It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Sorry I missed the party yesterday....SHIRLEY you outdid yourself as always. I had to work then get ready for the little trick or treaters. Is it me? Or have manners gone to the wayside? Most of the kids that came to my door didn't even say trick or treat, let alone say thank you.....WTC!!! One little guy didn't even ring the bell....just started opening my door!!
I hope everyone has a great Monday. I have the day off. Working on some laundry, reading The Girl Who Played With Fire. It's the second book in a series by Stieg Larsson. The first book was great!! If you have a chance read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. It starts a bit slow, but by about 1/4 of the way in I couldn't put it down!! Dad just called with his grocery. I'll bbl.....♥
Thank you for the birthday wishes~ I just got the BEST present EVER!!! My MIL just left with her sister and bil.....I now have the day to myself~ .....and my bed is calling~

"SO late with this! But thanks for decorating and cooking at the Manor, Shirley! I was there... honest... but spent most of the day yesterday upstairs in bed, nursing a hangover! Shhhhhhh.....it was nice a quiet up there... nobody bothered me!"
Jodi, your observation about Halloween "manners" cracks me up. Kids come to our doors to extort candy from us, and we want a thank you.
When the little twads come near my home, I start pelting them with Fun-Size projectiles. They get their candy, I get some target practice. Ah, good times.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TINA......glad you received such a great present today. You missed a fun party here at the manor yesterday.
CAROL: You are so darn lovely today....beautiful Our fall weather sounds like yours with all the colors. Our weather has been absolutely beautiful...no snow in the city at all and that is very unusual for us. They are skiing at a few places in the mtns now but they make the snow to help along the real stuff.
JODI: I noticed the kids last night didn't say thanks a lot either. The little ones do the most. They are all so cute. We came home from my son's early as I am still not feeling great. My tummy inside feels like I am carsick or pregnant.....nasty!
CAROL: You certainly are the prettiest today! We're still waiting for Fall..it's 84 today and will be in the 90's tomorrow and Wednesday. The nights are much cooler though..lovin' that!
JODI: Enjoy your book..I'm glad you found some quiet time to read! :)
EBJ: We had the sliding glass door and all the windows open last night..it felt wonderful in here! :)
DIANNE: I hope you'll be feeling better soon! Maybe some ginger ale would help? :)
We had a really nice Halloween..almost 300 trick or treaters..old friends stopped by..family..lots of laughter and fun..it was a great night!!
Right now we're waiting for the roofing contractor..he gave us a really good quote and we're signing the papers today..woohoo!

Carol the fairest in the owl land this morning.
Fall is here the leaves have changed, but today I woke up and it was 69 degrees and the wind blowing like crazy. Now it is wind and rain.

It is sunny and warm here this morning, have my sliding door open. It's going to be in the 70s today.
I just looked at the weather app and Weds. it will be 79. Isn't this November? Normally we have rainy cold weather.

yes Jodi...I agree with the fact that trick or treaters sometimes can be very rude....
but we had some really cute ones...I think...as best I could see as they fled as the sprinklers went into their "Scarface" routine....
