~ Raise Your Glass ~

by Tina~in_ut

I really don't care what Pink sings.  I love it all.  This song is "celebration for people who feel left out from the popular crowd".  It's for the underdog.  The video itself is based around one of Pink's real-life experiences, and features a celebration of gay marriage, expressing her views that people should not feel any differently towards gay marriage than straight marriage.  It also features protests on bull fighting and animal abuse.  There is one part of the video that I don't particularly care for, but hey, it's her putting it out there, not me~  I hope you enjoy her song.  (DeeDee, suck it up and listen! mkay?!  And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!) :D

Good Morning MO! I hope you have a wonderful viewing experience today! :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEEDEE!

Yesterday was such a goofy day here..we got none of our errands done..so we're off to do everything today. Tomorrow we get an early start as they begin POUND POUND POUNDING on the roof as soon as the sun is up. That should be fun! Not. ;D

Have a nice Sunday everyone!

Sorry about this old house dress....Belle had an "accident" on my bday frock!

Oh good...I see the gifts haven't started arriving yet....or the decorations....or the refreshments...or the cake....or the dancing fairies......

well tis early....but back to the gifts...could you stack those by the divan by dimension...and alphabetically please....the key to any good birthday party is organization!

wait a minute...theres a party...with gifts and cake and everything....right?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEEDEE!!!! I am yelling loud to wake up the rest of the nest to alert them to the big birthday today. Maybe SHIRLEY will make you a pancake or something. You can fly over to my place to eat and cheer for t he Broncos and we will all sing to you..hop on that jet now!

Morning TINA AND ZONA AND LYNN. Morning to you to Mo from the "shrinking violet"!

thanks Dianne...can you cook me a pancake football? As tempting as that is you know I have to hang around here to greet the endless throng of well wishers...and of course...make my birthday address!!

My subjects expect that...er..I mean my friends....

well here...we can just get this out of the way...just a few words on this auspicious occasion...

1935....a marvelous year for some things ...Nov 21st....1st commercial crossing of Pacific by plane (China Clipper) ...and a horrible year for others....Nov 14th - Nazi's deprive German Jews of their citizenship......and FDR proclaims Philippine Islands a free commonwealth......my birth day...for me...the beginning of ironies I still see today....

Good afternoon feathered friends!

I hate to bring down the blog today, but can you all find a moment to send some hugs to our BIRDEE?

Her beloved RUBY crossed the Rainbow Bridge early this morning.

DeeDee, I spent all day making a pie for your birthday. I put so much effort into it, seeing as you occupy a special place in my heart. I trudged through fields, searching for the best ingredients. I suffered a wide assortment of hazards, not limited to interesting smells and slight risk to my own life.

So here, just for your very special birthday I give you a handmade...

COWPIE!!

Happy Birthday

Hey DeeDee there is a Pop Tart in the kitchen for you. I wrote Happy Birthday on it and stuck a candle in it. You better blow the candle out soon cause it's really only half a candle...I used it on Tina's cake too. Enjoy!!

Tina, with people inside the Catholic church like yourself, Carol, Barb, etc. etc., I have hope that someday, we shall overcome. Thanks for expressing your support through Pink's song!!!!!

The midterm elections were devastating to our hopes of ending DOMA and ending the official law of this country that enshrines and codifies discrimination against same-sex marriage and the married partners of federal employees. Sadly, it's not at all clear now when this shameful law will be repealed.

And in the meantime, we have to face the sobering fact that the "National Organization for Marriage", an organization backed primarily by Catholic and Mormon and Evangical Christians, was successful in Iowa at convincing the populace to vote the judges out of office who issued the ruling making same-sex marriage legal there.

We have our work cut out for us!
