Morning Glories!

Tina is moaning into first this morning!

Deedee she was hilarious! So true never send a man to the grossry store, and I agree I don't care what things cost by the 1/2 ounce!

If I take Mr. Lynn D with me it takes 3 hours instead of one and I end up spending twice as damn much.

He has to walk every damn aisle and read every freaking label! Then gives me the ingredients and how much the break down is per ounce by the price listed. Drives me fucking insane.

Then I will be grabbing what is on the list turn around to ask him something and he is gone!!! I look and look for him, starting to get that panicky lost toddler feeling that every mother gets when shopping with the children. I have to corral him and make him focus. Some times I wish for a cart with a seat big enough that I can tie him up in....errrr I mean seat to belt him into.

Don't even get me started on how many things have high fructose corn syrup in them because he can spot it two miles away before he even reads the damn label! Oh I should say I read the damn label for him because 9 times out of 10 he left his glasses at home!

PS does anyone need 3 dozen cans of olives? He found them on sale.

Good Morning and Moaning!!

Great Vid DeeDee. LOL- I personally can send or take my husband to the store and he is good about it- but we do seem to come home with MORE then I intended to get.

I can never figure out how he sneaks some of that stuff in the cart! All of a sudden the cashier is ringing up Whole Cashews and Twix bars, which I know I did not add to the cart!

Hope everyone has a good day!!

DeeDee, this vid is exactly why I simply adore southern humor! There is a talent for story-telling, and southerners have it. Thank you for the belly laughs!

Good morning Tina (of course), Janice, LynnD and Goldie!

Hi everyone!
I'm not talking to you Tina, you ignored me when I visited you on your farm last night!

DeeDee can't see the vid yet, but I can relate to the topic. I NEVER take Mr Mary shopping of ANY kind!
He is a "grab what I came for and run" kind of guy! He hates shopping, which is fine with me lol!

Area 51, Jennifer, until this year we have only had outdoor pets. I cat sat for a friend of mine once and knew I never wanted one inside. I found cat hairs everywhere and paw prints on my counter tops. She was a big fluffy, spoiled, long haired something-or-other. I don't dislike cats, just not for me. We now have a mini Dachshund. She has quickly become the apple of Mr Mary's eye lol! He has never given me that much attention! ijs. Oh well she will be good company for him when I leave for Europe.

I need to get going. I am making the 2 hr trip to see my Bro. Tony. I used to love to drive, but not so much anymore.I may have to make a Casino stop to break up the driving lol!

Waving at LynnD,Goldi, & Bonachi~~

Happy Thursday Owls.

DeeDee, I did not like to shop with my Hubby because he was like Mary's Hubby. He was always in such a hurry to get out of the store, we didn't get half of what we needed. I made him go Christmas shopping with me once, and only once. He kept saying, "Just get this, and lets go." I know he did that so I would never ask him again and it worked.

sacBarb said...

Tina, Imagine that, you got first!

Lynn, I cracked up at the visual of your Hubby in a big seat in the cart and you wheeling him around. BTW, I'll take some of those olives. :)

Mary, We went to a casino when I was in Oregon and I won $36.00. Woo Hoo! I felt lucky. My SIL dropped $200 and we were only there for two hours.

Waving a wing to Goldie, Bonchichi, and all the Owls. I hope you are all having a good day.

I saw this this morning and it made me laugh....btw Tina is in Spokane...landed about an hour ago....with College boy and Mr. Tina in tow....

IT'S SO HOT AND DRY IN TEXAS

....the birds have to use potholders to pull the worms out of the ground.

....the trees are whistling for the dogs.

....the best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.

....hot water comes from both taps.

....you can make sun tea instantly.

....you learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.

....the temperature drops below 95 F (35 C) and you feel a little chilly.

....you discover that in July it only takes two fingers to steer your car.

....you discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.

....you actually burn your hand opening the car door.

....you break into a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 A.M.

....your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death"?

....you realize that asphalt has a liquid stage.

....the potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull one out and add butter.

