Nobody Knows....

Pink, Nobody Knows

She might be a rocker and a rebel, but she has a powerful voice and some very powerful words. She is a amazing singer, her voice range is wondrous, and she does not scream her words, she sings them, which of course is what a singer is suppose to do. So many in today's music world scream their words, as the range is to high for them so their singing turns to screaming. My perfect example of this is Mariah Carey, I don't think she can sing at all, her words at times are obscure and her voice to me has no range, even her high pitched falsetto, sounds like a squeal to me, I don't get the attraction to her music.

There are many other artists with this screaming range, that truly think they are singing. I am sure you all can think of some.

This song, is all about nobody knowing what we feel, when our rooms go dark and we are alone, our thoughts are our own, it is just us and our inner voice, and all are secrets are safe, as they are ours. And each day we wake we start all over again, in hopes that someone is there to greet us, as we keep our inner thoughts within ourselves.

I want to thank dawn~naughty♥croc for todays Sunday Music Video she led me to Pink on her ms page, which then reminded me of this song, which I have always loved. I could not find it at first, but with prevailed determination I present it to you today! Thanks Dawn!

Enjoy!

Hi MEK! Are you sleeping at all? LOL Congrats on first!

I have always liked Pink. Once you get past her crazy rock look she is an intelligent and compassionate person. I love that she speaks her mind and is a strong person.

Carol love this song! Thank you. So true Nobody knows our inner truth and strength, secrets etc...

Good Morning Lynn and Maureen and all the other owls that are coming to the nest. Wishing you all a good day. I will read the blog and be back.

Tinkatia said...

Thank you Carol. That video was beautiful, as usual I cried all the way through it. That seems to be my mantra these days.

Maureen - Thanks for asking about my mom. I will check my messages and be back to tell you about her.

Tinkatia said...

Thanks to all who sent well wishes for me and for my mom.
They were greatly appreciated. I was MIA because the light from the computer made me feel sicker. Now I just have a miserable cold and knowing that keeps me from seeing my mom makes me more miserable. She has fallen and broken her knee (the tibia) which is the worst kind of break. I will write the details on myspace. She is almost 97 and is now in a great deal of pain. Any extra prayers or positive energy any owl has, could you please send it her way. I will check back this afternoon.
I am sorry I have not kept up with the daily blogs. My thoughts were with the talented owls who wrote them.

Good morning Mo and Tinka!

Mo: Mr. Lynn D is still sick and cranky.

The bundle is doing great and is even staying awake more. He seems to only cry when he needs a diaper change, and he cries when we change his diaper too and when he is hungry. Otherwise he sits like a little wise man looking around and it seems like he is just drinking his surrounding in.

We have had a heck of a time keeping Seamus our Lab/shep mix from licking his head every chance he gets! LOL I have started joking that the kid won't have a cowlick, he will have a Seamuslick!

Tinka I hope you are feeling a little better today. I also hope you Mom is doing Okay!

Lynn D said...

Tinka I just read your post! I am so sorry about your Mom. That is terrible! I will certainly send prayers and healing thoughts for both of you.

I went to church this morning, and it felt so good, I have missed church these past couple of weeks, and being there today, just showed me how much I missed it...

I am off to run some errands, I will check back later...

Everyone! Have a great day!

Happy Sunday Everyone!

We have had a little setback. We spent several hours in the ER last night. Laurie has developed an infection (cellulitis) and is on Keflex.

Her right hand where they put the IV was swollen twice the size of her left hand, and she has terrible bruising in her upper thigh where they inserted the heart catheter.

I am just SO glad they didn't want to admit her and have to do IV antibiotics!!!!

So, this will be short. I just wanted to thank everyone again for all the love, prayers, and support you have given to Laurie and myself over these past several days.

I did go back and read the comments yesterday, before our trip to the ER, and was just wo touched and moved by everyone's concern!!!

It seems like there is alot of sickness and accidents with the Owls and their loved ones.

My prayers and and positive thoughts are with each and everyone who is also undergoing illness.

And TINKA, I am so sorry that your Mom fell and injured herself so badly. (((HUGS))) for the both of you.

TINA & ZONA~ It sounds like the two of you are having fun, but maybe being a bit mischievous???? Good for you!!!

I am off now to get Laurie some lunch. I will be back on the Blog later this afternoon.

Peace and Love to all,

Donna Jean and Laurie Elizabeth

Sorry to hear your Mom fell and broke her knee. My 87 year old grandma fell and broke her knee last year. She had 8 weeks of intense physical therapy. She is doing OK now with a walker. I pray that your Mom's surgery goes just as well. David's 86 year old Mother is also doing well after her hip surgery. The first 6 weeks were rough. I hope that helps ease your mind. It does get better.
DonnaJean
You & Laurie are always in my prayers. I know you have been going through a lot of anxiety. I wonder what causes the swelling when they put those IVs in the hand. My Dad's hand was swollen also. There are very skilled surgeons out there these days and modern medicine...We can be thankful for that.
Sorry if I missed anyone who is having difficulties. You're all always in my prayers.

Tinka - sending HUGE hugs your way.

Donna Jean - sending hugs to you and Laurie as well..

Lynn D - that is a very good question - I think "NO" would be the answer to that!!

