DEE DEE - Pretty light duty...no lifting with my left arm and I have to wear my sling. I don't think I'll have much trouble waiting on customers and doing the bookwork, though!! It will feel good just to get out of the house!!!

I hate Mondays as I have to actually go out and mingle with the real world and people from the food bank start calling me at 8:00 am on Mondays.

Back at my desk and working away with an ice pack on my foot which is up on an open drawer. Good thing I'm wearing a skirt...teehee

I want to thank everyone for their prayers for Mr Z yesterday, it helped him a lot to know you were all thinking of him. He is doing really well today.
Just to clarify what happened..he was trying to clean up some automotive chemicals that spilled in the garage. He lifted up this really heavy table to clean under it..and somehow it came crashing back down crushing and severing the top part of the little finger on his right hand. It was awful..but his surgery went well and now he is being waited on hand and foot..he seems to be liking that a lot!

I have to go finish cleaning up the garage..Mr Z moved things all around before he was hurt..and I need put them back where they were so I can do the laundry. I also need to clean up the aftermath of his accident..but I AM NOT going to touch that crazy table..ijs..

Goldie, Sorry about your broken toe. I, too, am wearing one of those big ole boots since last Friday. I did something to my Achilles tendon and it hurt like a mofo, so I am supposed to wear this thing night and day for 4-6 weeks. We'll see about that!

Hi everyone! Painkillers...........
Afternoon All.... Well, I am home from going to two - yes two..dentists. My tooth has been hurting like a ------. The new root canal is okay but the tooth that it was done in has cracked in half. He couldn't do anything so sent me to my primary dentist. He was going to pull the tooth today and leave an empty spot until later...Nope, I will have none of that as this tooth is near the front so I go back tomorrow and have it pulled and a temp bridge put in for six weeks and the a permanent one. I told him that I am going on a cruise in a month and I am sure not going without a damn tooth. Now all of you....I have never had a tooth pulled and am very nervous about this whole thing. I had wisdom teeth pulled but back in the old days for me they put me in the hospital overnight so it was a breeze. I don't even like the shots before the work is done. MrD is over at the store now getting me percocet and penicillin so it should be a quiet night around here as soon as I take a pill. I have been taking vicodin and that works on me about as much as taking an M&M. So, that is my story today. I can't tell you how sick and tired I am of dentist stories. I have never had any trouble until June and then I have had problems every month. I have had three friggin' root canals and one reversed since then..too much!!!
GOLDIE: I hope you will be better. Those broken toes hurt. Don't forget to elevate.
JODI: Ready to go back to work. Would you please pass me some of that candy...the nut and carmel ones, please.

J/L: How that weather up there? Did they save that apartment building?
Jay Leno is going to be on Oprah Thursday so that might be interesting as he doesn't usually do talk shows. I also read that a guy named Big Mike got kicked off Idol because his dad told the local newspaper that his son was in the top 24 and you are not allowed to reveal any of the details until they are broadcast. I'll bet his son is pissed at daddy dearest!!!
I was telling my granddaughter that I was going to put my tooth under my pillow and see if the tooth fairy gave me as much as they get and she said well, we have two tooth fairies that come to our house...the regular one and the Nana one. I had to laugh and then told her that my tooth was going to be taken out in two pieces (oh yea, forgot to mention that special extra they are doing for me) so I guess the tooth fairy will be dropping by here twice!!

Dianne Extractions are soooo much faster and easier than a root canal, even if it is in two pieces. You'll be surprised.
As for the apartment buildings: A giant crane is dangling a metal platform out in front of the bluff and a couple of guys have been drilling large soil nails and grout into the side of the bluff. They are hoping to use these as an anchor to create a cement wall up against the side of the bluff. Next door to that, another apartment building owned by the same man, lost another chunk of land behind it today.