....the cows are giving evaporated milk.

....farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs

IT'S SO DRY IN TEXAS............

That the Baptist are starting to baptize by sprinkling,

The Methodists are using wet-wipes,

Presbyterians are giving rain checks,

And the Catholics are praying for the wine to turn back into water!

Good Morning!

DEEDEE: Omg..she is so funny! I can't believe I've never heard of her..I laughed through the whole 7 minutes and 53 seconds!

Mr Z does a lot of the grocery shopping and he loves a sale. Lately our grocery store has had 'Buy 10 items and get $4 off' and there is a list of participating items. He will walk in circles to get the 10 items. I try to tell him that he is only saving 40 cents each..doesn't matter..he only sees the big picture. At this moment our freezer is so dang stuffed with frozen vegetables that it's hazardous to open it. I don't know how many times something has slid out of there and landed on my foot! And since it's all frozen..its definitely cuss worthy!

And he always brings home something from the bakery. His rational is that it was 1/3 off. I don't care..don't bring home donuts!! He came home with a dozen last week..promised he bought them for himself..and five minutes later told me "I'm going to have one of your donuts" arrgghhh! Well..since they're mine..I'll throw them away..lol.

Don't get me wrong..I love the fact that he is willing to shop..especially when my knees are hurting..but c'mon..use some common sense! Oh wait..he's a man.. LOL!!

Zona said...

TINA: Good moaning and where ya goin'?

LYNN: Mr Z disappears too..but I can always find him wherever dvds are sold.. ;)

GOLDIE: Sometimes I wonder why I make a list..last week he came home with four things not on it..and without two that were. I'm still trying to figure that out..

MARY: Have a safe drive and a nice visit with your brother. I hope he is improving every day! :)

BARB: Thank you sweet lady! I'll keep an eye out for it..especially with my goofball mailman.. :D

TINA: Never mind..just read DEEDEE's update..no tears now..he won't be that far away.. :)

DEEDEE: LOL@ so hot and dry in TX..that could apply to here as well! Well except for today..cuz right now it's raining..lol..

FROM 51:

JENNIFER: My family has always had pets..dogs, cats, gerbils, parakeets(sorry DEEDEE) and even a pigeon we nursed back to health. We just have Nikki now..but every week I look at the Humane Society website..I want to get another dog so bad. Mr Z says we just can't afford another one right now. I'm not giving up..he'll cave soon.. ;)

BIRRDEEEE!! My prayers are with you today! ♥♥

MO: Thank you for the update on BIRDEE!

SCIRISH!! So good to see you! How are you feeling?

BARB: The pool was actually cool yesterday..what a waste of the onions, carrots and parsley I threw in there to make soup.. ;)

DIANNE: I cooked an entire roast beef dinner the other night..what a comedy of errors..but it turned out all right. Martha Stewart strikes again!! :D I hope you are feeling better and having an easier time getting around!

Got some kracka-boom going on outside..better sign off for now..have a great day everyone!

Hmmm... I try to break my own land-speed record in the grocery store. They see me coming and get out of the way.

Zona said...

HI BONACHI! You were tucked in there and I almost missed you!

Zona said...

Just checked out the local news station web-site..headline is "Want a pet? Humane Society waves fees" I want two! Or three!!

Lynn D said...

Zona why do they buy crap and then try to convince us that it for us?

Bon I usually try to go in and get my stuff and get out. The older I get the more I hate to shop!

Deedee, Tina must be dropping off the oldest to start college. I really like Spokane but it is about an 8 hour drive from my house and I don't get there often.

Ok need to head out and do the hair thing and grossry shop. The casino is out. The dogs say they need food. Then I have to go drop off items for the last fundraiser that I am participating in for the food bank this weekend. My duties will soon be over.

Tomorrow I may not be around as I have to help set up the tents for the event and I have to be fitted for a freaking strawberry costume to wear in the damn parade. Then I have a mammogram after that and YES Barb a doctors appt about my sinus and ear problems right after the mammo. Then back to make sure the tents are ready to go.