Cpgem - nap is coming up VERY shortly!!

Bebbi - are you at the Ryder Cup - that would surely get you WAY over your step count for the day!!

Thelma and Louise - how are you guys doing??!!

Dianne - we don't get the Bronco game here - so you'll have to cheer and throw down those shots for me!!

okay - better get back to my "job".

My town and the town next to me (Sterling) just built a walkway across the river. The river divides our towns. We do have bridge for the cars, but they created a beautiful walkway.

It is very peaceful and refreshing to walk. I took a whole bunch of pictures of all of us walking it this afternoon. I will post them on MS tonight.

We had a great time.

Just_Lin said...

MEK Yes, why ARE you up so early on a Sunday? LOL Congrats on #1!

Carol Thanks for the blog and Pink video. I don't think I've heard that song before....very powerful, indeed.

iteach How great that they built the walkway! I look forward to seeing the pictures.

Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I've checked in and read the blogs but couldn't take the time to read comments or post a comment.

It's been a wild weekend! Went to a Cinn. Reds game with my GS Troop on Friday night. Had such a great time! A few pictures are on MySpace.

Saturday morning was my daughter's dance class. We didn't get in until 1:30 a.m. the night before and I was up at 6am on Sat., so I fell asleep while waiting on my daughter's class to end.

Then we had shopping to do. Then a birthday party. A good, competitive game of laser tag re-energized me. I LOVE laser tag!!!

Then we had to go to the in-laws. FIL's 82nd b-day and SIL's 50th.

Today was a big fundraiser for that teacher I've been telling you about....Her son is battling cancer. I haven't gotten the totals from the raffles, silent auction, food sales, games, etc., but I know it was a huge success.

I've enjoyed all the blogs from the past few days. That little girl who is "gonna kick your ask" is the cutest! My daughter can do a dead-on impression of her.

Love Robin Williams. Love Pink. And yes, iteach, I think I AM addicted to my computer.

I see the Nest is quiet today. Hope everyone is okay.
Good thoughts and prayers for Tinka and her mother.

Hi All!

Congrats on first Mek! Also, no I didn't get to go to the Ryder Cup. I don't have much interest in it. But, I did get to see the firworks from it, last night. Also, the silly Direct TV Blimp has been all around my neighborhood.

Well, I got past my plateau!! I have lost 20 lbs now! I am so excited!! I walked over 11,000 steps today and over 20,000 yesterday. I am so sore and SO beat though!!

Well, I hope everyone had a great Sunday.

Donna Jean, Sorry to hear that Laurie has an infection. I sure hope that she recovers quickly.

Bebbilane said...

Hi Hart! Missed seeing your comments!!

Tink, I hope that you are doing okay and I also hope the same for your mother. We never seem to be on at the same time anymore.

iteach said...

My parents just suprised me with a brand new fridge.

Just out of the blue for no reason.

My parents are kind of wacky that way.

I guess that is a good kind of wacky.

At times I have a strained relationship with my mom, so I was really taken back.

They also bought my sister a big gift too.

I am very grateful and in shock at the same time.

We get it Wednesday.

I've never had a brand new fridge before, I'm really excited.

iteach said...

Bebbi, way too go with the walking.

That is so exciting.

I have thought about it a lot and I think the first thing I want to get under control is my emotional eating.

iteach said...

Tina and Zona, if you think about tonight could you please light a candle tonight at church for Tink's mom?

I'm going to try to get to church sometime this week and do the same.

iteach said...

Donna, I loved your girlscout/baseball pictures.

Bebbilane said...

iteach, I hear you on the emotional eating. The first thing I had to stop was the using food as a sedative to get to sleep! I was up many nights because I am used to getting something to eat to help me sleep. NOT a good idea. I do the emotional eating too. Also, I eat a lot due to peer pressure. Mr. Bebbi and my mother ask me over and over again if I want some of their food. Man, it drives me insane. I mean, how many times can I say no? ....but I do say No thank you, over and over again. The thinner I get, the more they will ask. I know the drill.

Good Morning Owl Friends!
I got up a little earlier than usual, so I'm sitting here with my Diet Dew, trying to catch up on some comments.

Donna Jean: You and Laurie Elizabeth are in my thoughts and prayers, as always. So sorry to hear about your set-back.

Congrats on the weight loss bebbi! (Also, thanks for missing me.) I've been dieting since July, but I've not said much about it because I wanted to make sure I was going to have some success first. I'm doing Nutrisystem and I'm lovin' it! My heel pain is preventing me from walking on a regular basis but I always get my exercise when I'm out with my Girl Scouts.

Congrats on the new fridge iteach! (And thank you for checking out my MySpace pictures!) I'm surprised my fridge hasn't fallen over from all the magnets I have on it!

Gotta go get ready for work now.
Hope everyone has a good Monday!

Good morning, owls!!

Tinka, I am sorry you are going through this. I hope your mom is not in so much pain and that she recuperates quickly. Are you still feeling sick? I hope by today you're feeling better.

DonnaJean, Laurie is such a trooper. I hope all goes smoothly now. Prayers for the next surgery.

iteach, if you got a new stainless steel refrigerator the magnets won't stick. I used to have magnets on my fridge till I got a stainless one. Other than that, I do like the new one better!

Have a great day owls!!
