this winter. Although the first big storm of the season deposited 18 + inches. Thankfully my hubby has a 4 wheel drive and took me to work that morning!! We still have at least 8 inches left on the ground, but thankfully I think there will be a lot of melting in the next week. Our temps are suppose to be in the high 30's!!! Yeah...spring is on the way!!!

Waving a wing @ DEE DEE, TINA, LYNN, BONACHICHI, MO, WHABBY & MARY!!!

Jodi said...

OMG...SLIN waving @ you 2!!!

DeeDee said...

Well wasn't that a let down...."run run!! tsunami! tsunami!"

Pulease! I was watching a live stream from Hawaii and zip!

Those poor news people were trying so hard to find a "Salami" wave among the normal ones....its was just pitiful....

Lynn D maybe you could go give St. Helens or Ranier a good hard kick and try to get something going up there.....

I am just feeling really let down...

Hello and Goodbye!!
I am off to San Fran and Vegas and to see my beloved Jon Bon Jovi!! Eat you heart out tina~ :)

Be good and I'll check in with you all ....

Carol- that looked like a typical day here in WI... Did you read in the news that Al Gore has been strangely mum on global warming? lol

MWAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys!

CAROL: I'm sorry you are getting hit with so much snow this year. I think it's really pretty, but then I don't have to drive in it or shovel it. If I did I'm sure I'd have a different attitude.

We were supposed to get an inch of rain today. It may not sound like much..but for those us that live here in the desert..it's enough to really cause problems. You can usually count on hearing a siren within a couple minutes of the start of a storm..people here just don't know how to drive in the rain. So far..no storm..but they keep saying on TV.."It's coming..it's coming.." yeah..I've heard that before! ;)

Mr Z and I were out running errands all day today. CAROL, there was no parking lot circling..we had a gift card! Amazing how that can end the confusion..lol..

Zona said...

DEEDEE: Congrats on FIRST to you and Chi Chi Miranda!

LYNN: Glad you are feeling a little better! Enjoy the movie and dinner!

GOLDIE: Safe travels! Have fun!

JODI: I think our lowest this winter was 36..I'm never sure if it's spring or not..lol..

TINA: I'm sure you and the kids will have a great time! :)

MARY: Mr MARY taps his foot..Mr Z paces..I think it all means the same thing.. ;) Enjoy your trip to Florida..I'm glad your son is safe and sound! :)

MO: If I tell you the temp today..will I have to duck? Or protect my ankle? ;)

HI BONACHI! HI BEAR!

night.owls.sb said...

Goldie..

Enjoy your trip.. and of course JBJ.. and yes I did read the in the news about Al Gore.. not sure why tho..

Zona..

So funny.. Arizonians can't drive in the rain.. I guess living in the desert it would be kinda hard to navigate thru water.. and I gotta try the gift card thing, great idea for a def destination..

Dee..

I agree.. I was waiting and waiting.. and nada..

JodiHO!

Waving right back attcha! I think I got all your snow.. :O)

Mary..

Enjoy Florida.. soak in some sun for me..

Just_Lin said...

I am happy to report that no big salamis hit the shores of our town although there were plenty of news trucks parked down at our local Linda Mar Beach waiting for one.

DeeDee LOVE Chi Chi Miranda! Too cute!

Jodi Hi! Sorry I missed you earlier. I was afraid you'd be in bed so I didn't call back.

LynnD My husband had a strainer onece. Isn't that special?

Bonach Thanks again for all your help. I still haven't been able to tget to it yet but I will let you know how it goes when I do.

Just_Lin said...

I do know how to spell "once". Honest.

Tina~in_ut said...

LynnD~ Everyone I've ever known that has had one, has had a strainer~ thought it was crazy~

Di is rocking and rolling on the high seas~ She did say that it is not Mr Di rocking and rolling her~ It's the effects of the salami~

Just_Lin said...

Tina At least someone's getting the effects of a big salami tonight. It sure ain't me.

Tina~in_ut said...
