I was looking through the TV Guide for the upcoming week and reading a section called "Cheers & Jeers". In that section, they point out things that happened during the previous week of programming which they feel were especially good or especially bad. Well, one of the "Cheers" was for the performance of the British band, The Heavy, on The Late Show with David Letterman. As they put it, the band blew the roof off! Their performance inspired a Late Night first.....David requested an encore. I happened to watch the show that night and I have to agree. I was up and dancing even if it was 12:30 a.m. I love the sound of this band. I hope you enjoy it, too.

J/L Fantastic! I am a sucker for a good Horn section! This bands is out of this world! Great energy and driving beat and a soul twist! Everyone can have a good guitar player but sax and trumpet come on!

CAROL - I could've used your pillow to STOMP last night. ;)
My arm is feeling stronger everyday. I've been "dangling" it 2-3 times a day. I'm determined not to let my shoulder get frozen up, and will do anything to make physical therapy go as well as possible!! Which I start tomorrow after work.
Thanks again to all my friends...you have really made a difference in my recovery!!! Oh, and I must say, aside from the little old lady that makes coffee at my store, not ONE person in my "real life" sent me a card or even called to check on me!!! Ok, GOLDIE....you are sooooooo a part of my life now, but I was referring to the people that I work with, school friends and my relatives.

Thanks everyone for your concern for Mr Z. He worked 12 hour days last week..and now he's paying for it. His hand swelled up to twice it's normal size and he was hurting bad on Friday. We weren't sure if he was going to have to go back to the ER yesterday. I told him to just rest..and then we'd see how everything was today. His hand looked a lot better this morning..and he says it doesn't hurt nearly as much..thank goodness. Trying to get him to just sit around and watch TV was a fulltime job though..geez.
He goes to see the doctor tomorrow morning..hopefully when the bandages come off..his finger will be healing nicely. It's been kind of scary not knowing what's happening under those bandages though..
TINA: The only part of AI I've seen is "Pants On the Ground" (sorry MARY) and that was on FB..I had every intention of watching it from start to finish this year..but once again..I just never turned it on. One of these days though..
CAROL: I don't think I did any complaining yesterday..Mr Z did enough for both of us..in fact..he complained enough for everyone in the nest! Drove me bananas..but I was very patient..cuz I knew he was just frustrated and in pain. It wasn't easy though..lol..
I've been out in the garage trying to locate the source of the fuel smell that started this whole mess. I'm moving boxes and totes..and it drives him crazy that he has to watch me hauling all this stuff around and can't help. We still don't know what the problem is! Every cleaning and car product is out of there..and it still smells like a gas station. It's giving us headaches both literally and figuratively!
MO: I tried the baking soda..no go..it's still bad..
I'm out of ideas..and I'm exhausted..can anyone help?
GOLDIE: I will be praying for your nephew. I hope your toe is feeling better!

Zona do you have a lawn mower, leaf blower or any kind of equipment that runs on gas? If you check them, they may have a leak. Can't think of anything else. I did help you on your island I revived your dead crops. :)

That group is great! Love the brass! I miss a lot on tv unless I know its happening.....except those that list who is on like SNL...LOST is starting the final season with 3 hours of it Tuesday night....and isn't that AI night?

My doctor has changed my anti anxiety/depression drug to super heavy duty Pristiq..for awhile..you know...with Lisa sick and all....I love the change...I am so chilled out......
Doc says you can really be stressing and not know until you get a symptom of it....and I don't want that....I have had a major heart attack and consequent surgery and I sure as hell don't want to do that again....
I really have stress on my mind this morning....I was thinking about it when I dropped cigarette ashes in my banana split I was having for breakfast....I know what you're thinking.....and you are right....

Zona Mr. Z is being a bad boy to overdo. He needs a time out. LOL I hope you solve the mystery in the garage soon. Is it a gasoline or turpentine type smell of a gas line type smell? Make sure to check any old, used rags that may be out there, too. They can actually self combust witht he right stuff on them.

Zona, there are a lot of nerves on the end of his finger, very sensitive! I used to sew car seats at Chrysler trim, (Corinthian leather lol). I was always sewing the ends of my fingers! OUCH!

I've got the garage 2/3 cleaned out..and I'm pooped! We still don't know what the heck is causing the smell..but I've washed all the surfaces I can for today..and opened the backdoor to air everything out. Hopefully that will help.
LYNN: The leaf blower and edger are electric..so is the chainsaw..scary that we own a chainsaw..isn't it? The only thing that runs on gas..besides Mr Z..is the lawnmower..and that's in the backyard.

I ventured out to the cheap movie last night to see Brothers and it was pretty good. We also went to a little new cafe right by the movie and was able to eat on the right side and took a milkshake into the movie with me. Today...did nothing but getting ready to drink a Starbucks (thanks to my sweet little hubby) and watch the Pro Bowl. Guess I will have to record the Grammy's at least until he falls asleep.

Zona, please be careful with that gasoline smell... My nephew was doing some work for me and he decided to clean some engine parts with gasoline. Then he plugged a machine in and WHOOOMMPP!! My nephew and his buddy came running out of the garage (minus an eyebrow or two), then I heard a fire estinguisher and an angry German voice. That was Granat, the owner of the garage and he is indeed German. I asked him what he was yelling about and he said, "I vas telling ze leetle sheets to come back and feenesh blowing zemselves UP".
Anyway, if you smell gas, there are fumes in your garage. Even an electrical arc can spark and it is not a good sound when the fumes ignite. Also, people look funny without eyebrows.
My island is almost naked because my little person got stuck. It couldn't move. So I started deleting things. Then my person had a sex change, I didn't recognize the island, my cat turned into a dog and everything was in French. I used seeds to write FUCI in the field because I ran out of room and couldn't finish the K.
I am still recovering from that fun, yet disturbing episode.

J/L....I never was a regular smoker but I even stopped "social smoking" back when it was acceptable about 30 years ago....I do buy them when my family is going to be around...keeps them away from me.....

J/L: Did you ever hear or see them together at Christmas singing? They were on Oprah and I would imagine you coule utube it too. I think it was What Child Is This...I thought they did great then too. Maybe I just like him so much that anyone could sing with him....not TINA...BUT anyone else.
