Shirley~ Love Love this song~ I played it earlier for everyone~ Angela is dead, though.....she had never heard of it and i thought she should no longer live!!!! Didn't even know who was singing it!!!! DEAD I tell you!!!~
LOVED Diana Ross in her hey-day.....I went to a concert in Austin at the Erwin Center (in the round) and sat in the front row....she was so beautiful and electrifying that my knees knocked thru out the performance......
Near the end I positioned my self where she would be exiting...she was moving quickly but still touching people and shaking hands.....WELL!! when she got to me she grabbed my forearm and looked me in the eye with a wonderful smile....
I thought..."no one is going to believe I got to touch her and that I got this close"....lol
There were several friends at the concert that were not seated with me....I looked up and there they were overhead around the railing.....THEY SAW EVERYTHING!!!!
and I am still milking it!! lol
This song is from the movie Mahogany...released in 1976...the concert I got to see was prolly 1979 or 1980....
I remember her singing this song but the but first thing I think of is when she did "I Want Muscles"....and had all these guys come on stage and she ripped their shirts off.....YAY!!!!
and that was a song that Michael Jackson had written for her when he lived with her in his teens...
I know none of this has to do with the blog but but ya know me and a tangent go hand in hand....

I couldn't help but notice your Facebook avatar being one of the Sihanoukville beaches in Cambodia....probably Ochheuteal Beach judging by the presence of so many of the increasingly rare Mreah Prew Phnom trees....rather than the common palm trees that people associate with that type of setting...
Now I don'y know what you have been doing there...nor is it any of my business....but my personal surveillance satellite..."TRACE"...has tracked you making several trips to and fro originating from the private island of Mick Jagger in the Caribbean...
And you say "I" have an interesting life...
So for the sake of your privacy my lips are sealed....I didn't say a word....

Shirley, I am surprised at you! You should know better than to try to pull the wool over DeeDee's eyes! On second thought, maybe you have a certain "Ghost Farmer" like I do. Maybe she does all the traveling for you, cuz she has a passport and all kinds of ff miles.

BTW, at my age I am already "where I am" lol! Life has been good to me. I am not filthy rich like DeeDee, or beautiful like (gag) Tina is today, but happy and still ready to take on new places and challenges.

And your blog today took me back to the mid 80's, when I went to a local venue in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, to see, not Diana Ross, but Mary Wilson in concert.
Mary was fantastic... just total star power, to the point where I was compelled, along with several others, to go up to the stage and shake hands with her at the end of her concert.
She was mahvelous!!!

ZONA: Hope your rain comes here during the week. It is hot but the nights are so beautiful here. It's usually in the low 70[s or high 60's at night. We didn't need a jacket or anything last night...just a cool Colorado breezy night!!! BTW...he's gone...heck, he has a show to do tonight in yet another state! I'lll bet he will be yawning through those song tonight...:) I pick him over Jon any day but I do like Jon too and John Elway too hee hee (had to get that in there). We get to see Toby Keith next month...I really like him too.

I went fishing this morning and didn't catch anything but my son did, napped, then to a Vanner Club meeting, then watched the brakes burn out on the van, and then home where my son cleaned and cooked the fish. Nice day, very busy weekend but a lot of fun!
Bebbi...this thing with the fish has to stop....I can recommend a non-violent diet if you like....

DeeDee: I will have you know that I didn't catch a one all day and I usually just give them a kiss and throw them back. It is my son who is getting into this whole "catching, cleaning and cooking them"..thing! I agree, but I want to be supportive of him so I helped again.