Saturday parade and I will help a bit with the booths. Sunday help with booths. I still feel like crap and look like crap but will finish this out.

I will be back after I have my breakdown.

DeeDee said...

Could we get a photo or video coverage of the Strawberry Costume....???

bonachichi said...

Oh, look at DeeDee's avatar. She must be the Creamed Corn Champion.

DeeDee said...

I don't know if that was some kind of crack Bonachichi....but that is one of our fine "general facsimile of" corn products...the VERY popular

CORNBRATOR

in a convenient purse size ear...

takes 4 AA batteries (not incld.)

Not available in Poland....for some reason a lot of women were breaking their teeth.... :\

bonachichi said...

It was indeed a crack. Or a crump. And I'm proud of it.

Good evening feathered friends!

Most men, it seems are not great shoppers! Either they cheap out on stuff or they hoarde it because it is on sale! I remember my ex would buy bulk size bags of razors and bulk bags of socks! Probably had a lifetime worth of them...in a small apartment with little storage space!!

BIRDEEEEE and RUBY update:
RUBY was back to the Vet today and the meds are working. The Vet even asked if it was the same dog that was there yesterday! She still has to take meds 3 x day, but she is doing much better. BIRDEE is too!!

I didn't mention it yesterday, but MAMA BIRDEE had knee replacement surgery today and is doing well. BIRDEE has had a lot on her plate this week. Your thoughts sure helped her get thru. I knew I (and BIRDEE) could count on you all.

Maureen said...

LYNN...I hope all goes well with your mammo and md. appointment.

I guess I have been under a rock for a while...you are done at the Food Bank??????

Maureen said...

I took Sharon to run some errands tonight to get ready for the big homecoming tomorrow morning of Joanne! Nothing like waiting till the last minute!! Oh well, she bought me dinner!! I am keeping my fingers crossed all goes well. Joanne started to have diarrea again today. Hoping it is just the chocolate covered popcorn her friend smuggled in to her yesterday and not the C-DIFF coming back or effects of the radiation.

Maureen said...

MARY...how wasd your brother today??

TINA in Spokane...hope your baby boy settles in well at college. They sure do grow up fast. And BTW...have you stopped bawling yet? LOL!!!

Congrats on moaning again at 1st Tina. I hope your son's absence isn't too painful for you.

Good evening Lynn D, Goldie, Bonachichi, Mary, SacBarb, DeeDee, Zona and Maureen.

DeeDee this woman is very funny!! I have never seen or heard of her before, but she tells a great story! I love that type of humor. Thanks for the video!!

I finally have a minute to myself!
I had VFW Aux business to catch up on. It is membership time and keeps me hopping!
My Brother is doing fantastic! He was all smiles. His IV drip was taken off and the blood infection is all gone. I told him about my "nesters" and all the prayers and good thoughts sent his way. He got a big kick out of it. He asked me to thank all of you! "Thank-you"!

SacBarb, I made a quick hour stop at the Casino, that happens to be right on my way ;-). I came out ahead over $100.

Zona, I would never turn down a doughnut! ijs

DeeDee I didn't know Gonzaga was in Spokane!

Shirley(NCC-1701) said...

I have my own theory about men. Do you want to hear it? Here it is anyway.

Men ACT stupid to make us THINK they are stupid so we won't ask them to do anything. While we are trying to explain something to them they ask so damn many question we just tell them "never mind I'll do it myself". At least that's what I've heard.

Maureen said...

SHIRLEY...you're up late. Is everything ok?

Shirley(NCC-1701) said...

Yeah Maureen I'm ok. It's 12:40am, and I will probably go to bed soon. I've been staying up late and sleeping late in the morning till noon.

DeeDee said...

oh Shirley...you've heard of her....and her stories....haven't you?

whabbear said...

Shirley: I think you nailed it! LOL!

Scrishy: It was so great to see you check in yesterday!

SacBarb: I am SO like your late hubby! I can't stand to shop, and drive Jim crazy because when we shop together, all I want to do is get out of the store (any store) as fast as I can!
