Yes, American Idol!
American Idol, still has me in its grips, from the very first season I have been hooked. Some years have not been as special as other years, however last year I enjoyed it, and was happy with the winner. I also loved the very first year with Kelly Clarkson. This year I loved so many of the contestants, especially the last three. I must admit Danny was my favorite, and I would have loved to see him go all the way. I totally think Adam has a amazing voice, however he will probably do a rock album, which I would never listen to. So my bets are on Kris, he killed on his rendition of "Heartless". All tho, I also think Danny's rendition of "You are so Beautiful" was amazing. I am hoping for Kris to win American Idol, he actually is the underdog and I like routing that way. We shall see next week.

Sorry Carol I'm not a big Idol fan. I watch some of the auditions but then when it goes live you lost me. I don't like Ryan Secrest. He struts around like he is the cock of the walk. Then the contestants sing a song which I thought was horrible and that the judges are going to nail them for, and it turns out everyone loved it and I'm sitting there saying WTF? I may tune in next week though just to see who wins.

SHIRLEY...I get what you are saying. Sometimes I think a song sucked and the judges nearly hyperventilate raving about it. Then there are other times when I get chills and then the judges rip the kid a new one for it! And I really get mad when they use the old "bad song choice and arrangement" cop out.
CAROL...I could talk Idol all day! I too have been hooked since day 1. I am sure Danny already is being courted for a recording deal. His rendition last night was even better then Tuesday night. I think they all sing even better on Wed. night because all the pressure is off. Whoever loses next week is still a winner...as is Danny.

I missed Idol last night!! I took son to visit Grandma and Aunt& Uncle in Monroe (about an hour away). We went to dinner then to my Nephews scholarship awards program at the High School. He picked up 5 scholarships- ranging for 300 to 750 each. Yeah for him!
Had to drive home thru some nasty storms, thought I was never going to make it. We damn near floated part of the way.
I am sad that Ki-ki is going home today..:( I actually like my kid and he is a riot. Gonna miss him, hope I get to see him before Christmas.
I am an Adam fan, if Danny had to go. I have never been a Kris Allen fan. So hoping that Adam wins.

CAROL: I just read yesterday's blog. Our house is paid for, and our property taxes aren't too bad. What upsets me is that the housing market here is so bad that whole sub-divisions sit empty, except for one family. They can't sell because no one wants to live in what is essentially a ghost town. Our house's value has decreased by almost 50% in one year, but our taxes and insurance continue to go up. It makes no sense.

Carol - I enjoyed AI last night. I love all three of them. I guess if I have to pick one it would be Adam because of the range of octaves that he can sing. I love his ballads but I am not a rock fan.
It may be the best thing for Danny to be third. He is now free to make any records he wants right now. The other two are tied up with AI for two years. I think that's why Daughtry did so well.
Next week will be fun. If there was only one million votes between Kris and Adam last night, out of 88 million votes, then it could be anybody's call. It all depends on how big of a base of fans they have. It should be a fun night.
