i need some sunshine, as hard as i try at times i
can't seem to find it, we can look in all our usual
places, thinking it will be there, but to no avail, it
just does not seem to appear
as life goes on, more issues arise and each day
brings a new hurdle, as much as i think something
is behind me, it either resurfaces, or i am hit with
something new
what is happening of course, is just life, as we all
go thru it, the ups and downs, the sadness and the
happiness, all mixed into to one
i guess it is just up to me to keep on going, to fight
the good fight, to never give up, i just think at times

we brought for school, with the black and white spotted
cover, it already had the lines in it so our penmanship
was straight, how great would it be to open that book
and all the instructions on life were in it

Carol you speak of sunshine but I haven't seen that in a long time. My sun seems to have gone behind a very large, very gloomy dark cloud. I don't know if it will ever return. The wit and humor you ask of me is also gone and I'm sorry for that. I've tried. It's just not there. I'm just not there.

I know it has been dark for you, I can see and feel it. There are times where the sunshine cannot be, however we have to try and find it, just as I did with my words. You must open the curtains you must let it peek thru, please you must try.
And I know its not one thing that keeps it dark, it is just everything, and that is what makes it so hard, we can't pinpoint and work on one thing, its just so many.
We have one life, and for some it is not a easy one, so we have to fight for everything, as nothing comes easy, if we were not up to the task it would not be given to us.
I miss the wit and humor, heck, we all miss ya.

CPGEM: That sunshine can sure come and go in an instant...as I learned the other day. But as you said..that is life...and life often just sucks. I try and find something every single day to smile about. Whether it be an email, a phone call, coming to the nest..the way Nikki looks at me...something. It isn't always easy, and I don't always succeed...but I have to try.
MEK: Just about six weeks...and you'll be smiling at our mild temps..you wait and see!

LYNND: I have talked to TINKA a couple times. She is heartbroken and exhausted...but she's hanging in there. Her family and friends are all around her and giving her lots of support.

Carol, it seems we all are looking for the sunshine. I don't now why it is so hard to find sometimes, but I DO know we can't stop looking for it. I had such a good example in my Mother who had many times when there was no sun, but as a child I never knew it. She always gave us the sun and I try to remember that whenever I am down. Sometimes it is easier than others. Thanks for the reminder today.
Shirley, I echo Carol's sentiment. Open the curtains even if it only lets a sliver of the sunshine in. Soon it will light up the whole room. Maybe you can start by reading an upbeat book or story. Now that you have your new glasses, you can take advantage of them. Please know that we are all here for you. Maybe if you fed us, you would feel better???? LOL

I have another doctor appointment today. My body seems to want to go into the toilet all at once. I am so tired of doctors and being stuck with needles for blood work. I have tiny rolling veins and they keep sticking me and running the needles in my hands and arm and missing. It's so gross.
I will be happy when I see the silver lining and the yellow returning.

Carol Thank you for your blog today. So many owls are having a hard time these days.
I don't want to whine, but this Custard break up has been excruciatingly long. We said goodby, yet again, yesterday morning. That must be the 3rd or 4th time. He says he is very sorry for hurting me (uh, huh), that I deserve better (oh, yeah), that he will love me always (sure), and if I ever need anything, he is there for me (choke!). In other words, blah, blah, blah! The jewelry he made for me should arrive today or tomorrow. I will acknowledge its safe arrival and that should conclude our "business".
Things could be worse, I could be stupid! For those in need of a laugh I have posted a bulletin on MS of the 2007 Idiot Awards. Very funny!

Zona Thanks for the hugs. The water works are slowing down. I only cried briefly yesterday and so far, not today at all. It will help to have the communications between he and I terminated completely. Otherwise, it is like poking a stick into an open wound.

Carol, When I am feeling bummed out, I look for an I Love Lucy show, I count my blessings,I exercise, and think of some of my favorite vacations.This may sound counter productive in a way, but I also look at how many more years I may have left on this earth, and decide not to waste even ONE feeling sorry for myself or for complaining (too much lol) for my many aches and pains! I think of my Brother who cannot walk, but keeps a sunny disposition.
My brother Joel and two sisters, their hubbies, Raquel & I took him out to dinner on his Birthday. It was his 2nd time out in 5 yrs! He smiled all through dinner. I will always remember that smile!

My husband and I tried to talk to these neighbors yesterday, FORGET IT they were JERKS, TOTAL JERKS!!!!
In fact, the 32 year old called my sons middle school to get him in trouble again. The Principal told him, I'm sorry sir, this is not a Middle School Problem. Anthony came home very upset that he was yet again pulled out of his class and missed instructions and class time. SOOOO John took off of work today, he called the Police, and he called the Principal again. The nicest officer came here and talked with John and I for an hour and explained things to us and answered questions, I asked him if he could come back at 3:00 and talk to Anthony (I was sorta joking) he said he would. Well low and behold when I pulled up to my house from picking up the boys from school, There he was sitting in my driveway waiting for Anthony, he sat down in the driveway with chairs from my porch and talked with Anthony for about a 1/2 hour. I was very impressed and it made Anthony feel a LOT BETTER. He told Anthony, not to look at them, talk to them, just IGNORE them. Anthony had questions and he answered them. Of course all the neighbors were out there looking and being nosey. I have Anthony in one on one Therapy, and also in Group Therapy for Anger Management.
Shirley, I agree with Carol, as hard as it was for me today to go outside, I did go walk to the mailbox and around the house, it was hard and I was shaking, if I could do that, so can you, just open your curtains a little.

Carol, I'm afraid my post didn't translate too well. I didn't mean to sound unsympathetic. I have had many down and depressing days in my life. Some that made me want end my life. It was a long road to my currant safe and sane place. I was only speaking for myself. I understand life is complicated and everyone handles things in their own way and in their own time.I will always try to lend and ear to anyone who needs to vent.
Again, I am sorry if I offended anyone. Life is not always a bowl of cherries, but I do try to make lemonade out of lemons.
I don't know what happen last night, but all of a sudden I have accepted our new level of income.
For the past five months I would either get angry or sad that we had to make big cuts in our budget.
However, just a big calm of wave went over me and I'm now looking at our new budget with new eyes.
It feels good to have finally come at peace with our new lifestyle.
